I can talk now, so what?

Time flew by, and now I can walk, although I still stumble. As the years passed, I got the hang of speech; I can even say my name now! And if that wasn't all, I like my new life! Everyone around me calls me cute, which, of course, I am. I'm a baby, after all! Moving on, even though I can walk now, Mother rarely lets me go outside unless she takes me out to walk; from what I can see outside my window, the buildings and architecture around me are not from my time; everything looks so middle age, even my clothes and everyone else's. 

So, remember what I said about wanting to play video games?! ahaha! Forget about it now! I found something much more fabulous! There's this thing my dad bought me a little while back, and it's fantastic! A little doll and a doll house! Amazing! I have tons of fun with just these things! Wait a minute, what do you mean boys don't play with dolls!? Duh, did you forget I'm a girl now?, somehow even though I was a man in my previous life, in this one, my feelings towards some things have changed a lot; I no longer find things like soldier figures or women's bodies that attractive, sure I was happy when I saw moms naked tits for the first time but as time goes by, I just don't find interest in women I have found, oh no!, does that mean I'm no longer authentic me? What changed? I don't know. 

Regardless, that's unimportant; what matters now is finding out as much as possible, so I started questioning Mom and Dad about everything. 

However, while being cautious, I still don't know if it's normal for kids to be so curious or if they know about reincarnations at all. What will they do if they find out I'm a reincarnation?! Will they just abandon me?! Oh no, what would I do then?! Die!!! No, me doesn't want that!.

What am I even thinking about? Ugh, dumb stuff; of course, there's no way they would abandon such a cutie pie like me! eh?!, what!?, me being narcissistic?! Shut up! I'm not, I swear!

Walking and wandering around the house, I found a chest in my parents' room, and when I opened it! Jackpot! is a book! Look at it, it's ginormous! Or I'm too small; whatever the case is, this book is so interesting! It has all sorts of incredible drawings of fire, water, and other elements. There it is again; this language is definitely not English writing. Still, I can read it like it was; weirdly, I don't know what writing system this is, but if I concentrate and try to read it, all the text in this book suddenly appears in English, like some sort of overlay. The original text. Soooooo, let's dig a bit into this book, uhh? uuuh?! UUUUUHHHH!?

So that was why the lady was chanting the spell. To invoke any magic, you must chant the complete spell before it activates. Oh, I see. I wonder if I'm old enough to do this myself, so I dig into the book a bit more until I find what seems like a harmless spell, so I begin!

Come on, I got this, hands forward like that lady, uhm uhm! Got it, then begin the chant. May the god of water bless us and grant us her blessing! Water ball!!! As soon as I finish the chant, something starts flowing from my body, from my core to my hands, making a tiny flash appear followed along by a gigantic ball of water!!, what the!!?, wait, this was supposed to be a small thing. Wait, no!!! ahhhhh!!. I can't control it, oh no, oh no, mommy!!!!

Splat and then crack, boom, and at the end, Splash!!!! Right through the wall and straight towards Dad! Please forgive me, father!! TwT.

As soon as I made a hole in the wall, Mom came rushing up the stairs, breaking into the room, all worried about me; not seeing the book yet, she grabbed me and comforted me as Dad came rushing in while carrying his unsheathed sword.

"What was that? A monster?" Dad said in a daze. "I don't know, darling, but I found Yui here. I thought it was you!" Mom replied after seeing Dad all sweaty. "Don't be ridiculous. I wouldn't destroy the house!" I mean, he wouldn't do that, of course, because it was me soooo.

Then my mother looked down at me, and when she did, she noticed the book, crap! She's totally caught me; oh fuck I was so scared about getting out of control that I forgot to be more cautious! No, wait, wait, why is she looking at me like that? Oh no, please, why are you looking so smug now?! Don't say that, oh no! Do they like to kill kids that break magic rules or something? Please, anything but that, don't kill me!!!

"Yui, have you been reading this book out loud, darling?" Oh no, there it was, that look again. Dismiss her suspicion, Yui, you got this. "ahh, uhhmm, yes, Mom, I'm sorry." Ah! That was a terrible answer. I am fried. "Yui..." Oh no, Dad, as well. "See! I told you, darling! Our daughter is a genius! She conjured a spell alone without guidance!" What? Mom wouldn't kill me and fry me up like a chicken? My thoughts, of course, were quickly interrupted by Dad. "That's impossible to believe, but it happened alright." I better make this right and appear like I didn't know what I was doing! "I'm sorry for destroying your room, Mom and Dad!" Yes! Apologize, and look like I didn't know any better. "Don't worry about it, baby. Your daddy will fix it. Oh my gosh, you're so cute." Ehehe, keep the flattering comments coming. Mom flatter me some more. Phew, I got out of that close one somehow.

Days have passed since then, and while I'm glad nothing wrong happened, my parents have been more engaged with me than ever. My dad even said he would look for a teacher to teach me proper reading and writing, but more importantly, magic!

I can't wait for that.
