The horrible make-up

"Your Highness? What are you looking for?" Lin Yi asks, following a petrified Yi Hua looking around and going through her stuff.

"Where is he?!" She questions, kneeling down and checking every nook and corners, along with the drawers inside her room.

'Did he leave me all alone?'

"No… he wouldn't do that." She mutters to herself, shaking her head no, "Your Highness-"

"Yi Yi, I need to go out and look for something. You go and take a rest." Yi Hua says, ignoring Lin Yi's words and attempts to talk, Lin Yi runs after Yi Hua not sure if Yi Hua was in trouble.

Lin Yi runs to the door, "Your Highness! Your Highness-"

Yi Hua turns around, halting on her step and startling LIn Yi, "I asked you to take a rest. Do not follow me!" Yi Hua snaps, Lin Yi gulps, startled and taken aback with Yi Hua's sudden outburst.

"Y-Yeah…Your Highness." Lin Yi mumbles, bowing her head and remaining frozen on her feet, Yi Hua still troubled with Lu Yang Yang's sudden disappearances, she runs out leaving Lin Yi to herself, what just happened.

Yi Hua clutches the frills of her robe as she lifts them up to not be hindrance on her steps, speeding up she checks her surroundings, she goes to the back-side of the pavilion and she gasps in surprise.

"Oh my…" She mutters, her steps slowing down as she takes in the sight of her surroundings, not just ordinary but a serene one.

The pavilion was elegantly reflected in the water, the water in the pond which was situated just in front of her, not to mention the paved path in meandering circulation connecting the way to the pond and the other that separates in a distance, one out of the pavilion area and the other that leads to what seemed like a park.

"I never knew… this place was so magical." Yi Hua mutters, taking in her surroundings.

Not to mention the colorful foliage and trees covering during the spring and during the winter the pond will be studded with lotus blooms , also the connecting bridge crafted with wooden planks seemed very scenic.

"I- I need to look for him first." Yi Hua says, looking away being a very difficult thing, she clutches the frills of her robe tighter as she looks around, swiftly before she continues walking out of the pavilion.

Not only was her pavilion beautifully decorated and managed but the other pavilions she came across in search of Lu Yang Yang were equally beautiful and peaceful.

No wonder, the people in the past did focus on peace and beauty to maintain such a miniature of nature, itself.

Her steps halt as she sees Lu Yang Yang floating around with a dejected and sulky face, Yi Hua takes in a deep breath, calming her swirling thoughts of being alone, she scowls at the way he left her worried.

She approaches him, looking around making sure the one working around wouldn't find her going crazy, "You!" Yi Hua whisper-shouts as she stands before him, Lu Yang Yang flinches and shifts away.

He looks up, surprised, "Oh, what are you doing here?" Lu Yang Yang asks, acting uninterested and stern while Yi Hua rolls her eyes, "You, follow me. Right now." She says, watching the maids turn their heads and look at her.

"What?" She mutters, scowling at the maids and glaring at them, the maids widen their eyes and scurry away, Yi Hua huffs, grabbing her robe up she looks to her side, "I want to have you after me." She mutters, walking back to her pavilion.

Lu Yang Yang cluelessly follows around, not used to her bossing him around, not after asking him to wait for her return inside the chamber and getting lost for the whole day, forgetting about him.

Yi Hua nods her head walking straight to her chamber as the maids and workers pass by her, bowing their heads down. Yi Hua walks through the corridor and enters her chamber, closing the door shut.

Lu Yang Yang passes through the closed door and remains still, looking her up with his puppy eyes and pouty lips, "Why did you go missing? Did know even know how much I freaked out not having you here-"

"I was lonely… so I went out for a troll." Lu Yang Yang says, avoiding looking at her, scoffing inside as he listens to her scolding him after having ignored his existence the whole day.

"But I had to be out and I can't bring you along. If I see you… I ended up talking to you." Yi Hua says, trying to touch him but her hand moves past him, Lu Yang Yang looks at her with doe eyes.

"It won't change the fact that you forgot about me. You could at least have dropped by once to check on me." Lu Yang Yang mumbles, sulking.

"I was working, Yang Yang. Why are being so child-"

"I am sorry, you just work. I will excuse myself." Lu Yang Yang says, turning around and attempting to move past the door but Yi Hua comes before him and shouts, "NO!"

He widens his eyes and then frowns, "And why are you shouting this loud?" He grumbles, shaking his head in disbelief, Yi Hua awkwardly grins and kneels down, "My cute little baby-"

"I am not a baby, I remember I told you I have lived for thousands of years." Lu Yang Yang scoffs, rolling his eyes and turning to the other side, "Hmmm." Yi Hua trails, walking around and facing him.

"Are you mad at me?" Yi Hua asks, pouting while Lu Yang Yang sadly eyes her and looks away, "Don't be! I got lots of things done, if only you were there to see, I was also-"

"Yeah, the thing is you don't want me to be." Lu Yang Yang says, heaving a sigh, knowing very well he was being childish when there was no way his unseen body would get any acknowledgment.

"I am sorry. Yang Yang, I think it's time you look for a body again." Yi Hua says, smiling slightly, "I promise, I will carry you everywhere and talk to you. I won't care if people give me looks for talking to a pet." Yi Hua says, kneeling before him.

"You are serious?" Lu Yang Yang tilts his head, Yi Hua nods her head, grinning while Lu Yang Yang smiles.

"I think that too." He mutters, giggling.

"But why would you take so long? I found you on my way- I mean I was looking for you." Lu Yang Yang says, raising a brow and inquiring about her, "Ma, she wanted to lock and hide me somewhere and use Lin Yi as the Princess Yi Hua in front of the demon." Yi Hua says, huffing and sitting down comfortably on the ground.

"What?" Lu Yang Yang asks, "Maybe that won't be a bad idea." Lu Yang Yang says, earning a scoff and disbelief eye roll, "No, except the fact that you will not be locked. Stay by her side because the demon did deny to marry the Princess. I believe she will also be safe." Lu Yang Yang says, thinking to himself, out loud.

"And I will not?" Yi Hua asks, frowning.

"We can't take risks, you know. All we can do is avoid it, why don't you both do horrible make-up, then?" Lu Yang Yang asks, laughing. Yi Hua shakes her head and laughs along with him.

""Better go and look for a body." Yi Hua says, eyeing him through the corner of her eye and controlling her laugh.

"Just imagine, the make-ups the people in your period do. Those in scary movies and ugly girl- characters." Lu Yang Yang says, laughing as he recalls all the moments he noticed that when they observed Yi Hua all those years and enjoyed movie-night with her without her knowledge.

Yi Hua laughs out loud, "I will think about that but for now go and find yourself a good body." Yi Hua says, pushing herself up from the floor while Lu Yang Yang laughs, nodding his head he floats out of the door.

Yi Hua continues laughing as she recalls his words.
