"You're right Tony, you could put yourself in danger by revealing your secret identity and putting the people you care about in danger, but what if someone attacks you personally? How is your bodyguard going to show up to save you?" Jack asked.

"I can use J.A.R.V.I.S to temporarily control my armor in a fight, it won't fight as well as me, but people won't suspect I'm Iron Man," Tony replied that he had already thought of that.

Jack remembered that in the third Iron Man movie, he asked J.A.R.V.I.S to send dozens of armor into the fight at the end of the movie, so Jack believed that J.A.R.V.I.S could control an armor to pretend to be Tony's bodyguard.

"That's good, maybe in the future you'll have to see J.A.R.V.I.S be Iron Man if you don't reveal that you're Iron Man, and in the next few days if you want to leave, keep J.A.R.V.I.S with you to protect you."

"Why? Do you think someone will try to attack me in the next few days?" asked Tony realizing what Jack meant.

"You're really smart, yes, I think someone might try to attack you, but with J.A.R.V.I.S. wearing the armor next to you, it won't be such a big problem," Jack said.

"It's okay, I trust you, Jack, I'll be more careful in the next few days," Tony said.

"It's too bad I'm dating Pepper now, otherwise I'd take you clubbing here in Malibu to celebrate my recovery, now you'll have to go alone," Tony said jokingly.

"So you are dating Pepper Potts?" said Jack pretending to be surprised, he could imagine that this would happen, he just didn't know they were already dating.

But as in this timeline, it had been several years since the kidnapping, it was normal that they were already dating, after all, it was the fear of death that made Tony leave his playboy life and understand that he was in love with Pepper.

"Yes, I didn't reveal my relationship with her to the media because they might think the reason I made her the president of my company is that she's my girlfriend," Tony said not knowing that Jack knew about his life.

"Pepper was chosen as the president because she is so talented, I realized that before I realized that I like her, that's why she was my personal assistant for so many years," Tony said.

"Just as I expected the company has improved a lot since Pepper became president, and that's even with me saying that Stark Industries will no longer produce and sell weapons which were our biggest business," Tony said proudly.

"I believe Pepper is really talented, you would never leave her company and your father's legacy in her hands if she wasn't, now you have to figure out how to tell her you were poisoned," Jack said.

"Why do I need to tell her about this? I was just going to tell her because I thought I was going to die, now that I know I'm going to recover, I don't plan on telling her about it." Tony said.

"If you don't tell Pepper about the poisoning, I think you might end up breaking up in the future, after all, you've been a little crazy the last few years since you found out you might die," Jack said.

"When Pepper finds out about this in the future, she might be angry that you kept it from her, if possible I think you should even tell Pepper that you are Iron Man, after all, she already knows about the arc reactor you have in the chest," Jack said.

Tony started thinking about it seriously after hearing what Jack said, Pepper was definitely the person in the world he trusted the most, he just didn't tell Pepper that he was Iron Man because he didn't want to make her worried.

Tony also didn't say that he was poisoned to not worry Pepper, but listening to what Jack said he realized that he really had a bad personality in recent years, he just got better when he started dating Pepper and started to accept death.

Jack only said that because he knew that with the upcoming struggles that Earth was going to face and with the Avengers coming together, it would be very difficult for Tony to keep hiding that he was Iron Man and Pepper was sure to find out about it.

In the next few days, Jack stayed at Tony's house while he treated his poisoning, with more than 80% of his body poisoned, Tony couldn't even walk properly for a long time, so in the last few months, Tony didn't leave the house even though he knew he could die.

During that time Jack and Tony became more friends, when Tony wasn't trying to be arrogant he was someone very nice to talk to, but he was usually only friends with people he thought were geniuses or who earned his respect.

Tony thought Jack was a genius for finding out about palladium in the arc reactor and respected him for being a hero and for saving his life, so they soon became great friends.

"Well done Tony, now your body poison is at 77%, you can leave the house now if you want and soon you will get better and better." Said Jack happy to see Tony recovering.

"Thanks, Jack, I really want to get out of the house, with my personality being stuck at home for several months was worse than death for me," Tony said laughing.

"Remember what I said, you can't go to public events until we find a new way for you to change your body's reactor, when you're below 50% poison we can start working on a solution," Jack said.

"I trust you, Jack, I'm curious how we're going to find something to replace palladium," Tony said really curious.

"I thought about what you said, Jack, I'm going to call Pepper home today to tell her that I'm poisoned and also that I'm Iron Man, I trust her and now that I know I'm not going to die, I hope that she might understand why I hid it all," Tony said.

"Okay Tony, I'm glad you decided to do this, I'm leaving today to give you privacy." Said Jack laughing and creating a portal to leave Tony's house.

Even though he lived in Tony's house, Jack still created a portal every day to his house in New York, so he could do physical training with the machine Ben gave him Jack also had to create new clones every day to study.
