Upon landing at the vicinity, Janet waited for the dust to settle, her eyes searching for any signs of Aldrin. Her gaze was sharp and focused, years of battle experience allowing her to spot even the slightest inconsistency in the foliage.
After taking down her opponent, she followed Irina's direction and found the clearing. She saw the Metadomes of Aldrin's clone spread out. She tried communicating but they weren't answering so she had no choice but to continue searching for him.
Aldrin, who noticed her immediately, mentally called his clones and summoned units to retreat deeper into the forest. Unlike Irina, he had yet to fully reveal their existence to Janet. She only knew that he had something unique aiding him, but the extent of it was still a mystery.
Opening the private communication channel, Aldrin approached where Janet landed, his voice strained with tension. "Elder sister, it's me. Why did you come out here? Is the battle over?"
