Jack returned home after doing some shopping with Anna and making a reservation at a beauty salon for the day before the wedding. Jack didn't realize how difficult it was to prepare for a wedding, and he wished he had warned Anna earlier.

Fortunately, Jack had a superhuman body and mind, and he didn't get tired even after keeping Anna company all day. He even took her out to dinner before dropping her off at her apartment.

Anna almost asked Jack to stay over for the night, but she decided to wait until after the wedding since there were only two days left. That way, it would be a good day for her to have her first time.

Soon the wedding day arrived, and Jack went to the church early dressed in the suit Gwen had chosen for him. The suit fit Jack very well and showed off some of his muscles, which made Anna happy to see.

Anna looked beautiful as well, especially after spending hours doing her makeup and hair and wearing a new dress. Anna even asked Jack to perform a spell to isolate her skin so she could do her makeup and hair without fear of hurting anyone.

Jack thought it was the first time someone used magic to do makeup and hair, but he knew that Anna's powers were special, and she needed this care. That's why Anna was so happy because only mutants could do her hair, and they were very careful not to touch her.

Even with the magic, Anna asked people to wear gloves before touching her. Maybe people thought Anna was disgusted by being touched, but it was better than killing someone, and Jack paid well so that no one could complain.

Jack also spoke with Peter, who was excited and anxious about the wedding. He gave everyone in the lab two days off so they could come to Peter's wedding without worrying about work.

"Peter, you seem very nervous, you don't have to worry, Gwen almost had to force you to propose to her, so don't worry, she won't say no and she won't leave you waiting at the altar," Jack joked.

"I know that, but I can't calm down, I've been waiting for this for so many years and I'm going to marry the woman I love, you'll understand that one day when you get married," said Peter.

"Yeah, you should thank me for getting married, if I had waited for you to tell Gwen your secret until you got married, I would have gotten married before you," Jack joked.

But it was true that he was the main reason Peter was able to marry Gwen. Jack couldn't remember many universes where Peter and Gwen ended up together in the end, even in the Spider-Verse where it was possible, Gwen started to like Miles Morales.

"I finally met your girlfriend, she seems cool, and she seems to like you too," said Peter.

"I like her too, at first I started dating her because she's really beautiful, but over time I got to know her and started to really like her, and she knows that I'm the Battle Sage, so there aren't many secrets between us," Jack laughed.

"That's good, I'm glad to see you relaxing a bit, when we met you were more eager to fight against the criminals than I was, you never rested for years, and only after the battle of New York did you decide to take a break," Peter remembered.

"Yes, I think I wanted something to do, unlike you, I don't have a family anymore, so if I stopped fighting, I had nothing to do, but now I have Anna and many friends like you," said Jack.

All the heroes knew that Jack no longer fought against the New York criminals. Ordinary people thought he decided to stop doing it so as not to scare them because they knew the power he had.

The heroes thought he had stopped because he spent 18 months fighting non-stop in the Negative Zone and was now resting. Only Jack knew that he fought a lot in the past because of the FP, and now that he had a lot, there was no reason to fight anymore.

Now Jack would only take care of important villains and would help heroes to solve some problems that could be complicated, just like he was waiting for the Mandarin to appear to end the plot of the third Iron Man movie before it began.

"Gwen told me that you talked to her a few days ago, she was worried before that you didn't like her, after all, you seemed to avoid her, even that day when you saved Gwen, you didn't go to visit her," said Peter.

"So Gwen and I are happy that you don't seem to have any problems with her, after all, you're my best friend," said Peter.

Jack didn't know what to say to Peter. He didn't visit Gwen after the Green Goblin's kidnapping because he told Peter that he had put cameras outside Gwen's house. Peter was annoyed and jealous, and if Jack showed up there, their friendship might end.

And Jack really avoided Gwen until Peter proposed to her. After all, he saw that in the comics, Peter's girlfriends had a terrible habit of trying to date his friends to make Peter jealous.

So when Peter was dating Betty, Jack avoided talking to Gwen or Mary Jane as much as possible, after all, he didn't know which one Peter would choose. Only after Peter proposed to Gwen did Jack stop avoiding her. After all, even though this universe was different from the comics, he didn't want any problems.

Soon it was time for the wedding. The church was beautiful and had enough space for 200 guests. Peter invited several friends from high school and college, and people from the lab, while Gwen had many more friends than Peter.

Everything was prepared and Jack entered the church and saw Anna sitting in the front seat. Jack smiled at her and also greeted the people from his lab who were tense seeing their boss enter.

Jack went to his place and then the bride's maid entered and went to the other side of the altar. Soon Peter entered and went to the groom's place at the altar and looked towards the entrance. Jack laughed and put his hand on Peter's shoulder to ask him to calm down.
