You're A Cunning Woman

Mirai and George recognized Odelia as Vincent's wife because they had only met each other last year. So they still remembered Odelia clearly.

"She's my wife, she's not Vincent's wife or anyone else's," Sean replied.

"B-but we met her last year and..."

"She's my wife, mine. Once again you refer to her as someone else's wife, I will end this lunch," the man said again more firmly.

Hearing that, Mirai chose to keep quiet because George forced her to keep quiet rather than Sean getting angry with them.

Odelia felt bad about the scene, but she had no choice but to sit in the chair that Sean had provided for her.

She then sat in her chair and Sean sat next to her. Sean and George talked about business, while Odelia didn't even dare to look at Mirai who was staring at her.

'She keeps looking at me as if I'm the villain here. Why do I have to meet someone who met me when I was Vin's wife?' she thought, feeling rather awkward.

Sean realized that Odelia was uncomfortable with the situation. He took his wife's hand and rubbed it gently under the table, trying to tell her that everything would be okay, and that he was there for her.

A smile returned to Odelia's face, feeling the warm embrace of her husband. She returned the hand, making Sean's heart beat faster.

"So Mrs... Osbert? How long did you meet Mr. Osbert and..." Mirai glanced at Odelia's pregnant belly. "How many months pregnant are you?" she asked.

She well remembered that when she had last met Odelia, she was not pregnant and she was very romantic together with Vincent. However, now Odelia was pregnant with Sean's child and was his wife.

'What the hell is this woman? She must be a cunning snake woman! Seducing many men for her own benefit. Just look at Mr. Osbert, TechnOzone is being talked about and it must be because of that that she moved to seduce Mr. Sean,' Mirai thought as she looked sarcastically at Odelia.

"Oh... My husband and I met a long time ago. I'm seven months pregnant, it's only a matter of time until our baby is born," Odelia replied while rubbing her belly.

"Really? Oh congratulations on that. You must be very happy because soon your baby will be born," said Mirai while trying to smile even though she actually felt that Odelia was not pregnant with Sean's child.

She thought, even if it might be Sean's child, had Odelia been cheating on Vincent all this time to be with Sean whose company was popular.

'Deliberately making love to him, getting a child and one day taking Mr. Osbert's property. What a cunning woman! But why did Mr. Osbert just keep quiet? He should have been much smarter to know that.'

Their lunch finally arrived and they began to eat their lunch together. It was noticeable that Sean was very attentive to what Odelia had for lunch. He also requested that for the servant to bring her some cold water, as he knew that she liked to drink it during the day.

She smiled, Sean knew what her habits were without her having to tell him.

"Feeling better?" Sean asked, half-whispering to her.

"Yes, I'm feeling better right now. Thank you," she replied with a smile.

He nodded and continued with his lunch. They looked so romantic together, trying to enjoy lunch. However, just like his wife, George also felt suspicious and wondered about Odelia who was suddenly now Sean's wife.

George actually thought that Odelia was a hired woman who was deliberately paid to be anyone's wife as long as they gave her money. And the child in her belly must be the child of one of her clients.

'I've never heard of Sean being close to any woman. And today he surprised me by bringing a woman he said was his wife. And today he surprised me by bringing a woman who he said was his wife. It turns out to be the same woman as the wife of the CEO of another company,' thought the middle-aged man.

After lunch, Odelia asked permission to go to the bathroom. She stood up from her chair and walked away from the table. At first Sean offered to take her, but Odelia refused.

She went into one of the bathroom stalls.

"Huft... It felt so weird earlier. It was awkward, especially since they know me as Vin's wife. I look like a slutty woman, being with two different men..." she muttered as she rubbed her stomach.

Odelia slowly stood up from the toilet and pressed the flush button. She walked out of the bathroom and put her gloves in her handbag.

As she was washing her hands, she was surprised to see Mirai who was standing behind her, staring intently at her.

"O-oh Mrs. Sanco, you surprised me. Did you just come from the toilet too?" asked Odelia kindly while washing her hands.

"You're a hired woman, huh?" she asked suddenly.

"Excuse me?" Odelia turned her head while frowning, looking at Mirai who suddenly called her that.

"You're not Mr. Osbert's real wife, are you? You're just a hired womanizer claiming to be his wife. Oh... Or you just seduced him and slept with him on purpose until you got pregnant with his child, right?"

She took a step back. "That's not true, please watch your language, Mrs. Sanco. It's not what you think."

Mirai, however, laughed dismissively, saying that all cunning and seductive women like Odelia said the same thing. In the end they were only after the money of wealthy men.

"Just tell me the truth! There's no way that last year you were still with Mr. Percy, and now you're pregnant and with Mr. Osbert! You really are a lowly slut," she said condescendingly to the ginger-haired woman in front of her at the moment.

Of course this upset Odelia, she felt that her pride was being stepped on by Mirai. She did not come from a wealthy family, but she never intended to seize the wealth that Sean or anyone else had.

"I'm not rich, but I still have the self-respect to show them that I'm not a lowly woman who is a gold digger, even deliberately flirting with them!" she said loudly and also annoyed.

At the same time, Sean was wondering why his wife hadn't returned. He looked at his watch and immediately went to find Odelia in the bathroom.

"No need to look for her, Mr. Osbert. I'm sure your wife is long since she's a woman. She'll definitely be back soon..." George tried to stop Sean from leaving, but Sean gave him a sharp look.
