Worry

After dinner, Jasmine saw Kimberly slipping out to the garden, her lip curved faintly. Allowing her Dear Sister some time to herself, aches were slowly beginning to come to notice as they talked on and on and some minutes after that, she decided it was time to accost her Dearest.

Kimberly was spotted touching young, blooming flowers. When Jasmine came to stand behind her, touching her lightly with her legs, she felt Kimberly stiffen, yet she managed to squint at her.

"I thought you were chatting away with them." She said, trying to sound as normal as possible, only that there was a very noticeable quivering behind her voice.

"I was just listening."

Kimberly nodded then she stood straight.

"I'll go take your place then." Starting to walk away, something stopped her. And she was pretty sure it was not Jasmine. A dominating aura wrapped itself around her like a blanket and her senses flared with danger.

"I just want to spend time with you, you won't let me?" Jasmine's words were warm, her voice unusually soft, the look in her eyes unnervingly pleading. Kimberly shook herself awake. The change in Jasmine was very peculiar. But she couldn't bring herself to refuse, so she nodded and came to fold her arms around herself beside Jasmine. Her Sister looked like she approved of her obedience.

"Kimberly," her spine went rigid. Her name was being called in that same soft voice, it was supposed to be a good change, but Kimberly found it seemed to bear something dangerous. "After that incident, I don't want you being stiff with me."

That reminded Kimberly about the foolish thing she had wanted to do. The thought of what pushed her into doing it still made her shudder. There was just something she was not getting.

"H-How did you know that I did it?" She asked, unsteadily. Jasmine's eyes danced.

She sat, looking up at the people she had entrusted the successful conveyance of her crew to. How badly they disappointed her.

"What happened?" She asked, pinching the skin between her brows. Her headache was unnerving.

Derrick bit his lip slightly, not very sure how to answer.

"We're really not sure, everything just came crashing; the communication got cut off and..."

Jasmine closed her eyes with an audible sigh, making him pause. She had already deployed a group of people to where the jet had crashed, they should be giving her information any minute from now...

Though she had decided to follow them to Barleion to check for herself. And in the search, she had found a little chip. It was pretty easy to hack into it, though she was no professional. And for the short time it lasted, it had made her guess what would make it so weak.

Kimberly was the only person who really favoured having this in her naughty adventures.

For the time it functioned, she managed to get someone to hack into it's location. How funny it seemed that it ended up in the hotel her team had been staying in. Just how funny.

She waved all of them away and had especially gone to visit the ones left behind, it didn't matter that it was very early in the morning.

It didn't take much persuasion to get Tristan to agree to help her. After all, he had been so eager to prove her wrong. To him, Ian was one of the nicest persons he knew and there was no way in the world he would agree to do something that would harm other people, kill them even.

And when he came to her after going to Ian's room, with the look on his face, nobody needed to tell her what the answer was. It was she who paid for his flight and checked him out.

For Ian...

Her smirk showed it all.

Kimberly could feel a tingle in her belly. Of fear. "What... What did you do to him?" She stammered, her eyes filled with a whole new level of fear, one she never felt before.

Jasmine's smile grew even wider.

"You don't want to know." She turned to leave, but threw over her shoulder, very similar to the Devil's whisper. "But just, worry."
