On the azure sea, the luxurious cruise ship "Ocean Star" steadily sailed against the sea breeze.
Bai Cheng, Shengyupian, the doorman, and other employees all ran from their seats to the deck, excitedly gripping the railings and gazing out at the sea.
"Boss, this ship is so big and beautiful! How much did it cost to rent this ship?"
Bai Cheng spread her arms wide, letting the sea breeze blow through her bangs, revealing her smooth forehead. Her youthful face was filled with curiosity and excitement about what lay beyond the sea.
"No cost at all. This ship belongs to our hotel," Chen Jianhai said, lying on a deck chair with sunglasses on, sipping orange juice, his face showing a subtle smugness.
He remembered the first time he went to Xiaomajia Island; he had rented a small boat from Xiaolang. The waves were so rough that he felt seasick, and even after getting off the boat, his legs were weak for half a day. This made him dread visiting Xiaomajia Island for a long time.
Having suffered himself, he didn't want his employees to go through the same. So, last night, Chen Jianhai specifically spent 1,250 points a day to rent this ship from the system, ensuring his employees enjoyed their journey.
The luxurious cruise had everything: cakes, drinks, snacks, fish, shrimp, and even fishing tools. Learning that everything on the ship belonged to the hotel, the employees went wild with joy. Some even started a water gun fight, but the water eventually drenched Chen Jianhai.
"Stop spraying my pants!" Chen Jianhai knew well the antics of his employees. Outside of work, they always found ways to mess with him. He had gotten used to it and resigned himself to it. However, with many female employees onboard, spraying pants was a bit much.
"Got it, boss!" the employees laughed, pulling pranks and enjoying the rare opportunity.
One new employee, pulling their senior aside, asked quietly, "Is our hotel always this fun?"
The senior scoffed, "Fun? Most of the guys here have been kicked by the boss at some point. If we don't get our revenge now, when will we?"
As he spoke, the senior hid behind the new employee, extending his water gun around the new employee's arm and spraying Chen Jianhai on the back.
Hearing Chen Jianhai's curses, the senior and other employees teamed up for another round of attacks, filling their water guns and continuing the fun.
The new employee was left in awe. This luxurious cruise, this cheerful atmosphere—were they here to work or to enjoy a luxury team-building event?
…
Happy times passed quickly. After three hours, they spotted a small tip of land on the horizon.
"Almost there!" someone shouted, and all the employees, like prairie dogs, rushed to the deck to look.
"Boss, is that little house our new hotel?" A girl pointed excitedly at a blue-domed building peeking through the greenery on the island.
"Yes," Chen Jianhai answered, wringing out his wet T-shirt.
"It's so beautiful!" she exclaimed.
In the deep blue sea, a seven-story blue-domed white building stood charmingly. White walls and blue roofs blended seamlessly with the sky and sea. Pink flowers spread across the roofs and crevices, making the scene almost unreal in the misty sea air.
Disembarking from the cruise, the employees, dragging their luggage, eagerly stepped onto the beach, filled with anticipation for the seven-story building before them.
This hotel had a completely different style from Lang Ai Hotel. It invited one to sip coffee and slowly waste time while gazing at the endless sea.
Hidden speakers among the trees played pleasant instrumental music, and the gentle sea breeze dissipated the travel fatigue. Entering the hotel through the archway, the employees found themselves in a softly lit, spacious lobby with minimalist decor, instantly lifting their spirits.
"Today is a free activity day. Get familiar with the hotel and the island. Make sure to return by 6 PM for safety. Dinner will be at 6:30, and cleanup starts at 7:30. If you miss dinner, you'll have to fend for yourselves," Chen Jianhai instructed.
The employees were grateful for this rare early evening. Kitchen staff, in particular, were often the most overworked, and this arrangement let them rest early.
After briefing the employees, Chen Jianhai stood in the lobby and continued, "The island's food is pricey, so I don't recommend eating out. The conifer cherries here are delicious, though. The island also has an ice cream shop and a coffee shop, but avoid the coffee shop for now."
"The ingredients for the hotel kitchen will arrive in the afternoon. Shengyupian, please prepare the dinner."
Listening attentively, the employees felt as though they were on a guided tour.
"Boss, how do you know so much about this place?" Bai Cheng asked curiously.
Chen Jianhai mentally rolled his eyes. How could he not know? He knew every detail, even the online usernames of the island's residents!
"Just remember: safety, safety, safety!" Chen Jianhai emphasized. "And keep the island clean. Always throw your trash in the bins."
Finished speaking, someone in the crowd cheekily remarked, "Boss, you said four sentences, not one."
"Get lost! Dismissed!" Chen Jianhai barked.
"Yes, boss~~" they responded in unison.
