Chapter 2 *The Ones Who are Heroes*

(Shows the back of a man standing on top of a roof, his arms behind his back, in a black suit with dress shoes and a red tie, he has black hair with streaks of red in them. Also the back of another man crouched down at the edge of the building staring at the city, he's shirtless with jeans and boots, with spiked up messy red and black hair. There faces are turned away)

The one in the suit: "This city reeks off pride. This whole planet does. I'll fix it, I'll fix it all, people thinking just because they were blessed with great power, they think they're better than everyone else. No, they'll learn, they'll see."

(He then walks away, and so does the other man.)

(Reo and Selene are walking to the police station.)

Selene: "How far is the police station, I feel like I've been walking for hours."

Reo: "It's been 5 minutes, if I could use my powers we'd be there a lot faster, but I have you with me. What are your powers anyway."

Selene: "Wind and lighting, I saw you use your electricity at the bank, is that all you have."

Reo: "Yeah That's all, most people are born with one power, they just have to use it different ways."

Selene: "That sounds terrible. I have thought of all these combos with my two powers, just gotta wait til I find a villain so I can use them."

Reo: "You little brat, what about the villain at the bank. Instead you brought him to a bunch of people, and then I had to deal with him."

Selene: "Listen I got nervous, it was my first villain. Cut me some slack."

Reo: "You're not gonna get any slack when you mess up and it kills people."

Selene: "Jeez I'm sorry."

Reo: "Whatever, we're here."

(Reo and Selene walk on the scene and see multiple cops and detectives looking around, there is also caution tape everywhere.)

Reo: "Detectives are here looking for clues. Go ask them if they have any leads.

Selene: "Why do I have to, why can't you."

Reo: "Because I hate people, and I hate you. So go."

Selene: "Fiiine."

(Selene walks up to the detective that looks in charge.)

Selene: "Uh, excuse me, c-can I, do y-you have any.. Uh."

The Detective: "What?"

(Selene turned around and walked back to Reo.)

Reo: "What the hell was that. I thought you were over all that shy stuff."

Selene: "I'm not over it, I get nervous around new people, and I stop being nervous around you because, I felt like you opened up to me a little back there, so we're kinda friends."

Reo: "You're so useless, and we're not friends I don't know you and I don't want to. I wanna find this guy, lock him up and get paid."

(Reo walked to the detective.)

Reo: "Sorry for her, she's slow. Did you have any leads on the station burning down last night?"

Detective: "Oh ok. Well so far we don't really know. We think it's Kaen, but Kaen had brown hair, This man had red hair, and black eyes. Then again we don't know where Kaen is, but he could have escaped in the commotion."

Reo: "Ok, well you have two heroes on it so..."

???: "No, it's three."

Reo: "Uhhhh, I know that voice. Hello Kyoko."

(A girl in a bright purple dress showed up. She had black hair with purple streaks in her hair.)

Kyoko: "Hello Reo. How are you, or it's not like I care or anything."

Reo: "Uhhhh you're annoying."

Kyoko: "Shut up, baka." *Baka means idiot in japanese. For all you bakas*.

Reo: "Whatever. Come on Selene, let's find this Kaen guy."

(Reo started to walk away and Selene followed.)

Kyoko: "Fine walk away Reo, I'm gonna find this Kaen guy first anyway, sooo good luck. You'll need it."

(Rui and Selene are patrolling the city, they tell people the description of Kaen on the street and ask if they've seen them, but nobody has.)

Selene: "Uhhhh, this is boring. When are we gonna find this guy?"

Reo: "I liked you better when you didn't know me."

Selene: "Hey! You're mean."

Reo: "Whatever, just shut up and look for this guy. This is starting to get annoying."

(Reo then hears a scream, he looks back at Selene and she looks at him. They both run in the direction they heard it, and it brings them to an alleyway. There is a man without a shirt and he's wearing jeans and boots. He has black and red messy spiky hair, and a mask chained around his mouth. He has his boot on top of a man who has scratches and bruises all over him.)

Reo: "Hey!"

(Reo yelled at the shirtless man. He looks up at him. Reo didn't notice till then that there's a purple glow around the man. He took his foot off the man on the ground and climbed up the side of the building really fast, and then he was gone.)

Reo: "You help the man. I'm gonna go after that guy."

Selene: "Ok"

(Reo used his electricity to run fast up the building. He got over and saw the shirtless man, jumping from building to building like it was nothing. Reo had to use a lot of electricity to keep up. The man looked behind him and saw Reo. He looked forward and proceeded to go faster, but it looked like the purple glow around him had gotten bigger. Reo had to use more electricity to go faster, right now he's using so much it's starting to hurt, but the man was still faster. Reo finally stopped, he was on top of a building catching his breath when he looked across the road. It looked like there was someone on the building across the street. Reo looked a little harder, and he realized there were two people, but one was kinda floating behind the other one. He couldn't see the one in front's face, but he could see the one in the back eyes, his dark red eyes. Reo blink and they were gone, he didn't know what to think so he started to head back.)

(Selene picks up the man on the ground. This man looked like he was in his 70's.)

Selene: "Are you alright? What's your name?"

Hugo: "Hugo Yoshi. I'm a scientist for a lab not too far from here. I was on my way there, and I felt a strong power near. I went to this alleyway and that man just attacked me."

Selene: "Oh, is that your power feeling power."

Hugo: "No, my power is.. Someone's here."

(He looks around)

Selene: "What, who?"

Hugo: "I don't know. Just a strong power is here, and it's getting closer, it's... here."

(Reo jumped down in front of them.)

Reo: "I lost him."

Hugo: "Y-you!"

Reo: "What?"

Hugo: "Your power, it's so much. What is your power?"

Reo: "Electricity, why?

Hugo: "Electricity? That is a lot of power for just electricity."

Reo: "Thank you?"

Hugo: "Hey can you come to my lab."

Reo: "No, I got things to do."

Hugo: "O-oh well. When you can, can you."

Reo: "I don't know. Maybe."

Hugo: "Ok, well whenever, I'd love to see more of your powers."

Reo: "Ok, whatever. Let's go Selene. We still have to look around for this villain."

Selene: "Oh yea, well nice talking to you...Hugo? Are you ok to go back?"

Hugo: "Yea, I should be fine, none of the wounds are deep."

(Reo and Selene go walk off to look for Kaen. Hugo waves goodbye and then he heads off.)

(A few hours later, the sun is about to set)

Reo: "Looks like we should start heading home,"

Selene: "Yea, I guess."

Reo: "And why weren't you acting shy around that old guy. You said when you were around new people, you were shy."

Selene: "I don't know. Guess I was too busy trying to see if he was alright. I got lost in the situation. I think I'm getting better at this stuff."

Reo: "Good, so tomorrow you can do it on your own."

Selene: "What? What do you mean?"

(They walked up in front of Reo's apartment building. Reo stops and looks at her.)

Reo: "Listen, I need my money. If we do this together, we split the money. Also to let you know, I still don't like you."

Selene: "O-oh."

Reo: "Yeah, well see ya."

(Reo then walked in his building and shut the door behind him. Selene stood there for a moment later, then dragged herself to her apartment building down the street. When she got to her apartment, there were people moving her stuff out of her room and into the trash. )

Selene: "W-what are you guys doing?"

Worker: "You're past rent. You're getting evicted."

Selene: "But I have my rent."

(She pulls 30,000 yen out of her pocket.)

Selene: "See!"

Worker: "That's not my job ma'am. I was told to move this stuff, and I don't think that will cover how far you're overdue."

(The Worker proceeded to move her couch downstairs and outside in the dumpster. Selene stands there in shock, she has no where else to go. She doesn't know anyone, but again she does know one.)

(Reo walks around his apartment room cleaning. He puts his sword in his closet, and his empty boxes of ramen in the trash. He's been meaning to do this, but he never really knew when. He thought about how he left things with Selene. He kinda felt bad for being harsh, but then he started to not care again. Not like he'd see her again. He then got a knock on his door. He opened it and it was Selene.)

Selene: "H-hey I kinda got evicted, because I didn't really keep up with my pay. So I was wondering can I stay here with you?"

(Reo looked at her for a minute with a blank stare.)

Reo: "Huh?"
