I must kill the man I love.

******************** Rye knew the exact moment his gaze slid down her face to her chest, as he leaned closer until she could feel his breath on her neck. Hot and steamy sending shivers down her spine as she felt him lean his muscles against her bosom. “You want me! You can deny it but I can feel it through the bond we share,” “Klas!” Rye gasped pushing against him with her eyes closed. Her eyes snaped open, shocked to feel him pull away something she was convinced he would never do. “FINE!” His deep voice echoing through the desolate mansion they stood in, after he sent all the servants off. “I’ll give you five seconds to leave Rye. After that, if you’re still here, I’ll make you regret ever pushing me away.” “One…” “Wha-what?” “Two…” Rye knew she should leave. Sleeping with Klas was something she had sworn never to do. They were just using each other. She needed his blood, and he needed her to remove the chains that bound his powers. Yet, the pleasure that thrummed through her body when he had kissed her was unforgettable. “Four…” In a panic, Rye finally found the strength to move but by then it was already too late and she saw it in his eyes just as she moved to walk past him. A cruel glint that made her wish she left when she had the chance to. “Five…” *************** The plan was for the both of them to work together and get what they wanted. Him-the throne. Her- the blue stone that would send her back to the human world. Rye had no idea when the plan changed and less how to adjust to it.

Chapter 7: The auction{+18}

Rye shivered from the cold the second she got into her cage, naked as the day she was born.

Too embarrassed to do anything but bend awkwardly to cover herself.

Yet underneath the embarrassment was a flaming anger, one she hid in the deepest part of her heart.

'All I have to do is get through this' she thought as she saw the others' cages being wheeled out towards the stage one after the other.

The hall was empty, but Rye was convinced that the guests would soon begin to arrive.

She had just drifted off to sleep when she suddenly heard a soft commotion of footsteps.

Her eyes had barely flickered open when she was blinded by the lights turned in her direction.

It was blinding and Rye shut her eyes tightly to stop herself from being blinded by it.

'What the hell are they trying to do?' she wondered only to understand when she heard the voice of the person who seemed to be the auctioneer.

"Good evening ladies and Gentlemen. Today, we have the finest breeds of humans you've ever seen,"

"I just heard from the manager of Batch 4 and he assured me that these are nothing like the commoners we caught a century ago!"

"According to the information we got from the grade 1 humans, He sent his men up their skyscrapers just to get them," The auctioneer continued speaking.

He wore a red outfit and his eyes looked extremely amiable as he spoke, with a tone that dripped with sincerity.

One meant to persuade the guests to believe him.

"Anyways! These humans are ripe for the picking! One after the other, they would be wheeled forward for your appraisal."

"Please, God! Please let me get a good master!"

"Oh God! Let me be sold to a good person!"

"As long as it's someone that won't mistreat me," the people in the cages begged one after the other with tears in their eyes, unable to open their eyes to look around.

Rye at first wondered how they got to such a stage but at the same time had no other choice but to also make the same prayer.

I also need a good master if I'm to somehow escape from this world.

"Bring in the first human!" the auctioneer ordered, and Rye heard the sound of someone not too far away from her being pulled and dragged forward.

'I'm much closer to the front than I thought,'

"Beautiful isn't she? I specially arranged them myself. Her looks aren't the only thing worthy of admiration. Her body looks just as sweet and delicate," the auctioneer slowly began to describe to Rye's disgust.

"I can bring her out of her cage anytime once the bidding starts. All you need to do is show enough interest,"

"For her, bidding starts at a hundred gold coins," The auctioneer announced in a louder tone.

Rye didn't know about the monetary value of the kingdom she found herself in but from the silence that ensured the moment the price was mentioned, Rye could tell that it wasn't a small fee.

"Yes! 200 gold coins to the woman over there!"

"Three hundred anyone?!"

"Three hundred! Yes, from the other gentlewoman over there!"

'I can't believe we're being sold right now,'

"Four hundred!"

"Four hundred and 50? She is beautiful enough isn't she?"

Rye sat in her cage, as she listened to the first person be sold. Her cage opened before she was pulled forward over to the person who bought her.

But Rye had just heard her step out when she heard her gasp aloud in fear.

Rye was almost tempted to open her eyes again and brave the danger of the blinding light that was bound to assault her.

The second girl wasn't any different and by the third Rye was dying of curiosity to know exactly why each of them suddenly gasped.

But she didn't have to wait long before her turn arrived.

"Now, I know this one isn't as easy on the eyes as the rest, hence the last position but her red hair makes up for it," the auctioneer announced.

Whatever thoughts had been on Rye's mind instantly flew out as she turned to glare in the auctioneer's direction even if she couldn't see him.

'Did this moth********* Just call me ugly?'

"We'll start from 80 good coins for this one. She looks like she still has a little life in her,"

Hearing his words Rye hurriedly lowered her face, to show fear. It was already bad enough that her price had been lowered.

Being declared as having a spunk of life wasn't a good thing since it meant that most of them would be dying to break her.

"150 gold coins! To number 59, the young man over there!"

"Three hundred! That was unexpected!"

Rye could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she listened hard to the auctioneer.

Whosoever bought her would determine what would happen to her.

'If he's a psycho like the other Reds then I'm fucked!'

"Four hundred anyone? You might not think she's worth it but with that hair color imagine the aesthetically pleasing kids you could get if you breed her with a human male!" The auctioneer continued, while Rye did her best not to show any emotions on her face even if all she would have liked to do was strangle him.

"Four hundred? YES! Three hundred and fifty," He announced with a lick of excitement in his tone as he smashed a hammer on the table in front of him.

"Sold to Number 223 at the VIP lodge!"

Rye couldn't help the instant frown that flashed across her face. Most of the other girls had been sold to the people in the VIP section but she had simply assumed that she wouldn't be part of them.

Before she could think of anything else she heard the door of her cage rattle open. Someone grabbed her arm pulling her out.

Rye instantly attempted to open her eyes, glad to see that the light was no longer focused on her as she was pulled down through the aisle.

Rye gasped in shock, her eyes widening ever so slightly the moment she could make out the faces around her. Everyone looked beautiful and none of them looked like they were older than their thirties.

The communal factor they all had was the red color of their eyes.

Rye wanted to continue looking but before she could do so, her head was pushed down, with the guard that accompanied her barking in her ears.

"Idiot! Look down if you cherish your life!" he hissed into her ears as he dragged her up the stairs to the second floor where she was bound to meet her master.

Rye was worried, wondering who her new master was going to be, yet the second she got upstairs, the first set of people her eyes settled on weren't the people sitting but the people standing around them.

'What are those metal chains around their necks?' Rye wondered, wondering why it had a blue hue to it that made it look slightly magical.

"Your slave has arrived, Magnimus!" The guard said bowing a little as he came to stand beside the seat of a young man with extraordinarily handsome features.

For a second Rye almost forgot to breathe, only to remember what she was to do at the very last second, just before the guard moved to push her to the ground.

"My-my lord!" Rye stuttered dropping to her knees and bowing her head in greeting.

"Obedient and smart! They did say you guys were better. I can't wait to see the reaction that would give you the right to wear my collar," Magnimus spoke, his voice smooth and alluring.

So much so that for a split second, Rye almost mistook it for kindness, but the memory of what happened at the bath had been permanently burnt into her skull.

'I'll be foolish to believe him!' Rye thought to herself as she lowered her head a little more than before.

The guard was dismissed and he got up and left but Rye didn't dare to even after she was abandoned on the floor she knelt on while the auction continued.

Without showing any form of displeasure, Rye continued to kneel until about an hour later when the auction was done.

But the auctioneer had barely said his goodbyes when she heard a scream from a far corner of the room one that seemed to pierce right through her.

"AHHHHHH! It hurts!" A woman cried, screaming at the top of her voice.

"Such an impatient bastard! That's why I don't like to come to such a backward place," Magnimus said, and Rye did her best not to react even though she couldn't stop her hands from trembling.

Magnimus had gotten more slaves apart from her and just like her, they knelt beside her but even without raising her head, she could tell that he was looking straight at her.

"I might as well start. I have a couple of places to be!" Magnimus sighed.

"Lift your heads!" he ordered, and Rye had barely raised her head to look when she saw her new master point at the slave beside her.

"You'll go first. You'll show the red hair how it's done," He softly said beckoning for the girl to come closer.

In front of him was a small metal table, and the longer Rye stared at it the more worried she became as she began to hear noises echo throughout the hall, disturbing ones.

"Come! Strip and bend over the table!"

At that point Rye's expression instantly turned into an alarmed one, her eyes glancing around quickly looking for an escape route.

She had just turned to look back at her new master when she noticed the way he looked directly at her with a smirk at the edge of his lips.

The slave who had been beckoned forward looked even more scared as she trembled in shock. She was unwilling to take off her clothes in public yet her hands moved quickly to do as she was asked.

If she didn't a guard would rip it off her, in a more painful way than before.

"Yes master," she responded taking it off until she was completely naked.

"Hurry here!" Magnimum ordered undoing the buttons of his pants in a way that showed exactly what was going to happen.

"It's impossible! He's a VIP! He can't do that here can he?' Rye wondered as a thousand questions flew through her head as she stared at the scene in front of her.

The naked woman with a bun on her head, had a pleading look on her face as she moved closer like she was commanded.

It happened so fast that Rye was convinced she would have missed it if she had blinked.

Magnimus grabbed her and pulled her down on the table. Slowly his front teeth shot out longer than the others, baring them for all to see, as he leaned forward aiming for her neck.

The light in the hall was bright enough to see a pin if one had dropped it on the black marble floors.

His teeth had barely sunk into her neck when she screamed and began to fight him, but Magnimus effortlessly held her closer to his body.

He sank his teeth deeper, using his other hand to part her legs open, where Rye heard him thrust in his lower body.
