I Will Be Popular After Being In A Coma

Alan Bennet was what you would call a regular teen. He had no redeeming qualities. Neither handsome nor ugly. Neither talented nor untalented. Neither fat nor slim. Neither good nor bad grades. Alan Bennet was always in the middle, and he was used to it.     Second of three siblings, he was used to being ignored the most. He got the less amount of gifts on Christmas or his own birthday. His parents had even forgotten to pick him up from school once, after which he began to walk back on his own.      To make things even worse he had, after two exhausting years, gathered enough courage to confess to his only friend. Of course, he was rejected.  "Why would I date someone who doesn't even try to better himself?"      Those words were played over and over on his mind as he walked the long way to his house. He didn't want to reach it, at least not so soon. He preferred to stay outside with nature and animals, which were the only two living things that seemed to pay any attention to him. The stinging words resounded in his head once more, but they were mixed with something akin to a truck's horn.  *HONK*     His sight, which had been lost looking at nothing, was suddenly filled with a white titan of 600 hp. That was the last thing he saw before his consciousness was lost. When he woke up the next time, everything would've changed.  *     For Convenience's Sake, you may just refer to this story as "iCOMA".

Megan x Classes x Jean

I don't remember how long I had been hugging her, but the bell that marked the beginning of classes had already ringed. I was trying to console her in any possible way, but she just didn't seem to want to stop crying. Then, someone that I recognized but shouldn't be here walked towards us.

An adult body covered by a short, tight-fitting black dress, legs decorated by black stockings with a garter belt and a long red scarf wrapped around her neck. A part of her face was covered by her black hair with a red lock, with the back of it tied in a high bun. She was walking with a hurried step which made her heels create an even stronger sound than they should when they contacted the floor. This was Fiora, the champion from League of Legends. But she was in her Headmistress Fiora skin... 'Don't tell me...'

"Mr. Bennet, I see that you are finally back in school"

She was either a teacher or the headmistress of this high school, and I could only hope she wasn't as strict as she looked with those rectangular glasses. Then again, my luck wasn't the highest, even if it was on the same level that Einstein's genius had been.

"I will forgive you arriving late at class this one time, as I can understand the situation" she began with a casual tone to her voice, but it became colder and threatening towards the end of her sentence "But... were this to happen again, and I will assure you detention with me after class"

The last thing I wanted was detention after just getting back to school after a coma, so I nodded at her seriously while I finally was able to calm Megan down. It took a while and I had to deal with my first fictional character, but when she looked up, I knew it was worth the trouble.

"*pfft* Hahahahah, Megan, you look like a mess!" I couldn't help but laugh at her. Her eyes were puffy and the little bit of makeup she wore had ran down her face together with her tears. When she pouted at my laughter, I couldn't help but smile warmly. She was just a cute little thing.

"Alan" she said seriously while I laughed my ass off. I stopped laughing and looked at her with curiosity, as I was kind of expecting something like this, but I didn't know exactly what she would say "I love you. Please give me a chance."

I couldn't help it. I somehow just felt like I needed to protect her, to keep her by my side. So I smiled. It was a toothy grin that extended from side to side of my face. I was never the kind of kid to do things rashly but... I didn't care right now.

Since we were pretty close to the lockers, I did something I always wanted to do. I pushed her against her locker and kept her in place in a mythical kabedon. Then I closed what little distance was left between our faces, and our lips met. I think we stayed like that for a few minutes, but once it was over, she was also smiling.

"I love you to, Megan."

Once Megan had freshened up and cleaned the remnant of makeup from her face, she looked like the beautiful girl I remembered. And now that things were working just fine, I simply decided to go back to class. We both shared the same classroom, 2-A. Once we go to the door, Fiora went inside. I didn't know why she was waiting for us, but I didn't have to wait long to find out. She just wanted to make a big deal of me returning to school.

"Alright everyone! Today we have exciting news" I could hear Fiora say to the class. She seemed to be strict, but apparently she was on the side of the more friendly teachers at school "No, it's not a transfer student. It's someone who just came back from a long leave. Come in Alan!"

As I walked inside, I could hear two distinct sounds. One was the ring the System made when I earned PP, the other were the whispers of gossip my classmates were sharing with each other. Some wondering what happened to my appearance and overall body, other's looked at me with confusion evident in their faces and some seemed to be slightly jealous of me, probably because of Megan coming back to class by my side while holding my hand. I didn't really care for those few.

Overall, they received me pretty warmly, and some girls even looked at me with different eyes than they had ever done. I could definitely tell that my school-life was going to change a lot from then onwards, but that made me happy. It was what I wanted, after all.

Something did remain the same though. Classes were a bitch that I didn't enjoy, and Fiora didn't make it easier. Luckily, Focus allowed me to keep myself awake and even learn more than I would have before. Still, I decided to check the Talents List later on to plan what talents would be necessary.

To the relief of most of the class, the bell marking the start of lunch break rang. This was everyone's favourite time of the day, perhaps second to P.E. Most students would run straight to the cafeteria, but this didn't happen in my class. My classmates had the awesome idea of rushing my poor table while trying to break my ears with their incessant questions and yelling.

"Guys, guys, please calm down. I'll answer only five questions as I want to eat lunch like everyone else, ok?"

Their questions were what I expected, so I wasn't caught off-guard by them. I sued simple lies to explain a few things. Some people asked about how I changes physically, and I said it was a result of the exercise I had done during rehab. Others asked how being in a coma was and someone even threw in a joke or two about hospitals gowns having nothing to cover your backside. I silently thanked that guy as he made answering the questions a lot easier.

There was one person who really caught my attention though. Her question was unique and, in a way, what everyone should've asked. And it seemed that people realized that as some of them looked apologetic and actually said they were sorry. I made sure to note that girls name down in my memory.

"How are you doing now? Are you feeling alright?"

She looked exactly like a character from the game I had been playing a lot before the truck hit me, Genshin Impact. Jean Gunnhildr. Not too long blonde hair tied in a high ponytail with two bangs falling over each of her shoulders and a not too pronounced fringe over her forehead. Her height seemed to be around mine, just a bit shorter. Her body was also well developed, with thick thighs and a modest bust, probably a B-Cup. I feel like I don't need to make any comments on her face, which looked almost heavenly. What made me pay even more attention to her though was the fact that she had her Vision hanging from her skirt's belt. That meant she had could use her powers.

"You're... Jean, right? Jean Gunnhildr?" was all I could ask her. She was the kind who would act as a third party to solve a problem, so I wanted to get on her good side. Besides, she did actually pick my attention. She sounded genuinely concerned about me when she asked and I, for one, was sure I had no previous relationship with her, not even as "someone you know".

"That would be me, yes" I could only make blind guesses at this point, but I would learn everything I needed to with time. It was frustrating. So I did what I had decided to do and almost forgot. Let go. I will act how I want and feel no more over thinking things "I'm fine, thank you for asking, Jean. Perhaps you would like to eat lunch with me and Megan?"

It was due time that I began enjoying myself however I wanted.

If anyone wonders how Megan looks, well... just imagine Kosaki Onodera. There will be no characters from Nisekoi in this fic so I can do what I want.

Fiora is a character from League of Legends, and in this fic she will appear in her Headmistress Fiora skin.

Jean is a character from Genshin Impact, a very new game.

Sorry for the late chapter guys, I've been playing Genshin Impact like crazy. I reached Adventure Rank 23 in like 4 days.
