Chapter 3 - A little past and future

"Actually, I am the twin son of the current Supreme Pontiff, and my twin sister has innate spirit power rank 20 but when it comes to me, I only have Rank 5 and that's when my grandpa neglected me because I didn't inherit the Seraphim spirit and my mother was always cold to me, I tried to talk with my original mother but maybe because of low innate spirit power she disappointed in me" 

Liu Erlong was silently listening to him, frightened that Spirit Hall would come and take her son away if they knew about his talent. But she had no idea he was the son of the Supreme Pontiff, but she didn't mind as long as they didn't interfere with their life. And she needed to get stronger to support her son, so she clenched her fist with ravenous eyes. 

"And before the Spirit ceremony, I always spend my time in Spirit Hall Library to learn new knowledge because there is so much information about the entire Doulou Continent history and this is where I was able to create this Compressed Ring method and I am an idiot that wants to surprise my grandpa and Supreme Pontiff but..."

He bit his lower lip as he remembered their faces when his innate spirit power was out, and he was despised by them. 

"They were disappointed in me when I tested the spirit power, and I was very eager to tell them about my method and Second Spirit, but I never expected things to go this way...." 

Liu Erlong knelt beside Liu Feng and gently hugged him, but he didn't cry; he was simply relieved that his mother didn't blame him for concealing his background. 

"Thank you for informing me, and I will not leave or care about your past, but only I care about is my son's safety," Liu Erlong murmured as she kissed his brow with her cherry lips. 

"And tell that training plan that I am ready for it, son," Liu Erlong stated as he nodded to her.

"First, experience your Fire element with a green leaf, and for that, the technique is just a framework to the Nature transformation method which I will teach you later," said Liu Feng.

"Next one is, form the compress rings in the Spiritual sea to increase the metal power or spiritual power, and finally, absorb a Red Spirit ring for your breakthrough to the next rank," he said, and she fell silent for a minute. 

"..."

"Don't be concerned, Mommy, I have a plan for that, but I'm not sure if it will work or not; we'll try," Liu Feng remarked, grasping her delicate hands. 

"No, I'm thinking about who will help me catch a 100,000-year-old spirit beast, and hunting that soul beast requires a lot of manpower," Liu Erlong pondered. 

"It's fine Mommy, leave it to me; do you know any Titled Douluo around here?" Liu Feng inquired. Liu Erlong was thinking when she suddenly remembered an old man. 

"Well, there is poison Douluo in here, but he had a bit of a temper, that's what I heard in a circle," Liu Erlong explained.

Later he explained the Elemental control, Nature Transformation method and Compress Ring method as she listened carefully. After that Liu Feng went out to the training ground leaving Liu Erlong alone. 

"What should I do if I face Supreme Pontiff, can I support him in her place, I don't think I have strength against her" 

She fell into deep thought and remembered her first meeting with her son in the dark alley. 

"I don't care Bibidong, I am his mother now and I will take responsibility as a parent so don't blame me if you don't realise your mistake then you will know what you missed" 

She got up, took a leaf in her hand and controlled her fire element to burn on a spot that she marked on the leaf but the leaf burned into ashes. 

"It is difficult as my son said Fire is a violent element to control haha just like me but I am more suborn than this," said Liu Erlong with a wide grin as she started her training to become strong. 

On the other hand, Liu Feng was contemplating his spirit beast kind, and his spirit was primarily based on space components because it was difficult to find a suitable spirit beast.

"It is rare to find a space-type spirit beast, but that doesn't mean I have to absorb a space spirit beast," Liu Feng said as he began to plot his future strategy for selecting Spirit rings. He primarily decided to breach the Spirit ring year configuration's usual conformation to absorb. 

'First, mental power and physical strength of the body are the most important components for absorbing greater Spirit rings,' Liu Feng reasoned. He knew how to improve his physical strength, but he had no idea how to raise his mental power, so he resolved to attempt any way he could find in his Inheritance from his First Spirit. 

As the days passed, both Mother and Son worked hard to raise the Spirit rank. Liu Erlong was startled to learn that his son's tactics were incredible, raising her spirit rank from 72 to 75, but it was so difficult to build a compressed ring in her Spiritual sea that she still couldn't form a single compressed ring yet. 

Liu Feng exercises his body daily and he estimated that he could absorb 500 years of spirit ring but he still didn't find a way to develop Mental power. 

After a few months finally, Liu Feng's spirit power was at Rank 10 as he was able to form a compressed ring in his Spiritual sea easily at that time he experienced his Mental power rise as he felt happy.

'Wait! Why don't I summon my second spirit out' thought Liu Feng as a gold and red-black colour Grimoire book appeared with a lock on it. He held it with his hand to check anyway he could open the book but he couldn't able to open the Grimoire.

After reaching the Sprit power level 10 the Sphere halo seals were broken and now he was able to summon his second spirit but still can't able to unlock the spirit.

'Perhaps absorbing a spirit ring can release my Second spirit,' Liu Feng mused as he considered the type of Soul beast he should hunt for his first spirit ring. 

'I might be able to absorb 800 to 900 years of spirit ring as my first spirit ring,' Liu Feng thought as he stood up and headed to Liu Erlong's room with a joyful face, eager to report his success. Liu Erlong was sitting cross-legged as she meditated to absorb the Spirit power in the air, and her degree of Nature Transformation climbed to a new level where she could easily control her fire element Also her innate skill aided her, as well as her attack power surged. 

"Phew, still not enough to form the compressed ring," Liu Erlong murmured as she stood up, her son's presence approaching, and she smiled instinctively. 

"Hello my baby, Oh! Congratulations on reaching level 10 of your spirit rank," Liu Erlong exclaimed as she instantly hugged him. 

"Hehe Thank you Mommy then when we will go to hunt my spirit ring," Liu Feng stated while in his mother's arms. 

"But son, have you decided what type of Spirit ring you want to absorb?" Liu Erlong inquired, knowing that her son was knowledgeable but not wanting to miss out on sharing her experience with him. Liu Feng glanced at his attractive mother, who was thinking about him. 

"Originally, I wanted to absorb any powerful assault-type Spirit ring, but after reaching Spirit level 10, I can summon ten triple-pointed Kunai," Liu Feng explained.

"What are you saying, seriously son?" Liu Erlong questioned, surprised, as she looked at him, and her son nodded his head with a grin.

"Sigh! Day by day, my son is turning into a monster," Liu Erlong said, shaking her as she tried to act normal about her son's talent.

"Hehe," Liu Feng chuckled at her mother's cute shocking expression, while Liu Erlong pouted and pushed him on the bed while tickling him. 

"Haha...Mommy, please stop...Haha...so..rry...I won't laugh at you haha" Liu Feng laughed as his mother tickled him. 

"Will you laugh at me the next time?" Liu Erlong, who was still tickling her son with her hands, said as Liu Feng trembled, shivering his body to avoid Liu Erlong's ticklings. 

"No..No..haha I will never do that Mommy please forgive haha" cried Liu Feng as his mother eventually stopped and he could finally rest a little. Liu Erlong embraced her son into her bosom by lying next to him on the bed, kissing her son's silky golden hair warmly.

"But I'm glad you're getting stronger, son, but based on your weapon type Spirit, you can have agility and poison element options, but you wanted to go in assault type Spirit abilities, so there are many soul beasts, we'll hunt down a suitable one," Liu Erlong smiled as Liu Feng nodded at her.

Mother and son were now travelling in a waggon to go Spirit Beasts hunting. Liu Feng was sitting on his mother's lap while she was brushing his golden hair, and he couldn't stop smiling because he couldn't contain his excitement for his first Spirit ring. 

"Ara, it appears you can't wait to have your first Spirit ring," Liu Erlong stated, seeing her son's excitement for the Spirit ring. 

"Hehe, you're right, Mommy, and with this, I'll plan out my future Spirit abilities," Liu Feng exclaimed eagerly to Liu Erlong. 

"But Mommy, why are we going to Star Luo Forest when Sunset Forest is close to our home?" Liu Feng asked as Liu Erlong beamed at him when she heard the word home. 

"Well, because your Spirit is special with space element, and that too a weapon spirit, we need a variety of Spirit beasts to look for, and Star Luo forest is the best place to hunt," Liu Erlong said as her son agreed. 

The cart came to a halt at the entrance to Star Luo Forest, where some people were travelling in groups and some alone. Both stepped out of the cart and entered the Forest, where Liu Feng felt a surge of Spirit power on his face as he rejuvenated himself by perceiving it. 

'Wow, such pure Spirit power!' cried Liu Feng inwardly as Liu Erlong held his hand as they moved between the large trees. 

They encountered numerous minor Spirit beasts as Liu Erlong detailed the peculiarities of Spirit beasts they encountered and what figures may be used to separate the Spirit beat's years. 

"Mommy, what spirit ring year should I absorb?" Liu Feng inquired as his mother grimaced, implying that her son desired to absorb considerably more than the standard Spirit ring arrangement. 

"What's to say, just like the standard published Spirit ring configuration you should follow," Liu Erlong remarked awkwardly, and Liu Feng grinned at his mother's concern for him. 

"But Mommy, you know I can absorb much more years than 453 years Spirit ring, at least 800 to 900 years I can withstand an.." Liu Erlong cut him off before he could continue his sentence. 

"I won't allow anything that harms you, so that is my final word on this matter," Liu Erlong said firmly as they arrived at a flat area suited for resting. 

"I know you love me very much, Mommy, but if I take a step back now, I won't be able to find the strength to prove to them that I am not a mediocre person," Liu Feng stated, his ocean-blue eyes locked on his mother's. Liu Erlong couldn't speak against him after looking at him and listening to his words. 

"Sigh... ok but if it leads to your life I will stop no matter what consequences you face after I stop you," Liu Erlong responded, knowing that Liu Feng would not listen to her if she talked anymore. 

"Ok fine as you wish Mommy," Liu Feng remarked as Liu Erlong smiled and hugged him while preparing the location with a tent.
