It was a long way back and Smile and Alberto had not said a word to each other all through the trip. Smile was lost in thoughts and Alberto knew only too well that he was bothered. He was bothered about a lot of things and one of them was why Alberto had made him come down to save him if he could just save himself on his own. Why did he stress them? And the resulting effect of it was the death of Jacobi. He knew that Charlotte was not going to accept any of his explanations and she was going to be very angry with him. She had warned him against going to save Alberto and he had refused. Smile in that moment, felt like the weight of the whole world had been dumped on his shoulders and he knew that he did not have a choice but to carry the load.
