The king's sword

Sebastian was the type of person who could adapt to any situation. He was trained to do so. However, after the disappearance of his king that day, he had a hard time grasping the situation.

Ever since he was young, his father used to tell him that he was born to fight and protect his country. For a long time, his mother thought that her husband had finally gone delusional, although she did not oppose the training that the boy had undergone from a fragile age.

After all, she thought it would be useful for him to know how to protect himself if he needed to. However, she prayed every night for her children to not have to go through the horrors she and her husband experienced during the war.

Sebastian was living with his parents and younger sister on a small island. In the village they were living in, everyone knew each other. His father was a shepherd, but he had the chance to have a better education than most of the other islanders.

When he was younger, he was sent to be part of the military troops for four years. There, he stood out due to his strong figure and quick reflexes. He was sent to a military school and he had a bright future in front of him. He met his wife on the battlefield as well. She was working as a military doctor. He liked to joke that she was the main reason for his courage. He was not afraid to get hurt because it gave him a chance to see her again.

Although their story seems sweet, the rest of the four years were some grueling ones.

After the war was over, they decided to return to Sebastian's father hometown in order to finally live a peaceful life. They found joy in raising their children and they hoped that was how they would live for the rest of their lives.
