Chapter 56

* * * *

Shaun was having the same sort of thoughts when it came to Ryan. He’s going to be living scared for the rest of his life if he doesn’t come to terms with what the bastard did to him—and then do something about it.

He knew Ryan wouldn’t tell him who the man was—at least not anytime soon. Not until he knows for certain he can trust me.

He supposed he could confront Mr. Foster at the gallery. Try to throw the fear of God, or at least the law, into him to get him to reveal the man’s name. He had the feeling it would be futile—and worse, now that he thought about it. Whoever Ryan’s abuser was, Mr. Foster had probably called him as soon as Shaun had left the gallery, to let him know what had transpired.

Which will not make him a happy camper. Shaun got some joy from the idea—and more fear for Ryan’s welfare. Because now he knows Ryan isn’t broke. It will definitely up the ante for his wanting to get his hands on him as fast as possible.
