Inayah didn't bother with them and kept eating her food silently. Her phone vibrated again and she took it out and stood up. ''Ladies, I'm full. See you later Samantha.''
Samantha nodded her head and watched her leave.
Her gaze followed Inayah all the way until she left the cafeteria.
''Who the hell does she think she is?''
Samantha's lips turned into an annoyed arc as she muttered. ''This is so annoying.''
Inayah walked around the school and went to stand under a big tree.
After checking to make sure there was no student close by, she brought out her phone and opened the message that the unknown number had sent to her.
''Don't you think we need to talk? After what you did to me?''
Inayah bit her lips nervously and another message popped in. ''I could sue you for what you did. I guess you don't really care about your house after all?'
''What is his problem?'' Inayah muttered and tried to put the number on blacklist and a call came in this time.
Inayah clenched her fists tightly as she answered the call, ''he…hello''
''7pm tonight if you still want your house.'' A deep raspy voice said over the phone before hanging up.
''Obnoxious!'' Inayah muttered as she looked at the phone. She turned to go and saw Noah standing at a distance. ''Noah?''
''What are you doing there, Inayah?'' Noah asked and walked closer to her.
''Nothing!'' Inayah put the phone in her pocket, ''I just came here to get some fresh air.''
''Let's go. The teacher is already inside.''
''Oh!'' Inayah walked away and Noah looked at her and smirked.
...
After school...
Inayah stared at the mansion and murmured to herself. ''I must really be crazy; coming here alone. He is not going to let them arrest me, right?"
"Oh my god!!! What if he kills me? Nobody will ever know about it. I didn't even goodbye Aunt or Clara. I didn't even see Mrs. Hanna today."
" Even the annoying Bertha and Sandra, I guess they would really be happy if I disappeared. Now that I think about it, I really have a lot of people that don't love me.''
Inayah paced back and forth as the thought of what might happen to her occupied her mind.
Her phone buzzed and she quickly looked at it and read the message from the unknown number.
''What are you standing out there for? The door is open, come in!''
Inayah closed her eyes and took in a couple of deep breaths before she pushed open the metallic gate and went inside the mansion. This was her first time of going inside the yard of the mansion.
Her lips moved up uncomfortably as she took in the design of the mansion before getting to the main door.
Her hands held her uniform skirt tightly as she stood at the door. She was about to knock when it opened from the inside and the butler came out to meet her.
''Miss Ibrahim, this way please.'' Butler James said and led her inside but they didn't pass by the hall.
He took her through a narrow path that led them to the back of the mansion which was a garden.
The garden was nothing like she had seen before. It was beautiful and had almost every plant she could think off.
The flowers had bloomed and their petals were bright and beautiful.
''Am I in heaven? This place actually exists and is inside here?'' Inayah blurted out as she turned about, looking at the flowers until she crashed into someone and almost fell but the person was fast enough to hold her.
''I'm sorr…'' Inayah swallowed back her words the moment she saw the masked man holding her.
She seemed to have frozen as she met with the man's deep gaze. The tattoo hidden under her uniform shirt burnt her at that moment and she screamed and stepped away.
''Ahh..'' Inayah touched her shoulder and heard the man saying.
''If you think acting can get you out of here; then you must try harder because you totally suck at it.''
Inayah glared at him and asked, ''you think this is acting? Can't you see that I'm in pain? Well, because you are a demon you can't feel pain.''
When she said that, Jasper's gaze shifted to her shoulder and he saw the brick red mark that had shaped out. ''You. What is that?'' Jasper asked and stepped closer to her but she moved backwards as she felt an intense pain coming from her shoulder.
''Stop, don't come closer to me. I think because you're close is acting up.'' Inayah couldn't think of any other reason why she was suddenly feeling such pain on her shoulder.
''I asked what that is?'' Jasper said the tattoo shining through her white uniform shirt.
''I don't know, okay? Even I want to know what it is and why is it on my shoulder. I woke up and saw that it was on me. This damn tattoo won't even go away.''
''What name is it?'' Jasper didn't go closer again when he saw that she was really in pain.
''That is not what's important. I almost forgot why I am here. You told me you would give my house back to me if I came myself. Here I am. Can I have my keys?'' Inayah stretched forth her hand at him.
''You don't seem to be afraid of me.'' Jasper looked at her with an interesting gaze.
''Do I have to be afraid?'' Inayah asked back, ignoring the fact that her legs were turning jelly. She was afraid of him, but she didn't want to show it.
Jasper chuckled and stepped closer to her and she moved back.
''You are already wearing a mask. Why should I be afraid of someone who is not confident enough to show the world his face?"
Inayah asked. She didn't even know where that courage came frim but she wasn't so afraid of him.
"A lot of people don't even how you look like. Isn't it that sad? People talk about how ruthless and devilishly handsome you are but, all I see is a masked man. I wonder if the media is blind. Calling a masked man handsome. What total deception!''
Jasper swiftly wrapped his arm around her tiny waist and pulled her closer to him. His other hand removed the mask from his face and when Inayah saw him she gasped.
''Wow, you are so beautiful...'' She said subconsciously and pursed her lips when she realised the position she was.
He had pulled her closer to his body and had maintained eye contact with her all that while.
