Chapter 74: Florian Triangle

The Florian Triangle was a mysterious region where anything could mysteriously disappear. It was said that over a hundred ships vanished here each year, and rumors even spoke of ghost ships carrying the souls of the deceased roaming the area.

Rodney and his crew had already sailed into the Florian Triangle. The fog around them grew denser, covering the sky and making it nearly impossible for sunlight to penetrate through. Visibility was extremely low, and even the Sharingan couldn't see far.

Amidst the sound of waves, there was nothing else. Due to the lack of direct sunlight, the temperature in this area was low. Leicester, with the weakest constitution, couldn't help rubbing his hands and asked, "Captain, is it true what my old man said? Is this place haunted?"

"Haunted? Well, maybe not haunted, but there are zombies, the talking kind," Rodney replied.

"Zo-zombies?" Leicester turned pale with fear.

Robin smiled and said, "I heard people frequently disappear here. Captain, do you have a way to get out of this place?"

"I'm not sure," Rodney looked at Robin with no words, scaring Leicester again with his dark history.

Leicester was timid, probably because he hadn't seen much of the world...

"Captain, can we leave?" Leicester tugged on Rodney's sleeve with hopeful eyes.

"Perhaps. You and Reiju stay behind then. I'm not sure if toxins work on zombies, and you can also provide support," Rodney said, leaving a clone to deliver messages.

Reiju asked, "Captain, are you going to take action against the Shichibukai Gecko Moria?"

"Of course, has the Marine forbidden me from attacking the Shichibukai?" Rodney smiled and said, "Then let me help them get rid of those troublesome guys."

When had the Marine ever stopped him? As long as there was an opportunity, they would eliminate the Shichibukai. It was better for him to lend a hand.

Besides, he still had a mission to fulfill.

Thousand Birds? That would be useful, as it could complement his Sharingan. The only issue was its loud sound, making it unsuitable for assassination.

How had Kakashi thought of showing off with the Sharingan by replicating Rasenshuriken? He could have simply used other techniques to deal with Zabuza. Why go through all that trouble, only to fail at showing off...

But Water Release: Five Feeding Sharks and Hidden Shadow Snake Hands were great additions. Kisame's and Orochimaru's abilities would be useful. 

"What a junkyard this place is," Reiju commented as she looked at the floating debris and a few bodies in the sea. She frowned and said, "Could it be that Dark King Rayleigh and Gecko Moria had a fight?"

"Fight is inevitable, but I don't know the extent of it. Well, in other words, Moria was beaten to a pulp."

After throwing the body back into the sea, Rodney said, "Because this body was stolen."

"Stolen?" The three of them looked puzzled.

"Moria's ability can inject other people's shadows into bodies, turning them into 'zombies' with the abilities of their former owners. To create an undead army, Moria orders his subordinates to steal corpses from all over the world and plunder others' shadows, creating powerful zombies," Rodney explained.

One of Moria's Mysterious Four subordinates, the surgeon Hogback, stole corpses from cemeteries around the world, altered and preserved them, and then Moria infused them with shadows. Initially, the zombies would retain the personalities of their former owners, but later, they would become obedient zombies under Moria's control.

These zombies would have the abilities of their former owners. However, if the former owner had a Devil Fruit ability, the zombie wouldn't acquire that ability.

Otherwise, if it was possible to steal abilities, the dangerous Shadow-Shadow Fruit would never have been allowed to survive by the World Government. Of course, Moria's ability would eventually attract the World Government's attention and result in his annihilation.

With his Fire Release, Rodney could deal with them, and with Water Release, he could handle the rest. Though, he needed to be standing on the sea surface to use Water Release, or it would produce fresh water.

"Everyone, be on guard. By the way, Robin, Reiju, Leicester, be careful of a little girl with a small parasol and pink hair in twin tails. Her ability will make you, uh, how should I put it... involuntarily reveal your dark histories. You wouldn't want a public execution, would you?"

Rodney thought that Perona, the Ghost Princess, was even more troublesome than Moria. After all, he didn't want to be hit by her negative ghosts and unintentionally spill his dark secrets.

Reiju might be fine, as her past was already set up, so even if it was exposed, it wouldn't matter. However, the expressions on Robin's and Leicester's faces changed. It seemed they had some dark histories they didn't want anyone to know...
