The Man:

No one is making a sound. No one is moving. Everyone is just staring at Flash and me. The two of us are looking at each other, his eyes staring into the lens of my sunglasses. Eventually though, Flash makes the first move.

Turning to the others, he starts to scream.

"Come on everyone. Let's get the hell out here."

"Hold on a sec there," Cold says, stepping forward. "I ain't leaving. Now, I don't know if you've forgotten or not, but let me remind you of something. Sunglasses here done a lot for you and your Insurgency buddies. So how about you--."

Before Cold can finish, Flash rushes toward him and pushes him. Cold falling back onto the table, he knocks over all the plates and cups, all of which shatter as they hit the floor. Kara also rushing forward, she grabs Barry's arms before he can do anything else.

"And let me remind you," he splats. "You are nothing more than a criminal. You. Reverse-Flash. Cheetah. None of you are worthy of joining us."

Cold pushes himself and walks right up to Flash, all the while Kara is holding Flash back.

"Oh so sorry I'm not 'worthy' of joining your club. Hey, I forget. What have you been doing for the last three months while all your old buddies take over the world uh? Just hiding and running away? At least as a regime, you did something."

Flash trying to break free, I rush away and pull Cold back while Kara holds onto Flash.

"Enough," I yell, shooting out my hands and stopping the two. "Enough. Both of you two knock it off."

"You can't tell me what to do," Flash states, finally breaking free of Kara's hold. Now, his focus is back on me.

"You cannot tell me what to do when you won't even tell me your damn name."

Pointing a finger at me, I grab his tiny finger in my hand. Bending it back a little, Flash tries swinging a punch but I catch his fist in mid-swing.

"There's a reason why I won't tell you my name," I whisper. "The less you know about me, the easier you will sleep."

Flash's eyes widening a little, I raise my foot and kick him back, knocking him into Kara.

"But hey," I say, now raising both my hands. "If you want to leave, then you are more than happy to. I'm not stopping you. The doc will lead you out. You, Hal, and anyone else that want to can."

"Come on everyone," Flash says. Flash bumping me aside as he passes, he stops when he notices no one behind him. "Well? Come on guys, let's go. Let's get the hell out of here. Away from you."

Pointing a finger at me again, I cross my arms this time.

"I'm not going anywhere with you," Cold says, also crossing his arms.

"I didn't ask you," Flash growls, his finger switching targets. "I'm asking my friends, and you are not my friend."

"Oh no," Cold says, stepping forward. "I'm not liked."

Slapping his finger aside, Flash growls once more before shooting up his hands and stomping away.

Supergirl:

"Doc," The Man says, turning his arms upside down and pointing at the exit. "Please guide Flash and whoever else out. Set up the portal so they'll all go back to Harleen' base in Gotham."

Dr. Crane nods his head before following Flash. Meanwhile, The Man turns his attention to the broken plates and cups. Grabbing a nearby trash can, he bends down to start to sweep the pieces before tossing them into the trash can.

"What now," Oliver asks, my focus returning to the others. "I mean, do we go with Barry or stay here with 'him'?"

"Well," Harleen starts, looking behind her at The Man and Leonard. "If we settle this to a vote, my vote is with The Man."

"Really," Selina asks.

"Yeah, I know it's weird and whatnot, but, I mean, come on. Were we really doing any better before? We were just hiding and coming up with plans on what to do. Sunglasses over there actually had plans on what to actually do."

"As much as I have enjoyed doing stuff," Oliver says, "I'm kind of more lending toward Barry."

"What," Dinah asks, lending back.

"I'm sorry, but everything Barry said is kind of true. I mean, I'm not saying I'm not thankful for everything that happened recently, but what kind of person sent you on suicide missions without even telling you his name."

"The same person that goes on the suicide missions with you," Dinah adds. "Listen, I know it's a real pain in the ass, but frankly, I don't care anymore about what the hell the guy's name is. All I care about is that finally, we are doing something."

"And that's another thing," Oliver says. "We each know why we're trying to take down Superman and his One Earth Government but why is he? What's all of this to him?"

"Does it matter?"

"Yes. I like to think it matters. Why join us instead of the man with endless resources and soldiers?"

"Maybe because he had a sense of right and wrong."

"Or maybe because there's something else he's right after."

As I listen to Oliver and Dinah talk, I turn back to The Man once again.

"Why are you not a part of this," I think. "Why aren't you trying to convince us to stay? Could Oliver be right? Is there something else you're after? Another reason for stopping Kal-El? And if there is, then what is it? There's so much we don't know about you."

A knocking and someone yelling grabs my attention. I turn around to see Barry standing in the doorway. He is holding Hal who is still looking at his ring, his green lantern ring that isn't glowing anymore.

"Come on," Barry says, guiding Hal away. "Let's get out of here before he changes his mind."

Dinah, Oliver, Selina, and Harleen all look at each other before slowly following after Barry and Hal.

"Aren't you going to say anything," I say, looking at the others as they leave. "Apparently, we're all leaving."

"No," The Man answers, pouring the last of the broken tableware into the trash. "No, I'm not."

"Why not? I thought you needed us to fight Superman."

"I do, but I'm not going to force anyone to join me."

"But you will kidnap," Leonard interrupts.

The two of us look at Leonard, he clears his throat before leaving.

"So that's it? After everything we've done, that's it?"

"I guess. I never was a people person. They hate me, I hate them, and after a few hours, we part ways. Oh well, too bad, so sad, time to go."

I don't know, but as The Man said those words, I begin to feel like I'm back at Stryker's Island, trapped in my cell. My limbs feel numb, my head is pounding, and I feel tears start to leak through. Before I leave with the others, I walk up to The Man.

I grab his shoulder and turn him around. As soon as he is facing me, I slap him across the face before turning and walking away.

"Like you said," I say before leaving the room. "Time to go."
