Her Last Breath

Chen Xun didn't know what to say, what to do, or even what to think. The partners she had on this trip were slaughtered right in front of her face. Even with the power to help, she had to be protected as the Crystal Ice Gorilla had nearly managed to flatten her in a horrific meat paste. 

Chen Xun felt utterly exhausted. No drive, no burning passion, no determination could be seen in her hallowed eyes. She looked to be nothing more than a broken puppet slumping on her strings. 

It was right at this moment, that Chen Xun suddenly twitched. She, for some reason, felt something strange growing on the back of her skin. 

But it was already too late. 

'Chi!' 

Blood spewed everywhere!

A magical sword appeared out of thin air, slicing through Chen Xun's chest and puncturing deep into one of her lungs. 

The blade then vibrated, unleashing a wave of Mana that suppressed the tiny bits of Mana within Chen Xun's body.
