"what gives you that assurance, that the girl belongs to my grandson?" madam Rebecca spoke
"grandmother" Angel spoke pitifully again
"I'm not your grandmother" Rebecca cut her off
Angel pretended not to hear her and she continued speaking " Chris and Carlos are the only men have ever been with all my life, we can take a DNA test if you want but I'm certain that the child belongs to Chris please you all should believe me" Angel sobbed
her father moved closer to her to hold her and make the scene even more convincing
Chris stood still, he didn't know what to do he felt like he was going crazy, how could the woman he hated most in his life be the mother of his child and besides he never saw himself being a father or having a family
he had vowed never to live a happy life until he finds that girl and make restitution for his sin, there was no way that girl was his child
"alright fine, let's go inside we will take the DNA test tomorrow, we will be using our family doctor because I don't trust this snitch" Rebecca said and everyone agreed
"but how come we never heard that you had a child, I never saw you pregnant Angel, could it be that you kidnapped or even bought that girl?" Grace accused her standing right in front of her, she wanted to see her reaction
Angel panicked and her face flushed with anger ' does this bitch know something? ' she thought she looked at her father but he wasn't even looking at her
she quickly comported herself "of course not Grace, you are my friend and you know me, I would never do something like that never" Angel said putting her hands on Grace's shoulder
Grace flunged her hands away angrily "we were never friends and we never will be" she snorted at her
"let's just go inside it's getting cold outside its not good for the children" Williams said and headed inside and everyone followed after him
they got the living area dinner was ruined and they could no longer keep eating
everywhere was tensed, everyone sat down
Jane looked at Chris worriedly she was worried for him, he doesn't deserve to go through something like this
he has his flaws but he was still a good man
"Estella please come, arrange a room for my friend and Angel here, there will be here till tomorrow morning" Williams instructed her and she left immediately
"no there's no need for a room for me, I will like to return home, just let me know what the result says" Jonas said
"are you sure my friend?" Williams asked
"yes insist" he insisted
"Angel I will be going now, goodbye my darling " he said and placed a kiss on little Jane's forehead, he stepped out and left
Chris sat opposite Angel and he couldn't help but glance at the little girl in front of him, she was indeed beautiful and cute, she looked smart too, he was beginning to like her already but no he can't feel this way he cautioned himself
he got up and stormed angrily to his room
Maria wanted to follow behind him but Williams stopped her
"leave him alone, he still needs times to process everything that's going on, let him go" Williams said
"but we are not even sure the child is his yet, there's no need to be so upset about it" Maria complained
"mom just leave him alone, give him time okay?" Grace scolded her mother
"Mike please we will need to carry out the test first thing tomorrow morning, we need to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible, I hate seeing my son like this" Williams said
"yes of course Mr Williams that would not be a problem" Mike said
"you are our family doctor and we trust you" madam Rebecca said

"you can pass the night here so we can proceed from here to the hospital tomorrow" madam Rebecca suggested
"no that would not be necessary at all madam" Mike said
"no it's totally fine honey, we can stay here, you are so tired after all , you shouldn't be driving" Patrica said and culled up to her husband lovingly, she didn't want to miss any chance to upset Grace the more
Grace looked at the scene and felt irritated on the spot, ' what a show off ' she thought, she stood up and left
Jane followed after her with Chris, she didn't have any reason to be here anyways
Angel noticed Jane and Chris and her eyes darkened, she was looking beautiful and elegant as always, she wondered who she was
"aunty who is that girl and the boy?" she asked innocently
Maria didn't take her question seriously so she answered her
"she's Chris's personal help and that's her son with her" she answered her honestly
"oh I see"thinking she's no one to worry about she became happy
Grace got to her room and slammed the door angrily, she wished she could pounce on that witch and scratch her face, she was so pissed by her, then she heard a knock
"who's that?" she asked
"it's Jane" Jane replied her
"come in" she answered and Jane stepped in
"wrong timing?' she asked
"no it's fine"
"what a night" she exclaimed
"I know right, everything is just happening so fast" Jane agreed with her
"do you think that girl belongs to my brother?"
"I honestly don't know what to think, but I don't trust that lady especially with what she did to him in the past" Jane said and her face changed, she felt so sad for him
"Chris stay right here with your aunt, I need to check on your daddy" Jane said
"okay mummy"
"I don't think you should go, he's quite moody at the moment, I don't want him to take it out on you" Grace said
"no I don't think he will, I'm so worried about him, I will just check and come back" she said
