Chapter 127 - A Revenge Assault on Russell

Third person POV

 Later, the afternoon was full of bonding time. Adrian, Nicholas, and Taryn were having fun, taking a break from their royal duties at the palace. Russell, while running to chase Rai and James, suddenly and unknowingly unlocked Flash Speed, an S-ranked Lightning ability, much to his and his friends' amazement. Russell, in response to this, then began to train using that for a few hours instead of waiting until the end of the camping trip. At the same time, Adrian trained his Mind Manipulation ability on some animals nearby, while Kelly was flying around as a Silver Dragon, much to the amazement of those who didn't know her true form yet. Russell and the others confirmed that in response to that. Rai and Ria even showed their Silver Dragon wings as proof as well.

 And then, teatime came at 3 o'clock, and all of them gathered at the campsite to have some tea and light snacks. All of them are having good and mild chats while sipping some nice Green Leaf tea and munching some cookies and butter biscuits. The rest of the afternoon was spent on more fun time and hunting and sparring sessions for fun.

 And later, at 6:14 p.m., as the sun set, the group prepared the campfire to cook some of the meat of the animals from their hunting sessions. Russell, meanwhile, went to his bus, which was just 250 yards away from their campsite, to check on it and reflect on his recent days near it. At the same time, Nathan and Azalea are now within the perimeters of Rossley Woods setting up a simple camp for the night. And then, as Russell reflected on his recent days while looking at his bus, a voice called out to him, "There you are, stupid Renad!"

Russell heard that and got alerted, looking around.

The young bus driver then noticed the Elai party to his right.

The party is angry at him, preparing their weapons and magical abilities against him.

 "You will pay for ruining our lives, you junkie Renad," Elai said to him coldly while holding her Flaming Sword.

 "You guys crossed the line," Russell coldly said to the disgraced party for trying to assault him just because he exposed their misdeeds on Adrian to their adventurers' guild. He looked at them with anger on his face, before flowing his lightning magic through his sword. "You guys went too far! Too far!"

Elai and her party were offended and focused on their grudge against the young bus driver and free adventurer.

 "You will pay for this!" Elai shouted at him.

She and her party readied their weapons and magic against Russell.

 Russell won't use his sword; instead, he will use the door of one of his bus's baggage compartments and one of its windshield wipers. After Russell did so and returned to the battleground with his unconventional and theoretically practical weapons, the Elai party laughed at him for using those.

 "What are those?" Belius asked while snickering.

 "Those things look weak and fragile!" Hans shouted in mockery.

 "We'll beat you easily!" Elai hurled out a threat towards him.

But despite the threats and mockery towards him, Russell refused to be deterred by it.

 But before that battle would start, the Elai party tried to demoralize him by hitting and vandalizing his bus. Russell won't allow that to happen by using his Conductor ability on a metal part of the exterior of his bus. This caused the rogue party to back off upon seeing the electricity cackling across the exterior of the vehicle. So, they decided to fight Russell instead; Russell, however, accepted it.

 And so, the assault-battle had begun. Elai lunged at Russell with her sword shrouded in flames produced by her fire magic. But Russell blocked it with his small windshield wiper. Elai tried to break it through with her strong sword, but it was useless against a three-metal-alloy windshield wiper. This stuns the rogue hero party, and when Hans snuck behind Russell and tries to strike him with his sword, a strong stream of water is fired towards him. This struck him, as well as splashing some water towards Aeri and Elai. Elai's attack was cut short so she could shake off the water from her body. Belius was stunned at this and looked at whoever was firing water at his older sister and friend, only to see that it was James. James had seen everything and was furious at them for trying to hurt his friend.

 "Tak ada teman yang tertinggal (No friend left behind in his secondary language, Indonesian)!" James shouted at them.

Russell and the others then looked at him.

 "James-san?" Russell said to him.

 "Yes, it's me, Russell," responded James back with courage and toughness on his face. "Are these guys trying to hurt or something?"
