Party

From the time we had spent together, I got to know that Emily comes from a middle-class family. She had a brother who left her family a few years ago and her family doesn't know anything about him.

She is a scholarship student who is extremely talented. She knows me and is my big fan but she doesn't want me to be uncomfortable around her so she is behaving normally.

She is scared of Liam because everyone knows he can be a little umm, violent whenever someone messes with me.

Liam looked at Emily and then at me. He smiled at me and I glared at him.

He raised an eyebrow.

"Liam, I AM going to the party," I said, stressing at the words I am.

He smirked and looked at Emily, "Do you have her number?"

Emily, who was frozen till now came back to reality and nodded hurriedly.

Liam smiled, "Good, call her later?"

Emily understood the meaning and muttered a quick 'bye' and she scurried away.

"Liam." I whined and he winked.

"I told you to meet me here and she was wasting my time" I huffed at his boldness.

"She is the first girl who approached me to genuinely become my friend not to be close to you."

He shrugged, "What? Is it my fault that I am sexy?"

I scoffed, "Sexy. More like an a**hole."

His eyes bored into my face. The intense gaze made me feel like he was scanning me from head to toe. I felt naked. "Am I not sexy?"

My breath hitched as I stared at him.

Totally unfair. How dare he use his wicked charms on me! How can I answer that?

"Answer me, Amelia," He said, he was so close to me, I could feel his lips on mine.

Why, God. WHY?

"I-I." I don't know what to say. Can I say this?

My eyes went from left to right, averting his gaze. I tapped my foot rhythmically and bit my lips.

Suddenly my phone rang. Whew, saved by the phone.

Liam muttered, cursing while I breathed a sigh of relief and looked at the id.

My eyes widened.

Liam noticed that and asked, "Who is it?"

I looked at him, my expression was what I was sure, serious.

"Dad."

I clicked the answer button and put it in the speaker, "Hey dad." I said casually.

"Hey princess," he said and I knew he was smiling.

"How was your school? did you eat anything? Did some boy try to flirt wit-" he was cut off by my dear brother.

"Did someone do anything to my sister? Who do I need to kill?" Igor's voice came. I chuckled.

"Why, hello to you too my brother. Nope, nobody tried to hurt me and no, you need not kill anyone." Igor -I was sure- grinned.

Dad snatched the phone from him, "So?"

I smiled, "School was good. Yes, I ate pasta and no nobody tried to flirt-"

This time my phone was snatched away, "No one can flirt with her." Liam said with anger in his voice.

Dad sighed in relief, "At least at this thing, I can rely on you, Liam. You better keep my princess safe or I will cut your balls off."

I choked on my saliva.

"Dad!" I shouted but it seemed like Liam had other plans, he smirked and switched off the speaker. He whispered something to dad and laughed loudly.

He cut the call and walked towards me.

"What did you say to him?" I asked. He winked at me mischievously.

"Get in the car."

We made our way towards our apartment. Yes, our apartment. The mansion was too far from the college so, for the time being, we bought an apartment and moved here.

After arriving at the apartment, Liam parked the car and we made our way inside the apartment. Our apartment was large and luxurious. Our white marbles and white chandeliers were perfectly matching with the Italian sofa and Pakistani Carpet.

The apartment had four bedrooms with five bathrooms, three balconies and a huge kitchen.

It was a little too big for us but I loved it. The whole apartment was designed by the best designer in the city.

"So, are you going to the party?" I asked Liam.

Liam shut his laptop and rested on the bed.

"I wanted to talk to you about something, remember?" Liam said and I was painfully reminded of the scene that happened in the hall.

"Uh, yeah?" He leaned towards me and said, "I was asking to go to that party only."

My eyes widened, "Really?!?"

He nodded and I jumped in joy. "Let me call Emily."

I dialled Emily's number and she picked it up after a few rings.

"Hey, Amelia!"

"Let's party!!!" I yelled and she laughed.
