"I don't know if I can trust you yet, but there's nothing I can do if you've already discovered my secret identity, I hope you'll keep this secret, I have many enemies and I don't want my aunt to be in danger".

"Sure! You can be sure that I will keep your secret, if you need any help facing an enemy, you can call me, I don't have any superpowers, but I have good strength and speed."

"Thanks, so the only reason you approached me was to say you knew my secret identity?" Peter said still suspicious.

"Yes, I really admire the work you've done protecting New York for all these years, like I said I also face bad guys, so I thought I could get close to you and maybe help you some time to face a villain."

Jack was calm when talking to Peter because he really never thought of harming him, Jack needed to stay close to Peter to gain more fate points and become stronger before major threats appeared on Earth.

Jack knew that just helping Spider-Man against a few villains would earn him thousands of fate points, he just had to be careful not to end up dying before he got stronger.

"I wanted to ask you, Peter, have you met any other superheroes in New York?" Jack asked curiously.

"Yes, I already met the members in the Fantastic Four, I also ended up meeting the Punisher, but I'm not sure if the Punisher can be considered a superhero."

"Did you meet the Hulk?" Jack asked curiously.

"No, but I saw the news about him, I don't think that green monster that caused so much destruction can be called a hero," Peter said.

Jack was worried to hear that, as the avengers didn't exist yet and the Hulk was still unknown, it meant that this universe was closer to the movies than the HQs he knew.

Perhaps, in addition to the difference in the timeline in which the heroes appeared, only the presence of the Fantastic Four, the X-men, and other heroes and villains were taken from the comics, which made Jack more relaxed.

Jack talked a little longer with Peter and soon they broke up after Peter trusted Jack more, after all, as Peter said, he couldn't do anything since Jack had discovered his secret identity.

Jack returned home excited to see that his Fate Points had increased, he earned 10,000 Fate Points just for revealing to Peter Parker that he knew he was Spider-Man.

In the last few weeks, Jack had gotten a little over 10,000 points of fate facing dozens of thugs, but a conversation with Spider-Man was equal to that fight time.

Jack passed his phone number and he took Peter's phone, so Peter said he would call him when he went on patrol, after all, Peter didn't trust that Jack really faced bandits as he said.

After a few days, Peter called Jack to go with him to patrol, Jack was wearing his mask and the clothes he still wore with the bulletproof vest, so Peter believed more in what Jack said.

Soon Jack heard through his bracelet that some bandits were robbing a store and told Peter, Peter was surprised to see that Jack wore a watch to listen to the police radio, after all, Jack's bracelet looked like a watch to other people.

Soon Jack was running to the place of the robbery while Spider-Man was faster using the webs and jumping through the buildings, Peter saw the robbery happening and went to face the bandits.

This time Peter just brought the thugs away from the people and held back waiting for Jack to arrive, Jack soon appeared and used his martial skills to defeat 2 thugs while Spider-Man defeated 2 other thugs.

Peter noticed that Jack seemed to have good martial skills and seemed faster and stronger than ordinary people, this made him more confident that Jack was telling the truth.

While Peter trusted Jack more, Jack was more excited seeing that he had gained a thousand fate points just by defeating 2 bandits, this showed that his decision to come to New York and find Spider-Man was the right decision.

Over the next few hours, Jack used his bracelet to tell Spider-Man where the bad guys were attacking while he went to the nearest locations himself.

Peter was happy to see that his work was more efficient with Jack's help, and Jack was happy to see that he gained fate points even when it was Spider-Man who defeated the bad guys.

Jack knew that by fighting the bad guys near Spider-Man he would soon get enough fate points to buy more powers and abilities.

After a while, Jack and Peter finished the patrol, and the police were happy to see that that night Spider-Man seemed to have faced more bandits which made their job easier.

Jack returned home happy to see that in one day of patrol, he had achieved 5000 points, it was a pity that Spider-Man did not have that much time to patrol every day.

If this continued as this Jack would only need 3 months to get 500,000 fate points, and in 1 year he could buy another good skill or another superpower.

So time passed and after a few weeks Spider-Man trusted Jack completely, and Jack continued to earn a lot of fate points.

After working a few weeks with Spider-Man, Jack also became known to the NYPD and the people of the city.

But Jack hadn't been given any superhero names, but people seemed to know that he looked more like a vigilante wearing a generic mask and an ordinary outfit to fight crime.

Only the thugs who had been arrested because of Jack knew that he was not an ordinary vigilante, some of them had multiple broken bones and knew of the great strength and speed that Jack had.

Jack was happy about that, he didn't want to get a weird superhero name before gaining more powers with fate points, so he just wore a generic mask to hide his face.
