Phoenix: Part 1

-3 days later-

Ada, Mike and I were standing on the roof of the hideout staring into the ocean. "See anything guys?" Mike says as he takes a sip of his coffee.

"I SEE SOMETHING!" Ada yelled.

"What is it?"

"Water!"

Mike then grit his teeth and slowly turned his head towards Ada, "Ada I swear to god." He said with his teeth clenched together.

"Aha, I'm joking, there's a giant bird thing far off in the distance."

"How big?"

"I'm guessing around 50 meters tall. You gonna kill it?"

"Dam straight I am. Yo rookie, check this out, got any names for it?" Mike then handed me googles and pointed towards the ocean. He then took out his notebook and got ready to write.

"I WANNA NAME IT PHIL!" Ada yelled.

Abilities: Flight

It was a large colorful bird with massive beautiful wings wearing a large necklace made of bones. The creature had red and black feathers and left a trail of ash behind it. Its claws were sharp and were abnormally long circling around.

"Holy crap is that a Phoenix!?" Ada yelled in excitement.

"Ah, ■■■t... that thing can basically regenerate its cells and shoot fire out of its mouth..."

Abilities: Flight, Fire Breath, Cell Regeneration

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT CAN REGENERATE IT'S CELLS?" I cried as I ran behind Mike.

"It means that it can regenerate cells... have you ever seen X-man?"

"OH, I KNOW X-MAN!" Ada jumped in joy raising her hand up.

"I wasn't talking to you Ada, now can you do me a favor and slow down that creature. I'm gonna make a phone call."

"Nee I wasawnt tawlking to you." Ada then presented both of her middle fingers and teleported behind me.

"Hey, you know how to use your rotation thingy properly?"

"I guess?"

"I'm gonna borrow you for a sec." She then grabbed me by the jacket and teleported right on top of the Phoenix. "DO A SPINNY THING SPINNY BOY!"

"WHAT THE HELL! WHY ARE WE ON THE BIRD."

"JUST DO THE SPINNY THING!"

"HOW?"

"JUST SAY A COOL ATTACK NAME AND DESTROY THE NECK!"

I guess I have no choice, I hope this works...

"SPIN SLAP!" I then slapped the Phoenix with my right hand.

"That's totally lame..."

The Phoenix's neck then slowly began to begin cracking. It's spine then suddenly snapped as the bird's head began to rotate. "It worked!" The Phoenix's head then spun off of the Phoenix's body flying off and falling into the ocean as the Phoenix's body then began to fall.

"STILL LAME!" Ada then teleported us back to Mike who had just ended a call.

"Did you slow it down?" Mike then chucked his phone underneath his bed.

"Sorta? We just ripped off its head." Ada then began to jump on the couch as if it was a jumpy castle.

"Well I just called Sen and Owota over here to help us, they'll be here any minute now."

"Sen?"

"Yes... that's what I said..."

"Isn't she like that super nerdy girl that controls the sun or something?"

"Um, Mike, who is Sen?" I said while tapping Mike's shoulder.

"She manages all our paperwork. Like if we accidentally destroy a building he does all the mumbo-jumbo so that we won't get murdered by an angry mob. We only bring her here when we need serious help."

"So she's like a trump card?"

"I guess you could put it that way."

"So what type of ability does she have?"

"She can do this beam thingy? I don't know, just wait till you see it."

Ada then lied down on the couch facing towards me, "I heard she can disintegrate an entire kaiju in one swoop."

"Yes that is true, but she takes a while to charge up his attacks so she needs her targets to stay still. That's why I called Owota, he's good with that kinda stuff."

"Yeah, but are you sure Owota should be doing this type of work right now? He just had a blood transfusion..."

"He's a strong guy, he can handle it for sure."

~SNAP!~

A snapping sound quickly echoed through the city. "Well, it looks like the Phoenix is back." Mike then exited the hideout and looked into the ocean. The Phoenix had its head pointed up with its mouth wide open.

"Ahaha what is the bird doing!?" Mike laughed out loud.

A glowing red ball of fire then started to form in the bird's mouth.

"Guys I'm afraid," I asked Mike.

"Dude, we legit have a person that can teleport and me, a person who can summon giant metal beams that can come out of the sky, only an idiot like Ada would be afraid of something like that," Mike yelled back.

"Jesus no need to be so rude..." I said as I stepped back.

"I AM AN IDIOT LIKE ADA AND I AM AFRAID OF THAT THING! " Ada yelled as she pointed toward the ocean.

"I'm surrounded by idiots..." Mike whispered to himself. "I've seen this before so no need to worry, Sen will be here in an hour, so we have plenty of time to relax. Just relax, we're gonna be just fine."

"You do know that the Phoenix is creating a bomb right?" Ada said as she poked Mike.

"A what now?" Mike then slowly turned towards Ada.

"Once fully charged up, that thing has the explosive power of a thermal-nuclear bomb..."

"How big is that?"

"Hiroshima times 50."

"Ah, s■■t..."
