It Can Even Raise Your Potential To A

As the roulette gradually came to a stop, the group of six stared at the ball with anxiety showing clearly in their eyes.

""Yes!""

The lady and the man who had betted on it stopping at red said simultaneously, each having happy expressions at the thought of the money they had on them not getting consumed but increasing.

Sighing, Leon looked at the ball for a while before shaking his head –subtly happy that he had not decided to stake all he had won on it.

"We win some and lose some I guess," Leon said, sparing the blue-mohawked youth a glance.

Currently, Blue Mohawk was crying his eyes out as he kept on whining about how his gang leader would torture him for losing a huge chunk of their funds instead of increasing it like he was meant to do.

With memories of his time with his close friends flashed through his eyes, Leon chuckled lightly as he remembered them saying that protagonists usually had something called plot armor.

They could buy an extremely cheap Giant Lizard egg and it would turn out to be a fearsome Genesis Dragon.

"Too bad I don't have that," Leon said, letting out a hollow laugh and taking his eyes off the blue-mohawked youth whose eyes looked like he wanted to end it all right now.

Author's note- End it all can also mean suicide.

Tucking his hands into his pockets, Leon gave the dealer a nod before walking towards the gambling dens exit.

Although he still had a lot of time before he was meant to meet the square-faced ugly man, Leon thought he should stop while he was ahead to avoid losing everything he earned.

And spending those few hours in this den would just lead to more temptation with it being foolish if he wasted the little time he had.

After he took a step out of the den, Leon inhaled a breath of fresh air before gazing at the individuals who sat beside the den –all looking like they had lost their will.

It was clear what happened to them and soon more would also find themselves stuck in such a situation if they couldn't control their greed.

Sparing them a glance, Leon lightly shook his head before he began walking towards the exit of the red light district.

On his way there, he had checked whether he would see the lady who had directed him toward Lord Kraken's Mine alas he didn't find her.

It was either she had closed for the day and thus had gone home or she had found a customer to spend the night with.

Inclined to believe that the latter was the case –since it was a known fact that girls who do the night job were practically busy all night long, Leon continued walking while checking the contacts on his Holo watch in hopes of finding something about her.

Unfortunately even after Leon had checked the 155 contacts that the previous body's owner had he didn't find anything.

Shelving those thoughts for later, Leon ignored the girls who were flirting with him as he walked out of the red-light district.

Immediately heading for the subway that was close by, Leon bought a ticket that would take him to the Olivsling district which was where he lived.

Ttssss...

About fifteen minutes after he had bought the ticket, a sleek-looking train that had the aerodynamic design of a bullet train stopped in front of the pedestrians who wanted to board it.

Its lengthy body was coated in a white metal that seemed grayish when the lights in the subway shone on it and in between the white plates were green crisscrossing lines which seemed to radiate a life of their own as occasionally someone would catch a glimpse of some form of energy moving with it.

Amazed, Leon stared at the magnificent train before him with awe visible in his eyes.

In his past life, he had seen quite a lot of trains and all of them looked pretty neat but they all seemed like scrap metal when he compared them to the one before him. Hell, the more he stared at it the more he felt that he shouldn't have compared them.

Ding...

A bell chime rang out, signaling for those on board to alight while breaking Leon out of his amazement.

Walking into the train after seeing that people had stopped coming in, Leon sat on a seat that was relatively close to the door.

Ding...

With the bell chime ringing for the second time, the train's door closed as the air in the train seemed to become more humid –subtly calming the minds of those who were seated on the train.

"It's advised that all passengers put on their seatbelts to prevent complications during travels. The government wouldn't be responsible for anything that befalls you due to you ignoring the rules. Have a safe trip."

A deep masculine voice resounded from the speakers in the train, grabbing the attention of all present from young to old.

Well, it did grab the attention of the children present but they pretty much ignored what he was saying and continued playing around.

As the clicking sounds of seat belts and mothers calling their children filled the air, Leon closed his eyes as he leaned into the chair.

From what he had heard, they said the train would be traveling at supersonic speed and would take a relatively short time.

Soon the red lights that lined the train's floors instantly turned green as the train seemed to tremble slightly the projection of a woman who was wearing a classy suit appeared before them.

"In other news, Alli Rae Dunn, the most talented youth in the whole of the Human Race has been selected to visit the Saldorians in hopes of keeping peace between both races."

"Austin Illumina..."

Unbothered or just unconcerned by the things going on in this world, Leon kept his eyes closed all through the journey that lasted for about fifteen minutes.

Making his way off the train, Leon checked the time on his Holo watch, and just as he had expected he still had quite some time before he needed to meet up with the man.

Grrrr...

His tummy grumbled as he made his way out of the subway, protesting against Leon's unfair treatment. Since he had woken up in this world, Leon hadn't eaten any good food as he had only eaten the snacks that were left by the previous Leon.

From waking up to getting chased away by his family having his shitty potential appraised and finally going to the red light district, Leon's schedule had been so busy he was eating snacks that couldn't nearly satisfy him.

"I guess I've found a way to waste more time." He sighed, looking at the stars that were shown in the night sky while walking towards a restaurant not far away.

Well, it couldn't exactly be called a restaurant as it was an open space with plastic tables and chairs in it.

A few customers could be seen drinking or eating the food they were served on their seats and judging by their expression it could be said that the food was very tasty.

Taking a seat, Leon called for the waiter and said. "Give me an average-sized meal not worth more than 1,500 AC. I'll wire the payment."

"Alright." The waiter said, looking at the weird man who just asked for a meal without checking the menu.

Although he was curious, the youth was able to restrain his curiosity after he remembered his mum telling him that he should never question some men as he might end up on their bed.

Rather young and innocent, the boy had no clue what his mother meant but he thought he should listen to her.

After waiting for a few minutes, the waiter was back with his food and had a small smile on his young face as he served Leon.

"Thanks," Leon said, unbothered by the weird gaze the boy was giving him he began eating.

Staring at the weird man for a while longer, the boy walked away while thinking about what his mother meant.

Done with his meal, Leon stood up from where he was seated as he began walking toward where he met the man earlier today and it took him roughly three minutes since it wasn't too far away.

"Hope you haven't been waiting for too long?" Leon asked the man, walking toward where the man stood.

"Na I just got here." The square-faced man shook his head and then added. "You're with the cash right?"

"I wouldn't be here if I didn't have the money," Leon responded, looking at Square face like he had a few loosened screws for asking such a question.

"Anyway here you go." Square Face said, handing the serum over to Leon.

Checking it for a while, Leon sent 20,000 AC to the man's account whole saying. "This better not be fake."

"Don't worry it's the real deal." Confirming the payment, the man raised his brows and said. "It can even raise your potential to A if you use it continuously."

With a smile spreading across the man's face when he saw Leon's surprise, a dark plan on how to milk the young man of the rest of his funds blossomed in his heart.
