Sheila tried to scream but Smile had gagged her heavily and tied her hands so she couldn't remove the cloth from her mouth. He knew very well that if she shouted well enough, Charlotte would recognize her voice immediately and that would be the end of his funny games. Sheila would have been comfortable being in his house because she didn't think of Smile as the kind of man who would commit a senseless murder but she was not. She didn't understand why he chose to kidnap her and still keep her even after she had told him that she was Charlotte 's friend. He surely had some evil intentions if not he would have let her free already. She struggled with the ropes and feeling it begin to loosen, she pushed more, trying to free herself from the improvised basement prison.
