"I told you to just drop her home, not live with her!" Dylan snapped as Waylen came in from the door and the poor guy looked awkward.
"Well, her house was not a short distance." He peered up at Dylan.
"Of course it wasn't. And I'm sure coffee didn't take such a short time too."
Waylen sighed, he just couldn't understand something.
"You're being really possessive right now." That was a dare word, but he said it anyway.
Dylan gave him a long stare. "Shouldn't I be? Aren't you my possession?"
Waylen weighed the options in his mind and it was made up. "You know I was talking about you being possessive of her."
Dylan's head drew back on its accord. "Don't talk rubbish."
Waylen bit his lips and walked past him muttering all the while. "Miss Beautiful is not even as authoritative as you are, at least she thinks being with me is fun. And here I am, stuck with someone who doesn't even see my worth." Dylan's eyes narrowed at him.
"You just want to be with her because you think she's beautiful, but she could look like an ape, I don't give a...
"Oh, no, Miss Beautiful, really is beautiful."
Dylan turned to him and crossed his hands over his chest, challengingly. "What do you know she looks like?"
Waylen opened his mouth to respond, but the words caught in his throat. And he realized that her face was erased from his memory. He agreed he had seen her for brief moments, but he thought he would at least remember what her lips looked like. However, it was just an empty spot in his brain. How strange. For all he knew, his memory was a very sharp one. And something as mysterious as her was not to be forgotten so easily. He gave Dylan a defeated glance and feeling very weird, he walked away.

"You think it's alright to just scare the man like that?" Amelia asked as she came to stand behind Jasmine.
She turned to Amelia. "You think I would 'just'?" Exhaling deeply, she turned again. "Amelia, he should be scared."
Amelia detected something in her that made her swallow. "What are you saying?" She asked slowly and Jasmine only turned to look at her with her lips curved in a sinister smile. She placed a hand on Amelia's shoulder and going close to her, she whispered quite audibly.
"I love surprises." Amelia was not feeling afraid, she couldn't since she was not to, but she felt something wrap itself around her and she translated it to be survival instincts. But before it could go further, Jasmine pulled away with her lips still carved beautifully in that smile and Amelia tried to figure it out as she watched her retreating back. The fire burning in her heart could clearly be noticed and Amelia never got sure of what it was. She just knew it was blood-crawling.

The Smith Company
"I need that meeting pre-poned." Dylan's strides were just so fast that his Secretary had to run to keep up.
"Sir, I don't think it will be possible." Her voice was a bit breathy from the way she was following him.
"Why not? You have a date?" Adelaide's face flushed a bit. He was her Boss and he was talking to her like this?
"Of course not, Sir..." She paused as she caught sight of Jayden nodding her away.
When Dylan spotted his Father, he rolled his eyes. "What was I even thinking?" Who else would make his workers have the impetus to oppose him? "What's this all about?"
Jayden ignored his questions as he just walked past into Dylan's office.
"No meetings tonight." Dylan thought he sounded too much like he had control of everything.
"And why not?" Turning on his heels, he faced his Father.
Old Smith didn't look very pleased with him.
"You've forgotten we're supposed to be going to the Reign's today?"
Dylan's brows shot up in shocked surprise and for some reason, he pushed the door close.
"We were?" He asked as his brows drew together. He was pretty sure no one gave him that piece of information, but it seemed like he was supposed to know as Jayden was looking at him with an absurd expression.
"Why should we?" Dylan exhaled deeply when he found out that Jayden was being sarcastic.
"I had no idea. Seriously."
He squinted his eyes suspiciously at Dylan. "Ciara didn't tell you?"
Why would she? She doesn't even like seeing other women around me then is it going to be someone as charming as... He forced himself to bite down those words.
"She might have forgotten." He said, drily and sat on the edge of the table.
Old Jayden looked convinced then. "Fine. Ray invited us for dinner in like 2 hours, so no work for you for the rest of the day."
Dylan's brows shot up again, she had obviously told her Father to do that. Some days without any response, he had not thought of it coming along anymore. Not that he wanted it though, but it was hard not to expect. And he had managed to discard the thought from his mind, but now, this...
"Get home by 7!" He didn't even know when Jayden passed until his voice boomed in the hallway. Now, people were going to think that his Father owned his life. At that, he made up his mind to make sure they wouldn't try that. If it ever crossed minds, of course they knew what he was capable of.
Jasmine Reign. She had such a complicated personality that no one could really be sure which one was truly her. The negative attitude she exuded, could make people hate her. And if she switched to positive mode, she was just a dream woman.
Thinking about her against his wish, he shook his head as he pushed himself up, grabbed his coat and hung it on his shoulder.
"What should I do about the meeting?" Adelaide caught up with him and the juggling of walking and running started all over again. His long legs were just covering more distance than normal.
"Cancel it."
