The group looked at the two message windows in front of each of them. They were very different from the ones they were used to, which assigned them a mission every time they entered a shard of the Historical Void.
A black sun rose on the horizon, majestic and enigmatic, its edges seeming to burn with a faint corona of dark fire. Despite its deep blackness, it emitted a pale, mysterious, almost spectral light that bathed the mountain in a grayish, cold glow.
Kane was the first to emerge from his stupor. Without delay, he gave a soft clap, bringing the others back to reality, blinking repeatedly.
Everyone except Kane, was confused and shocked. The rest of the group looked around nervously and fearfully as a cold breeze blew through their bodies, making them shiver.
Barak, who had already recovered, asked, visibly nervous.
