Reincarnating into Teyvat

Hardwork pays off

I have heard those words over and over ever since I was a kid. I actually once believed in those words and worked my hardest in life to get into a good university, get a good job and get a beautiful wife.

My name is Ren Smith and I studied very hard ever since I was a young kid to be successful in life. Most of my motivations roots to my parents which are scumbags who do drugs and abuse me, they even sometimes forget to feed me and so I had to go out to the world and scavenge myself some food so that I can eat.

I even had to enroll myself to a public school and work some shits so that I can get money for my school stuffs, I kept on working very hard believing the words that 'hardwork pays off' and so when highschool arrived I was at the top of my grade and had the best chance of getting accepted into the university that I want. But when I applied for the university that I wanted a rich brats' father used his connections so that his overgrowned sperm gets accepted into the university that I wanted and so his overgrowned sperm got accepted and I got rejected.

If that was not enough my scumbag parents kicked me out and so I had to drop out of school and work full time to support myself.

At this point I realized that the words 'hardwork pays off' is bullshit because even if you work your hardest in life as long as there is someone who has more connections and power than you then hardwork will be useless.

Since I didn't finish highschool most of the jobs that I applied for rejected me and so I was forced to work at a convenience store with a shitty boss.

It has been 10 years since then and I am still working at a convenience store whilst getting underpayed and getting abused by my boss. Honestly at this point I am now very tired of life, the only happiness I have in life is when I get home and opened my trashy computer that I got for 50 bucks.

I opened my computer and opened Genshin Impact, it took me 20 minutes just for the loading screen to be finished which proves just how trashy my computer is.

"Oh right today is the start of the second half of the banners huh..." I muttered as I opened the wishing screen and saw Sigewinne and Furina.

"Alright so I have 90 wishes to get Furina and win my 50/50" I clicked Furina's banner and pulled.

"HOW THE FUCK IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE!?" I shouted in anger Because ever since I reached 80 wishes I pulled one by one only so that I can get some leftover wishes. I was supposed to have some leftover wishes 'supposedly' but I have already pulled 9 more pulls and I still haven't seen the familiar golden comet that indicates 5 star.

"I swear this game is fucking with me..." I said and clicked the one pull again which is a guaranteed 5 star now.

I saw the familiar gold comet as my heart raced. As it crashed I was confused because the pull is blank, there is no character or weapon nothing at all, I thought it was a bug and was about to restart the game when I suddenly felt some kind of force pulling me at my computer screen, I tried to resist but I couldn't as the force is too strong.

I saw my computer screen grow brightly as the light enveloped my whole body and I got sucked in it.

I woke up and saw a dark place around me. I noticed that I am floating at this dark place, I kept on looking around as I was starting to get a bit panicked since any normal human would be as well if they were in my situation unlike those fanfics that I read with the mc acting cool when being reincarnated or summoned and shits when they were supposedly 'normal guy' is bullshit, and so when I was panicking I heard a voice.

"Child calm down" The unknown voice said

"Where are you no wait Who are you?!" I said as I looked around for it. I couldn't recognize if the voice is a girls voice or a boys voice.

"I am what you call a god as for where I am, I'm sorry but I can't show myself to you as if I show myself to you your soul will not be able to handle my presence and will get destroyed" The unknown voice said

"I see... And why am I here God? I doubt me getting sucked by my computer is something that can happen normally..." I said with a hint of suspicion.

"I summoned you here to give you the choice to restart your life in another world, specifically speaking in that world you love to play, into the world of Teyvat" God said

"I'm sorry if you think I'm being rude but I have learned in my life that there is no free food in life, so please tell me what's the catch? why me exactly? And why the world of Teyvat?" I said with a hint of anger and sadness remembering what I had to go through.

"There is no catch, normally there would be but because of the mistake of the god of misfortune for giving you misfortune more than what should normally be given to a human. I am here to compensate you for their mistake and give you the chance for another life. And as for why the world of Teyvat well it's because it's your deepest desire to be in that world." Said God

"So my life is because of the mistake of a God huh..." I said with with my voice full of anger. I didn't hear the last part because after hearing that my life is because of a mistake of a God. My mind was filled with various of thoughts.

"Indeed, I'm sorry about that, but if you choose to take the chance of another life then I will make sure to reincarnate you into a happy and stable family" Said God with a soothing voice

"I see... Before anything else I want to hear what happened to this God that caused my life to be miserable?" I said with a hint of hate and anger.

"I understand why you are angry but he is being given the appropriate punishment and so I hope you can forgive them" Said God

"I'm sorry but I can't and don't want to forgive that God" I said

"That's fine you don't have to forgive them if you don't want to I can understand your feelings, anyway do you accept being reincarnated into Teyvat or do you want to continue your current life? If you choose to continue your life then I will compensate you by making you rich" Said God with a gentle voice

I said without hesitation

"I don't want to continue my current life, I hate it so much I mean I don't have anyone to care for there and I don't have anything that makes me want to stay there at all. And being in Teyvat is so much more better and interesting. Also by reincarnation do you mean I will have to be reborn as a baby?"

"Indeed you will be reborn as a baby and you can't change that as it is within the rules, but don't worry you will remain as a normal baby without your memories. I will return your memories to you when you turn 5 years old" God said with a Gentle voice

"I see, thank you for that God" I said to God

'I won't ask for any benefit for my next life after all that is just me pushing my luck, and just being out of that world is already the best blessing I could ever ask for' I thought

"It's good for you to not be too greedy child but don't worry about your next life, I will give you some 'benefits' that will help you with your next life." God said as if it could read my mind.

Though I am surprised by what he said but after thinking about it for a bit I thought it was normal since God is very powerful so reading my mind is pretty much nothing. As for the 'benefits' I am honestly quite excited for these 'benefits' as God said.

"Now then are you ready to be reincarnated into your next life?" God

"Yes I am ready but before that may I know what benefits you will give me for my next life?" I said to God hoping to know what benefits I will get.

"I won't tell you, as I don't want to spoil it for you" God

"I see, thank you for everything I am ready God." I said a little disappointed

"Very well, now close your eyes and you shall get reincarnated. I hope you have a good life this time child" God said

I closed my eyes as I felt my body getting carried somewhere and soon after that I blacked out
