4. Child, get a new life

Seraphina immediately remembered the diagrams that her mother had taught her previously and insisted that she learns them thoroughly.

It was the material that was used for her early enlightenment.

She remembered those drawings by heart and can even draw them with her eyes closed.

She immediately started drawing those diagrams on the ground by using her blood.

It was not difficult to find a sharp object inside the spaceship.

She had found a knife lying on the utility basket.

Since those masked men were away from her Seraphina decided to complete the issue before anyone intervened in this situation.

"I will definitely get away from this place."

Blood was used as the medium and heart blood will be the final key to know what was hidden in the message left by her mother.

It didn't take long for her to complete the diagram. It was finished in twenty minutes. Given the intricate and difficult symbols,it was considered fast.

It was the only thing she had learned during her sixteen years of life other than the federation's official language and basic knowledge.

She was not allowed to go out. These diagrams or the runic language was the only hobby that could help her in her boring daily life.

Seraphina used the entire part of the floor. It was a small room dedicated for hiding personnel during emergency situations.

"It's time." Seraphina was happy to accomplish something in her life without anyone helping her.

She took out the ring and broke the diamond at the centre of the diagram and set down on the spot designated for the anchor to finish the ritual.

After this, she picked up the knife and removed the cloth above her heart and brutally pierced her heart.

"Ah..!"

It was hard wrenching pain. She had never suffered this kind of pain in her life. It was already difficult for her to hurt her heart.

Finally she did this so that she could come to know the whole truth.

It was difficult yet simple for her.

"Mother, I did it."

As soon as she pierced her heart again to put the blood on the broken diamond, a bright black light flashed in the room.

Not only this but different celestial phenomena appeared around the spaceship, as if some calamity was about to rise from the depths of hell.

The masked men who were standing at their position were vigilant but this sudden change took them by surprise.

The Masked leader immediately knew this was the after effect of forbidden magic.

"Shit! What happened? Leader, we are dead."

The right hand man trembled as the spaceship shook and violent space shocks ran rampant near the room Seraphina was left behind.

All the other men were in chaos.

The leader tried to go towards the room Seraphina conducted this anomaly but aggressive lightning and space shocks were not letting him go.

On the other hand, Seraphina was tormented. It was nothing like she expected.

The pain was tearing her body apart and the broken diamond pieces came together like a vicious ghost and struck to her heart drinking her blood making it extremely painful.

Seraphina was not aware of the passing time and was about to die due to heavy blood loss.

"Ah… mother…I am…"

Seraphina was not able to even express her pain.

It was unbearable. She had no idea what to do next.

As soon as she was about to lose consciousness, a hazy figure appeared in front of her.

Seraphina remembered this figure even if her mind was not seen because of unbearable pain. It was her mother. She could see her mother laughing.

It was horrifying. Her mother was laughing like a lunatic.

"Mott..h..er…"

"Haha…haha! Oh! You poor child." Selena laughed like crazy.

"You are so obedient. Who would have known you could be this gullible? Oh, my poor sister, she must be dying in hell because of your foolishness."

"Mot…hh-heer"

Seraphina was not in her right state of mind but she still could understand the meaning behind the words.

It was confusing her.

"What do you…"

"Hush! I will tell you everything you foolish girl. So stop calling me mother. I am tired of hearing your voice. It is annoying."

Seraphina was in despair.

Why?

What did she ever do that her mother was denying her?

Why was she different from before?

"I can see that you don't understand anything. You stupid child.". Selena laughed like crazy.

"I will tell you. Don't be so stupid all the time and be a bit smarter in your next life."

"What?!" Seraphina was even more shocked.

Die!

Was she dying?

This excruciating pain was the feeling of death.

"I will tell you briefly. I'm not your mother. I am Alina, sister of Selena. The unwanted and unrecognised daughter of the previous calamity lord. It has been long since I waited for this day to come."

Seraphina was stunned. This woman standing in front of her was not her mother.

Then where was her mother?

Beside calamity lord, isn't he the great devil of the past known for his horrifying and mysterious dark magic powers?

Even if Serapina was gullible she still knew about the calamity lord.

"Where is my mum?"

"Hsh.,she died, ofcourse."

Alina smiled like a pure flower. She was truly happy with the death of Selena.

"Oh, did I forget to mention you were the one who killed her. Thank you for making it easy."

"Agh! What nonsen…se ?!"

Seraphina could not believe anything coming out of this hereticles mouth.

"You don't believe me. Why do you think I kept your life all this time? It was to thank you for your generous grace and of course to take this precious body of yours."

Alina told her all about her plans. She died so that she could possess Seraphina's body.

Afterall, Seraphina was so powerful that she was able to kill her mother who was hailed as the great sorceress of all time when her power burst before she was even 6 years old.

"You were five when the power inside your body went berserk. It was amazing. I was there to witness that beautiful scenery."

Alina touched Seraphina's face tenderly before giving her the taste of terrible pain.

"Your magic was tremendous. It was so large that Selena was not able to seal it in your little vessel. I was a good for nothing and good never practise the greatness of this dark magic. I was a normal human in this interstellar world where power rules."

Alina's twisted face was not frightening Seraphina but the truth about her mother's death was giving her no chance to breathe.

"I…I kii..ll …edd mu…m"

"Oh hush! It was a great achievement. After my father died she was the legendary dark sorceress alive. No one could beat her, not even your father, the greatest holder of the white magic. You are amazing. Your power was so beautiful that I wanted it."

This was the chance that she was waiting for.

"I didn't have to do anything. After sealing the vessels in your body Selena was weak but guess what when I was about to strike her from behind your power erupted again and the weak Selena died from it."

"You are amazing. A little baby killed the great sorceress. Do you want to know your supernatural power? I know about that too."

Seraphina was speechless. She didn't have any words for this lunatic.

"You don't want to know. Too bad, I will tell you. The power of assimilation. You are so great."

"What? Assimilation?"

Seraphina knew this rare power. The ability to collect anything and make it your own.

When humans started having supernatural ability in them due to cosmic changes there was one person who had the power of assimilation.

He became the leader of humanity and fought with other species and also won the war from the extra territorial species trying to invade the mother planet Earth.

His name was not known.

His Gender was not known but everyone assumed he was a man.

Non information about his age.

He left after the war and stabilised the world.

This power was Seraphina's natural supernatural ability.

"You are surprised. I know right. How could this power be yours? You don't have the capability to shoulder this ability. So I taught all the runic characters and diagrams to you in the hopes of seizing your body one day."

"What?"

Seraphina was angry at her cowardice. She was expecting love from this enemy who wanted her death.

She thought that even if she was not her mother she still cared about her. After all, they had spent ten years together.

"Why? W..hat di…d I e..ver do wr…ong?"

Seraphina expressed her grievances.

"Nothing. You did nothing. I may be a villain in your life but I would not lie about anything. This is happening because of your mother, the woman I hate. I just wanted power and you were the way for me to get that power."

Alina looked sad for a moment.

"I… I was like you."

Alina was depressed. She wanted to tell her story but controlled herself as this wasn't the time for a sob story.

"Anyways no one is ever interested in my life." Alina murmured. It was a tiny whisper.

" I have to take revenge for all the wrongs that I had suffered in the past. Child,get a new life and live nicely. Don't be like me."
