First March 3

"Haha!" Heinrich laughed, "So much for daemon incident. Look at these daemon. They're so weak."

"So says the guy who's killed just three." Owen replied. "I've killed seven."

"And? Still took one hit, didn't it."

"So did I! But I'm not being a douche about it."

"You're jus insecure, that's all."

"Goodness, I leave you guys for a few minutes and you're already at each others throats." Miles said, as he sat down on a nearby car, "Jhin really has it this hard, huh?"

"Where the hell have you been?" Owen asked.

"Around, obviously." Miles replied, tossing a device to Owen.

"Hey! A little warning next time."

"That's a beacon." Miles explained, "Sends out wavelengths of licht energy around the area. Daemon like it and will come running."

"Gets the work done faster." Heinrich smiled.

"We'll be swarmed."

"Oh that's okay personally." Miles said, "I don't mind. The bad news is, whites love it more."

"You're kidding, right?"

"No."

"So we're bait." Heinrich said

"All inquisitors are bait, what did you think?"

"No one told us of this. First time hearing it."

"They told all leaders of groups, Miles said, "Alek and Agatha's group have set up theirs. You two set up yours there,"

" 'You two' what about you?"

"Don't tell me you can't handle daemon." Miles said as he jumped off the car, "I know I can."

Uumanaq, Greenland

"Beacons set, Sharon." Dimitri said.

"Good," Sharon replied, all we have to do now is wait. Got some fries, Dymond."

"No. I am not given you mine."

"Hey come on, I apologize for taken yours back on the plane."

"An apology is not going to replace the lost fries."

"Cigar?" Sharon said, handing him one.

"Hell naw!" Dymond said, "Would rather freeze to death."

"Suit yourself." Sharon said. "Yo, Dimitri! You got in touch with Ernst?"

"Yes."

"What did he say?"

"Screw you."

"Honestly, is there anyone who likes me in this place?"

"No." Dimitri and Dymond said. "Not one bit."

"Mmmm. Least I have the best of friends though."

"Sharon, most of your friends are either former mercenaries, sadists or sociopaths." Dymond said

"I get along with them well."

"That's the problem."

"Hey, I don't argue with your choice of friends, do I?"

"Because, as compared to yours, they are relatively normal."

" 'Relatively' huh? I think they are weird, guys who have nothing to talk about but anime and games and stuff."

"Thought you liked anime?"

"I do. But it ain't my life, its something I use to pass the time," Sharon said as she stood up.

"You're missing out a lot."

"Get down." Sharon said,

"Huh?"

"Get down." Sharon said again. Dymond obeyed immediately, just in time to dodge the vestorer that was aimed for his head.

"You owe me some fries, Dymond," Sharon said with a smile.

Belgrade, Serbia

From the moment they had got on the helicopter to the moment they arrived on Belgrade, Martha had not spoken a word. She looked outside the window, her mind elsewhere, ignoring the constant chatter of Kyler, and Kanon, the two who happened to sit beside her.

Even now, as she effortlessly ripped the daemon in half, she did not utter a word.

"Ahh!" Kanon exclaimed, "Nothing like a little daemon to warm up. Don't you agree, Jhin?"

"No, not really." Jhin said. "Personally a good book would do."

"Does anyone not agree with me."

"No, you're alone." Kai said. Kai was the aide of both Kael and Kaien. Giving that Kael had trust issues, Kai was chosen, being the cousin.

"Yeah." Kyler said.

"Excuse me, but I have something to say," Valerie said, fixing her glasses. She was the aide of Donna, the harsh and strict Valerie Jimenez, also acting as Donna's personal assistant in her other jobs.

"I'm concerned about Martha. She is quite slow and sluggish as compared to prior missions. She could impede our coordination during this mission."

"I agree." Kai said.

"C'mon, lay off the girls back." Kanon said, "She's been through a lot lately, she already lost some friends."

"Doesn't matter. Comes with the job." Kai said, "I don't want to die, and I think everyone has the same thinking train as I do."

"I don't," Kyler said.

Kai groaned. "Excluding Kyler, we have a mission to fulfill, and she's got to get her act together."

Kyler sighed. Who could blame Valerie and Kai. He agreed with them. But it wasn't just the recent deaths that had gotten to her. That would have in fact, fired her up.

The White City. Belgrade. It was an incident before the 2nd Daemon Incident. A strong daemon signal had been picked up in this very city, and the inquisition was dispatched. However, at that time, there wasn't just one of such signals but several. Hence they only sent one man. A member and head of the Dark family. Luther Dark.

After that, most don't know what happened. All what was reported was that Luther Dark had committed mass genocide in Belgrade. He had traded the lives of many with his own in order to save his own skin. It was debated on for several months, with the only family supporting Luther being the Alderwolf family. To make matters worse, the secret technique of the family, Necromancy was revealed to the public. And Luther nether denied nor accepted that he had the technique.

With that as the basis, Luther was trialed and executed, and there was nothing the Alderwolf family or the Inquisition could say to stop the UN as well as the say of the other families. To make matters worse, in order to prevent the rise of the Dark family, and to keep a close eye on them, Martha and her brother, Luke were treated as his accomplices in an act they knew nothing off and were sentenced to life long service; Martha in the Inquisition, Luke in the Shield.

Luke never made it, however. Either it was the Shield or angry relatives of the deceased. But Luke never made it to the Shield base. The vehicle transporting him was attacked and blown up. Martha was the only member of the Dark family now.

And here she was, the very thing that had ruined her family was nothing but a hoax, a lie painted to lie to public that the entire city was a daemon, so that the Shield could continue to experiment on it.

First the half-breed incident, now this. This felt beyond the Shield. Way beyond it. Kyler sighed.

"Oi, losers." Diego said, "Lets move."

"Losers? Us?" Kanon cried, "We can literally beat your ass."

"Ha!" Diego laughed, "Before you try that, come and take a look at this."

All the aides came to his side.

"Welcome to the White City." Donna said, "This could be our grave so soak it all in."
