Human World 2

Yona POV-

As I beheld the map, I noticed a cross in the middle. Various locations close to the mansion, where Karl had Angelica locked up, appeared on the map. I have no doubt that the center cross is where she is!

"How did Lady Romane find out about this?"

While Lady Romane continued to sip her tea, I inquired while setting the map down on the table.

"I have my connections," she said in response to my question, raising her eyes. I nodded and turned to look at the map.

My eyes widened at that statement, "I would help you reach the human world but after that it is on you."

"Is it possible for me to enter the human world?"

"Yes, but keep in mind that the mansion is heavily guarded, so it would not be easy."

That made me scowl, even though it was still expected! It seems unreal that I would be putting myself in danger and that I would now need to think of a way to get past their guard.

With determination, I turned to face Lady Romane and said, "I would get to her!" I am a demon still."

I mean, I ought to have some abilities, right? For being demon and everything. I thought about that.

Lady Romane gave me a long look before grinning; it seemed like she was smiling a lot these days.

Really, this was frightening me. However, I was ready for the yet to come.

She grinned and said, "There is no need; I would get you people to help with security so you can sneak in. Just keep in mind that you only get one chance."

"When should I depart?" I asked, nodding at that.

"At your convenience." I nervously fidgeted with my hands, folding them. This was my chance, to save my friend, to risk for her? At this point, I was not sure of anything yet...yet..yet I have to do this! even when I run the danger of being discovered. What precisely am I going to do? I don't know! Escape? It is actually the first time I have ever done anything like this; it usually only occurs in novels, but here I am.

Only the male lead gets to fight the villain for the female lead, however here I am being a hero for no reason but I just know that I can do this.

"Lady Romane, I am ready," I said, glancing at her.

I am capable of this! This is not for me! Yes, but for my kids, for everyone I want to save!

Lady Romane summoned her butler, who was carrying a large, palm-sized box. A gold flower was engraved in the center of the box, giving the impression that it was ancient. A few writings on the sides, written in a demonic language, were also etched there. As Cordelia was still able to read and write in this world even though it was not Japanese, I knew that it read "Fire." I also recently realized this.

I was still able to read the language here even though all I knew was a little bit of English and Japanese.

A crimson dagger with a gold ring around the blade emerged from the box as Lady Romane opened it. Similar to the blade, the handle had a deep red color. On top of it were black engravings. As Lady Romane removed the dagger by grasping its handle, I was astounded by what I saw. She reached for the dagger in her hand and set the box down, gesturing for me.

This caught me off guard, so I asked, "For me?" pointing to myself.

"This dagger is a demonic weapon, passed down to powerful demons; it may come in handy for you when you are in danger," Lady Romane said with a nod.

My eyes enlarge, how did she had such powerful thing? A demonic weapon? Last time I checked, wasn't she a vampire? Huh?

I still have a bad feeling about her even now. Is she really that strong to have such a powerful weapon? I did not know, but there is no time to second-guess her now—I will have to take the risk anyhow, so I might as well think about her later.

As soon as I took the dagger from her hand, I noticed that it was as light as a feather and that I was only holding it with one hand as opposed to two.

Lady Romane gave me a startled look, and I furrowed my brows in question.

"I suppose, it is true," she sighed at that point.

"What do you mean, Lady?" I asked, looking perplexed.

I just noticed the redness in her hands as she rubbed them. Realizing this, I froze and fixed my gaze on the dagger I was holding.

"This heavy weapon can only be lifted by a demon, and since you took it as light as a feather, I suppose that is the truth."

I exclaimed at that, I see now how precious this dagger this, I held the dagger close to my heart as I looked at her.

"This dagger should be useful to you; it will also protect you in the event that the guards accompanying you are unable to do so."

I nodded at that as I got up, Lady Romane motioned to her butler, as some men came over. The group consisted of 5 people. You could argue that the others all appeared ordinary, but one individual stood out.

"These are my best trained men; they will keep you safe until the very end."

I could not take my eyes off of the man in the middle; he was simply too good. His lush hair cascaded down his back and resembled soft grass that was comfortable to lay on. His emerald eyes glinted in the light. He was breath taking, I must say, I see such a good man after such a long time that I am taken a back. His face was so beautifully composed, with plump lips, a sharp nose, and soft eyes.

I just stared at the man as he walked forward towards me, "He is the captain and my most trusted man, Xavier. He is also the strongest, and his team would do a great job of protecting you."

Xavier gave me a soft smile as he looked at me. I gave him a half-hearted nod, a little taken aback by his attractiveness, but I pulled myself together and turned to face Lady Romane.

"Lady, I am so grateful for all of your kindness."

"You are risking yourself to save my niece, at least I can do this much," she said, her lips rising as she spoke.

I gave a nod in agreement, shut my eyes, and realized that I was finally entering my former world. Human world, I am coming!

Feeling the metal against my chest, I held the dagger close to ensure that my worries would calm down, that I would succeed. Karl will not be able to stop me from fighting for the people I want to save!

To be continued....
