Origins: Chapter 1

Thundering sounds plagued the surrounding planes, everything trembled in the might of such display of power. It shook the heavens, hells and the Sphere of Gods itself.

But what could cause such a thing?

A battle, not just any battle no, a battle that would restructure the hierarchy of the Gods.

The current chaos was a product of betrayal, the other Gods had banded together to usurp the ruler of all existence.

At the mere mention of his name, lesser beings would die, or if lucky lose just their sanity. We can only ever compress that name into the name "Θ" and even then, the consequences are dire. But today that Deity was brought to his knees.

" Did you think you could take on all of us? Including your own weapon?"

His attackers surrounded him, ready to taunt and deliver the final blow. All eagerly waiting to hear his last words.

"… i only regret not killing you when i had the chance"

The king mutters as his attackers deliver the final blow. His breathing fades, his pulse slows down. It can be felt in all of existence that it's ruler has perished.

But one thing was unaware to the victors of this battle. [ ] never surrenders his throne, not even to "Death" itself.

In this instant as life seemingly faded from his husk, life was in-turn brought into the world, somewhere in the lower realms.

"Waaaah waaah"

The cries of a newborn can be heard, life has just been brought into this world.

"What should we call him?"

"… I don't know honey but we're not going with any of the names you chose"

A blinding light overwhelms this new born as he gazes upon the world for the first time, in awe, he notices two strange creatures that he would later discern to be his parents.

His Dad, A tall, dark skinned man who wore glasses, his hair was in the form of a curly sphere, an afro, he was lean but not skinny, he still had muscles for what they were worth.

His Mom who was joyfully looking right at him as his eyes opened, she was dark skinned as well with long curly hair with a smile that was so warm and welcoming.

"He looks so cute, i say we call him Winfrey or Sebastian or maybe even Germaine?"

His wife looks at him with frustrated her sarcastic look on her face. She was not naming her child Winfrey.

"I'm not even considering those names, but what about Ugo?"

"That sounds like a wonderful name, you've made me the happiest man on earth my love"

Her husband says as he hugs his wife and his newborn son.

16 Years go by quickly.

Ugo is all grown up now, He likes to play games, and play with his friends, but most of all, he wants to be an Ascender just like his Mom, The greatest Ascender in the country.

Ascenders, the military might of a nation, they protect the people from bandits, cults and even other nations if need be. With their abilities they bring order to this dark magical world.
