Infamous Mage Controlling The World

So many of what other people values, none of that had ever mattered to me. What others find ethical, or right were just limitations in my eyes. My greatest ambition has and always will be to the one that can control the force of Magic itself! This was Ervin's fundamental truth in how he lives his life. Magical Societies, greater Mages, the Saints of the world are the leader of all generations, the figures that gives order and hope to everyone else. Their values and teaching have been preached down for countless years. To be Mage is to hold a duty to society, to strive for peace and leading the future to a better place. Ervin cared little about going down the set paths nearly all other Mage takes. Even as the most average talent in his hometown, his goal to control the force of Magic will never dwindle. And his plans began on the day of his Mage graduation.

Crushing The Team (1)

Ervin's search brought him considerably deep into the outer area.

Nearly half a half-an-hour passed.

The time waiting seemed dreadful, but Ervin did not lose his patience. That patience would soon be rewarded.

Taking another step forward, Ervin suddenly experienced a great tremor streak through the ground. His Magical Sense was nearly overloaded from a tremendous burst of powerful flows of Mana!

Ervin stayed still, focusing his Magical Senses on this one spot. He patiently waited for the raging currents of Mana to calm down.

Seconds later Ervin finally sensed what he needed.

Five severely crippled and drained life auras were all in one aura. None of them even had a fraction of what other patrol teams had in their life auras.

Ervin set his targets, surged his Complete Invisibility, and dashed out. He ran for several meters, eventually coming to a ruined area of the woods.

Numerous trees were violently smashed off their roots. Cracks spread along the ground with some spots having small craters where smoke was blowing out.

The most notable thing here was a massive gray gorilla demonic beast lying fast down in a pool of its own blood.

Numerous gashes, oozing out blood, displaying its rotting flesh were sprayed all across its corpse. The beast is terrifyingly tall, being at least over ten feet tall with bulking muscles that glisten with crimson veins.

This demonic beast when it was alive had the sheer power to break apart stone boulders in just slap of its massive palms.

The demonic beast was a bit surprising. But Ervin's attention focused on the haggard patrol team surrounding the corpse.

There were four Early Stage Novice Mage and one Adept Mage that Ervin couldn't sense the stage he was in.

All of them had blood drenching their entire Mage robes. Numerous large, horrific gashes oozing with the putrid scent of blood sprayed out all across their bodies.

All of them could barely breathe. Cold sweat mixed with their blood as they had to take a knee to stabilize the critical injuries suppressing their bodies.

This battered state was what Ervin desperately hoped for. He doesn't particularly enjoy or dislike the act of killing. But doing things to achieve his goals towards Magic does make a small smile curl onto his lips.

Ervin did not promptly rush in. He first took out a small, glowing bottle, fueled with a sliver of Mana, and flung it straight towards the battered patrol team.

The bottle landed mere meters before them. As it hit the ground, the others did pick up on the sound since it was faintly covered in Complete Invisibility Mana.

But right at the same moment, the small bottle suddenly glistened a blinding light that covered the entire area!

'Chi!'

A loud piercing noise drowned out everything as a blinding blue flash spread out for hundreds of meters.

"Ahh!!"

The Mages' voices were muffled by the loud explosion coming from the bottle.

At that moment, everyone on the team had their vision completely blinded, their senses disorienting from the bright light and ear-piercing loud bangs.

Their Magical Senses were completely disrupted, thrown into utter chaos.

Ervin saw the perfect opportunity to strike. He surged Complete Invislbitly then took a step forward to blast straight towards the confused patrol team.

His magical sword faintly shimmered, piercing straight towards one of the Novice Mage's chests. Without any defenses and completely blind, the magical sword could not be stopped.

Blood wildly splattered out. The magical sword slashed straight into the Mage's, rivers of blood spewing as the blade punctured the Mage's lung.

"A-" The Mage was overwhelmed with immense anguish. But before he had the chance to scream, Ervin's magical sword faintly trembled.

Flows of Mana spewed out from the blade, unleashing an throughout the Mage's body that brutally shattered numerous bones in his body!

Ervin pulled the magical sword out with a clean of trail blood flying out.

The Novice Mage fell back to the ground, his eyes still showcasing life, but his expression twisted in utter agony.

He could no longer operate his Mana or even twitch a finger. Whatever this invading force was caused an unbreakable suppression on his body!

The whole process only took three seconds.

Ervin didn't look back when one was day. His magical sword instantly slashed toward his next unaware target.

Because they were in a flashbang, nobody could see or hear on the account of ears ringing. And the Magical Sense was far too disturbed to even detect the falling life aura right beside them.

Additionally, because Ervin was in his Complete Invisibility state, it was impossible for anyone to hear his movement or even have the slightest of chance of his detecting his magical aura.

The magical sword slashed at speeds to take all lives in its path.

'Chi!'

Blood continually splashed all across the land.

Ervin moved at swift speeds through the use of his Physical Mage Arts. It was the most common of arts, but Ervin had long since seen mastery of the small success stage during the time of his graduation.

The peak limit of physical prowess can allow his bare hands to shatter small stones into pieces!

There was no chance the Novice Mages could resist. Each of them had their lungs brutally punctured with waves of Mana flowing through their bodies, completely suppressing them.

They all flopped to the grounds, like puppets who had been cut from their strings. It took merely four seconds to take down the last remaining Novice Mages.

Just when the flash was beginning to clear away, Ervin rushed straight toward the Adept Mage!

The Adept Mage was on the cusps of coming back to reality with the flashbang. His disoriented magical sense couldn't properly detect anything was wrong at all.

However, in a fraction of a second, his brows suddenly tighten, and he feels this strange sensation creep up his spine.

That sensation came all too late.

Ervin's magical sword gleamed with a cold light as it mercilessly slashed into the Adept Mage's chest!

'Ch!'

"Ah!"

Blood spewed with the roars of the Adept Mage's anguished shriek.

He could painfully feel the hell of having one of his lungs punctuated by this sudden blade.

Furthermore, a wave of Mana recklessly invaded his body, exuding a force that continually destroyed his bones and rapidly wasted away his Mana reserves.

The other Novice was helpless at Ervin's hands. But the Adept Mage wasn't instantly suppressed. The higher force of Adept Magical Energy managed to force straight through Ervin's Middle Stage Novice Magical energy.

The invading force was stopped, and the Adept Mage forcefully jumped back, tearing his body off from Ervin's magical sword.

Even more anguish wracked his body. But the Adept Mage violently gnashed his teeth to the point they shattered. He strained every ounce of his mind to mobilize his Mana, causing a tremendous headache to spread his mind.

A trail of blood spewed out of his nose. But in exchange for nearly shattering his mind, an azure light glistened on the Adept Mage's palm.

The glistening azure light radiated a windy field of airwaves that slashed through the dir. The power of Wind Mana condensed around the Adept Mage's palm.

He forcefully punched out, blasting out a violent stream of airwave to tear apart everything in its path.

'Shit!' Ervin surged his Mana in an attempt to dodge. A single leap to his right brought him over three meters.

He managed to dodge most of the airwave, but because of the chaotic nature of Wind Mana, the airwave field of destruction still managed to wash over Ervin.

Nothing about the airwave could touch Ervin in this state. However, while he remained untouched, Ervin sensed his Mana reserves draining away at an insane pace!

Ervin truly has the ability to phase through anything. But when it's concerning a force that is also filled with Mana, Complete Invislbitly couldn't simply phase through the higher Mana power.

Ervin needs to continually fuel his state with Mana to perfectly phase through an enemy's Mana force. And when he's all out, there would be no Mana for Ervin to use, meaning his death is all but assured.
