MEETING GRANDPA

"Firstly starting with… I am Jessica as you know and I came back due to some tasks. Frankly, I don't wish to marry you. I just agreed so I could escape without anyone noticing." Jessica confessed.

"Why you don't want to marry me?" Steve asked.

"I believe that a marriage will only work if the people have mutual understandings, respect, and love towards each other. and we had hardly met so… I don't think it's a good idea to get married.

Steve looked at Jessica and said, " I… I will respect you after we get….."

"I don't have any intention to marry you, Mr. Smith." Jessica interrupted Steve. Steve let out a chuckle and said, "But I have the intention to marry you, Jessica."

*Splash*

Jessica was now not able to suppress her anger and she took the glass of water on the table between them and splashed it entirely on Steve's face. Steve was dumbfounded. He slowly took out his handkerchief and dried his face and hair which were dripping water now.

As Jessica was about to walk out of the room the man behind her spoke out, "In return, I could give you the evidence of your mom's dead…" Hearing his words Jessica turned and sat down on the sofa again.

"How do you know about my mother."

"I have known for a long time. If you marry me I will help you punish your mom's murderers and even get you the company your mom established. What do you think?" Steve said waiting for Jessica's reply.

"Okay but I have some conditions. Do you agree?" Jessica asked.

"sure. I also have some things I want to discuss," replied Steve with an evil smirk on his face.

"I want you to treat me with respect. I want you to trust me no matter what and give me the evidence. In return, I will be your most suitable and loving wife." Jessica said. Steve gave her a gorgeous smile and said, "I will treat you fairly and trust you. In addition to this, I want you to treat my family like yours. Deal?" He stretched out his hand. Jessica shook his hand, "deal! But… I want to ask you about one thing. Can we have some more time for the wedding I want to establish my name in this country?"

Steve happily agreed as he saw the sincerity of Jessica to be a good wife. He offered to help but Jessica refused.

They walked out of the room and took Steve's Buggati Venom and headed to the old man's house. Jessica planned to introduce her grandfather to Steve and also to talk about her mom's death. She was sure that her grandfather was hiding something from her regarding this issue.

The Han Family Mansion

A Blue Buggati Venom entered the magnificent western-style Mansion in the countryside. Stopping in front of the entrance of the villa two people emerged from inside, walking elegantly inside the mansion. This mansion belonged to the Old Master Han.

Jessica and Steve walked in and were greeted by the butler, "Good day miss. Old Master is in the garden with Miss Amy." Jessica nodded and went to the garden closely followed by Steve. As they went far, the butler saw their back with a happy smile on his face thinking 'Now the young miss has got what she deserved. Old Master would be so happy to see her back. And he would be happier to meet this young man.'

In the garden, grandfather was sitting facing his back to the gate with Amy sitting opposite to him. Amy's eyes were red and swollen as she tried to control her tears. Her head was bowed so she did not see the two people coming their way.

"Grandpa!" Jessica said as she stood beside the chair of her grandfather, Steve standing next to her. The two of them looked up and could not help be surprised not because Jessica was back but due to the man she has returned with. The man was tall, handsome, and looked, even more, dashing in his navy blue business attire.

"Let me introduce myself, I am Steve Smith CEO of Kayano company," Steve said as he stretched out his hand. His deep voice bought the two people back to reality. The old man got up and shake his hand with Steve. He could not help admire the aura and features of the man in front of him. "I am Jessica's grandfather, the old master of the Han family. It's a pleasure meeting you Mr.Smith. May I ask why are you here today?"

Before Steve could reply Amy got up and said "Jessica! Why are you still here? Are you not going back? Are you Mr. Smith who was going to meet Jessica today? If you are then let me tell you Jessica is not interested in you." Amy could not help but ask. The three people stared at Amy in surprise while Steve's face turned dark.

After a long silence, Jessica spoke up wrapping her arms around Steve's arms, "yeah he is actually that person. And I have agreed to marry him. I….."

Amy stepped forward and dragged Jessica away from Steve, who watched her with amazement as she spoke, "Why? Did this bad person blackmail you? Tell me I will have him skinned alive?" Jessica felt somewhat dizzy after all the shaking done by Amy and over it, she had eaten nothing from the morning.

"You go inside with this girl. I will talk to grandpa on both our behalf." Steve said as he pulled Jessica away from Amy thinking Amy would hurt Jessica. Jessica nodded and pulled Amy into the mansion. Steve stared at both of them until they disappeared from his sight.

Turning around he saw the old man with a cold expression. The old man guesteredSteve to sit down and Steve sat down. Their expression was like that of generals when they are off to war. "What do want from my granddaughter?" Old Master asked.

"I just want to marry her." That was the reply he got.

"Why?"

"My family wants me that's why. And she has already agreed with it." Steve said.

"But I don't agree." The Old Master said with a stern expression. Steve sighed and said "Grandpa, please I am willingly marrying her. Yeah, a part of it is because of my family." "Huh!? Then how could you guaranty my precious's happiness? Let me tell you if….. if you bring any tear in her eyes I will skin you alive" The old man said as he got up and turned to go inside the house.

"I promise….. I promise to keep your precious smile and never let her cry.." Steve said with a determined expression and stood up. the Old Master turned to face him and nodded in agreement.

"GRANDPA! STEVE!" Jessica shouted as she walked towards them Amy following behind with an apologetic look on her face. "You need to keep your promise or….." The old man said with a small smile on his face as he stared towards Jessica.

"I am sorry Mr. Smith…." Amy said as she was truly embarrassed. "Call him brother-in-law." The old man said in his joyous voice. Jessica who was standing next to Steve could not help but bow her head and stare at the ground. "You have my blessings. And when do you plan on having the wedding?"

Steve held her hand and said, "very soon, grandpa."

"Oh my God! this much sweetness" the Old Master laughed as he saw the red face of Jessica and the red ears of Steve who was still holding hands as if they were glued together.

'They both suit each other. I hope you are satisfied with this decision. Zaria, your daughter is finally happy. I hope you are also well.' The Old Master thought while staring at the stary sky.
