Forest of Death

* Kaito's POV *

The second stage of the Chunin Exam. Each team will be given a scroll, either a Heaven or Earth scroll. Each team need a pair of Heaven and Earth scroll In order to pass, meaning at most only half of the Teams will be qualified to proceed to the next stage. Teams has days to reach the center of the forest with both the pair of scroll in their possession. You may use any means to obtain the scrolls.

Arriving at the entrance of the Forest of Death, we can see the gaze of other participants. It's like their are looking at their prey. They would think that we're easy targets as we are younger and we have one less members than the other teams, making us weaker than them. Seems like they were never taught to never judge a book by its cover. Well, that could be used in our favour anyways so I didn't mind.

I wanted to complete the task and head to the center faster. So my plan was to let the other teams come after us and defeat them. A lot may come after us but that's better than finding them in this big ass forest.

After receiving our scroll, Itachi suggested a plan. We'll head straight to the centre while leaving our scroll in the open to attract other teams. That's similar to my plan so I'll go with it.

Afther that, we were led by a chunin to another entrance of th Forest Of Death. Each team is led to different entrance before the start of exam. Soon, the exam started.

(In The Forest of Death)

Heading straight to the centre, we have our scroll in the open. About 2 hours later, we came across a team of Kiri nin.

"Hand over your scroll and leave. The Chunin Exam isn't some place for kids." A Kiri nin said with a smug face.

"Don't you think we'll be more skilled if we were allowed to participate considering our young age and a lack of team members? Why don't you give up your scroll? " Itachi asked trying to make them give up their scroll.

The Kiri-nin didn't take Itachi's words seriously and they started laughing.

" It's your loss" I said. Then, Itachi and I looked at each other and nooded.

The Kiri-nin took out their kunais and rushed towards us. Just as their attack connects. Itachi turns into crows while trun into snakes.

At this moment, the kiri-nins knew that f**ked up. My snakes slithered to them and wrap them up, restricting their movements. Itachi appeared behind them and did a few hand seals.

[Fire Style : Grand Fireball Jutsu]. Itachi spit out a large fire ball towards the team of Kiri-nin. I the last moment, they surrendered their scroll.

After taking their scroll, my snakes bit them and they fell unconscious. My snakes have special poison which makes people sleep of a few hours. That'll be enough until someone finds them.

After that, we are head towards the centre with full speed as we have already gotten a pair of scroll.

It only took us about an hour to reach the centre and about 4 hours for the whole test. The shinobi stationed there looked at us on shock. Never would they have thought that a team will arrived so fast. What really shocked them was that the team was the youngest and had only two members.

We were told that we can rest in the lounge until the time limit is up or until all the teams arrived.

I'm the lounge, there are food and books for entertainment. We also have our own room for sleeping.

We were having lunch when suddenly someone came in, it was the Hokage.

Hokage: "Uchiha Itachi and Sentsuki Kaito, I'm here to congratulate you on passing the Chunin Exam and to in form you of your promotion to Chunin"

Itachi : "but Hokage-sama, the exam hasn't ended yet."

Hokage :"The exam is just a stage for the villages to see the capability of their shinobi. It does not matter wheather you pass or not, your promotion lies entirely on the kage."

he paused a bit then continued "The both of you have completed the second stage so quickly and breaking the current record at that. I don't see a reason for you to continue the exam. "

Me: "Hokage-sama, can I still participate in the 3rd stage?"

Hokage :"If you want to you may participate in the 3rd stage of the exam. "

Itachi : "Thank you Hokage - sama. I won't be participating in the final exam."

Me : "Then I'll be participating."

Hokage : "I hereby promote Uchiha Itachi and Sentsuki Kaito to Chunin."

After that the Hokage left.

(Some where in the Forest of Death) * General POV *

A gray figure with green hair came out of a tree near a group of Kumo nin. The figure's shape changed into that of a snake. The snake then went into the body of one of the Kumo nin. The same thing occur to a group of Kiri, Suna and Iwa shinobi.

(Kaito's Room in the Centre of The Forest of Death}

A white snake sliterd into the room from a window. The snake is no odinary snake as it doesn't has any scales. Instead, it body has a wood like texture.

The snake arrived beside Kaito and opened its mouth and said, "it's completed Kaito-sama"

Kaito nooded and the snake went into his sleeve.
