A week passed since I've come to this world. The old bastards went through recycling and there wasn't much else I had to worry about. As I sat in class, the teacher took roll call. I noticed there was one boy in class that has been absent a few times lately and he wasn't here today either. I only noticed because I've seen that same boy giving me weird looks.

At first, I thought he had Ill intentions for me, but he helped me when I was being bullied by one of our classmates. And he even helped pick up my books after a girl knocked them out of my hands. 8 hours later... School ended, and I went home. Our house isn't in great shape, and needs repairs, but papa barely makes enough money to keep things running. Mama sells crafts she makes at home but that doesn't earn much.

I walked into the house and took my shoes off before coming in. "I'm home!" I said before starting to go to my room, but then my parents called me. "Saki, come here!"

I went into the living room, and saw Mama and Papa, but there was someone else there too.

Kazuki-kun? What's he doing here?

"Saki-chan! Come sit." her mother called her over and she sat down next to her on the couch, stealing glances at Kazuki-kun until someone tells her what's happening. Her mother held her arm excitedly. "Listen to this, Saki. You're getting married!"

My mind stopped working like a pc loaded with too many porn viruses.

Married? Me? With Kazuki-kun?

My face got hot thinking about it! I had to cover my face in embarrassment.

"M-Mama! What do you mean, I'm getting married?!"

Papa spoke up, "My new son-in-law has agreed to marry you, Saki. This is a cause for celebration, our financial situation will improve drastically after we connect ourselves with them through marriage! I couldn't be happier!"

Her Papa said so... It must be real... But m-me? Why would Kazuki-kun want to marry me?

His smile when he introduced himself sent blissful shivers up my spine but the pout he made at the end caused me to melt... Ah I must look like a tomato right now!

After that we set a date for the weekend, then he left... I went to my room and buried my face in my pillow and kicked my legs. Part out of excitement and part embarrassment. "A... Date? Like a normal girl? Oh no! What am I going to wear?!" I thought about the makeover I had planned to do before high school... Maybe I should do that sooner...
