Chapter 7: NEW SKILL IS OP + The magical Desert of Eternity

The dense and oppresive air from the cave thins as light pierced through the darkness. Each step symbolised freedom and escape from danger. I lifted my hand to cover the sudden assault of sunlight on my eyes. I really must be scared of UV radiation.. Even before I isekai'ed into Realmshaper III I avoided every opportunity to go outside from home. 

I took a moment to steady myself. Anxiety from being in the cave is beginning to fade away. I pulled out my skill book and opened it in hopes that it will cheer up my down mind.

- Skill Book: Dark Strike

Dark Strike: Sacrifice 30% of current health. Next attack will be a single target lock-on strike dealing 250% of your attack. If the target player/creature/boss is slain, player will receive 3 additional dark orbs in addition to the dark orbs dropped based on their level.

Cooldown: 2 minutes

Reborner's luck? 

I absolutely cannot believe that I got a skill that matches so perfectly with my talent. Shadow Enhance already increases my speed and attack by 175%, and now that I got dark strike, it means the max damage I can deal will be a 250% boost starting from 175% of my attack. 

And this was exactly the plan that is starting to form in my head. My next step is to level up as fast as possible using my new skill. My stocked health potions can make up for the cost of health from using the skill. I would need to collect at least 50 dark orbs before fighting the lvl 20 boss with Titanz, so I can activate my sub-skill in my talent, Shadow Enhance in the fight. Shadow enhance + Dark Strike would boost our chances of defeating the boss significantly. 

Luckily I know exactly where I can farm exp through slaughtering creatures. With a final glance back at the cave, I thanked it for generating me such a powerful skill. But now it's time to set off to the Desert of Eternity.

Every grain of black sand beneath my feet feels otherworldly light. A truly magical place indeed. They say that the Desert of Eternity got it's name from the countless souls who have wandered this land to search for something they could never find. Time seems to lose meaning here. Days blend into night and the sun never falls nor rises.

Whether this myth was true or not didn't matter to me. All I cared about was the abundance of creatures that spawn in the centre of the desert – a perfect place to grind for exp and dark orbs. My plan is simple, slaughter as much creatures as I can for the next 6 days before the one week to meet up with Titanz.
