Escaping out of the chamber

"Why are you here?" Shi Lian asks, raising a brow and watching Hu Ying make her way inside the room, "I have something to talk to you about." Hu Ying says, smiling slightly making sure it seems genuine.

"And that is?" Shi Lian questions back, still suspicious of the queen's arrival in her chamber, "I heard… Tao Tao is eager for marriage." Hu Ying says, tilting her head to the side and sitting in front of Si Yan on the soft cushion.

"What? What do you mean?" Shi Lian asks, intimidated by the queen's words, "I said Tao Tao is also of age, she has been seen around men. Don't know how these rumors surf around." Hu Ying says, shrugging off and smiling at Shi Lian.

Gritting her teeth, Shi Lian rolls her eyes, "No wonder Your Highness busies herself all day with the gossip and rumors, I mean why would this rumor go around when nothing like that is true?" Shi Lian says, forcing out a smile.

Both glaring at each other through that forced smile on their face, "Okay, let's just not think like that." Hu Ying says, crossing her arms and watching Shi Lian.

"Then?" Shi Lian mutters, crossing her arms as well.

"No, I mean my daughter is getting married to the demon lord. I think we should find someone noble and marry Tao Tao off, together." Hu Ying says, nodding her head at her own words.

"And why are you so happy about your daughter being married to a demon? And for my daughter, I can find someone very noble." Shi Lian says, scoffing and smirking as she gives a pitiful look to Hu Ying.

Hu Ying controls her anger and chuckles, "What isn't there to be happy about? He is not just any ordinary demon. He is the king of demons and that makes my daughter the Queen of demons." Hu Ying says, despite sounding so mighty and alluring to ears, that she didn't want her daughter to be surrounded by demons who could hurt her.

"What do you want to say?" Shi Lian asks, getting lured into Hu Ying's words and plan.

Hu Ying snickers, "I mean who wouldn't want the power? The demons might change their mind and want to destroy us but at least my daughter will rise by the demon king." Hu Ying says, pretending so satisfied and proud.

"So you should now look for someone who can protect your daughter if something like that happens. Maybe protect you and your family clan too." Hu Ying says, shaking her head and giving Shi Lian the obnoxious look with a grin.

Shi Lian frowns, Hu Ying's words roaming around her, "Why are you so happy about it? It's not like the demon lord is coming here to marry your daughter. I heard he wished to search for a bride for himself. Who knows he might fancy our Tao Tao?" Shi Lian says, smirking.

"Oh my, as far as I know, Your Majesty wants our Hua to be the Queen of demon land." Hu Ying says, pretending to be offended, Shi Lian, rolls her eyes and chuckles, "If you remember, Tao Tao is also a royal. If the demon king fancies Tao Tao then who would stop?" Shi Lian adds, chuckling and shaking her head.

'Yes, make sure you use your daughter for the power you wish and I will just protect my daughter.' Hu Ying thinks to herself, "If that's what you think then let's just see who the demon lord wants."

Hu Ying says, standing up and dusting off her robe, "Yeah, we will see that." Shi Lian says, gritting her teeth, "But also, keep looking for a man if she can't sway the demon's heart." Hu Ying comments, smirking as she makes her way towards the door.

Shi Lian grits her teeth, "I can say the same for you!" Shi Lian shouts, throwing the hand fan she had on her hand all this while, she scoffs and looks at the door which closes after Hu Ying walks out, "Let's see who remains with the big talk."

Shi Lian takes in a deep breath, "Maids! Have someone fetch Tao Tao here!" She screams, with a faint "Yes, My Grace." Shi Lian leans against the table by her side and heaves out a sigh.

The next day

"What do you mean that I am not allowed to walk out of my room?!" Yi Hua shouts, banging on the door hard, "Yi Hua you seem to be grounded." Lu Yang Yang mutters, landing on the floor and grabbing her robe.

"I know I am grounded but why are they not letting me out of the room?" Yi Hua snaps, Lu Yang Yang heaves out a sigh and shakes his head, "I meant to say you are grounded inside your room."

"Right and I am curious to know- what?!" She screams out loud, "No, they can't do this to me!" Yi Hua groans, getting angrier, Lu Yang Yang shrugs off and floats out of the chamber.

"Yah! Why are you leaving me all alone?!" She asks, banging the door harder as she cries out in despair, "What do I do?" She groans, walking back and forth, biting her lip and thinking to herself of ways she can use to get out of the room.

"It's really suffocating me! I need my freedom and peace. Why would they just ground me?" She asks, complaining to herself as she roams around the room, "I need to go out. I need to find things against Gu Chen, that bastard!" She snorts, placing her hands on her hips.

"And why did that idiot leave me all alone?" She says, raising her hands high up in the air, exclaiming in rage and impatience, "I need to get out." She mumbles, determined.

"I will get out." She adds, turning around and walking to her closet, taking out the plain robe to hide her identity, she changes into it and looks for the windows.

She takes a long shawl, puts it on her head, and tries to push off the windows which were weirdly shut. She walks to all the windows and grins when the corner window opens leading her to the back of her chamber.

"This is what we call luck." She says, snickering. She climbs up the window and dusts off her hand, ready to escape out of the chamber she has been locked in.
