As Ichiro arrived at the airport, nostalgia suddenly rushed over him. Memories of the old days flooded his mind—the familiar atmosphere, the distinct sounds and smells of the place, and the serene environment. It all felt like stepping back into a time capsule of his youth.
It was already 6:00 AM, and Ichiro didn't want to waste a moment. He quickly gathered his belongings and headed home, eager to see his siblings before they left for school. The early morning air was crisp and filled with the quiet bustle of a city just beginning to wake up.
As he walked towards his home, he noticed a silhouette of a kid with spiky hair. Despite his childlike stature, the boy's serious demeanor was striking. Beside him was a girl who radiated warmth, her bright smile a clear reflection of her kind and outgoing personality. They walk across the street, seemingly in their own little world, unaware of his presence.
Ichiro's pace quickened as he approached them. His heart swelled with emotion, and a smile spread across his face. Small tears began to drip from the corners of his eyes as he took in the sight of his siblings once again. The years apart melted away in that moment, and he felt a deep sense of joy and relief.
As Ichiro drew closer, he could hear the voices of his siblings, Megumi and Tsumiki, engaged in a familiar argument. The boy with spiky hair, Megumi, had a defiant look on his face, while Tsumiki, the girl with the bright smile, wore an expression of concern mixed with frustration.
"Hey, Megumi, I heard from your teacher that you got involved in a fight again," Tsumiki said, her voice gentle but firm. "I told you that you should stop that."
Megumi scowled, visibly irritated. "Tsk, They're the ones who pick a fight first, not me."
Tsumiki sighed, her compassion unwavering despite her frustration. "But what you did is wrong. You can't beat violence with violence."
Megumi's eyes flashed with a mix of anger and exasperation. "Then what should I do in that situation? Let them beat me? If I let them beat me, I'll just boosting their egos."
"But you do know that violence is not the solution—" Tsumiki began, her voice steady yet pleading.
Megumi cut her off, his tone sharp and unyielding. "And peace is not an option.
Tsumiki's shoulders slumped slightly as she sighed, her patience being tested but her resolve still firm. "Megumi, can you please stop fighting with them? This is the third time we've been sent to the teacher's office because of a fight. And today, we have to go there again to settle yesterday's fight with a senior. Gojo Sensei won't be coming with us; he said a new student arrived, so he'll be busy for the day. We'll have to handle this on our own."
She paused, looking at Megumi with a mix of frustration and concern. "If only Ichiro were here, I'll make sure he'd really scold you."
Megumi glanced at her from the corner of his eye but didn't respond. He started to walk past her, his steps determined and defiant.
"Ahh, wait, Megumi!" Tsumiki called out, reaching for him.
*Tap*tap*tap*tap*
As Tsumiki called out to Megumi, she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around, and what she saw left her in shock.
"Ichiro!!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with surprise and joy.
Megumi, who was already ahead of Tsumiki, stopped in his tracks. Hearing Tsumiki call out Ichiro's name, he looked back. His eyes widened as he saw the familiar face of his older brother, the one who had been away for so many years. Small tears formed in his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away and hurried towards Ichiro.
"Ichiro, it's really you! When did you arrive?" Tsumiki asked, her voice trembling with emotion.
Ichiro smiled warmly, his heart swelling with love for his siblings. "Just a while ago," he replied. "And it looks like you two are doing great."
As he spoke, Ichiro's eyes were drawn to the necklace Tsumiki was wearing. The small charm he had given her before he left, now filled with cursed energy. 'Looks like the gift I gave Tsumiki worked well,' he thought inwardly, feeling a sense of relief.
"Yeah, ohh that's right, Ichiro!" Tsumiki suddenly exclaimed.
"Ye-yeah?" Ichiro replied, slightly taken aback by her urgency.
"Please scold Megumi here," Tsumiki said, looking at her younger brother, who was now walking toward them.
Ichiro raised an eyebrow, looking at Megumi with a mix of curiosity and concern. "What's been going on with Megumi?" Tsumiki sighed and crossed her arms, turning to Megumi.
"He's been involved in fights recently. Today, we have to settle it at the teacher's office with Gojo Sensei. But since Gojo Sensei won't be coming today, can you come with us instead, Ichiro?" She looked at Ichiro with pleading eyes, her hope and worry evident.
Ichiro glanced at Tsumiki, then at Megumi, who stood there with a sullen expression, clearly irritated by the situation. "Alright, I'll come with you," Ichiro said, his tone gentle but firm.
"Thank you, Ichiro," Tsumiki said, relief washing over her face. "And please, scold Megumi about the fights since he won't listen to me."
Megumi frowned, his irritation growing. "Tsumiki, I told you, they started it.and I just finished it."
"Megumi got into a fight, huh? Well, good job. That's my little brother for you," Ichiro said, a hint of pride in his voice.
Tsumiki's eyes widened in surprise. "Ichiro, aren't you supposed to get mad at him for fighting?"
Ichiro looked at her, understanding her concern. "Tsumiki, I know where you're coming from, but you can't expect Megumi to just stand still while they beat him. It may sound cruel, but sometimes the best way for those kids to learn humility is to let them taste a beating once in a while."
Tsumiki's expression turned to one of deep worry. "B-but, what if Megumi gets injured because of these meaningless fights? What if something bad happens to him?"
Ichiro saw the fear and concern in Tsumiki's eyes. He put his hand gently on her shoulder, looking at her with sympathetic eyes, and speak In a soft voice.
"Tsumiki, to make sure those things you worry about never happen, we could just give those bullies a good trauma. Or maybe we could permanently glue them to a medical bed. That would solve the problem," Ichiro said with a mischievous grin.
As soon as Tsumiki heard Ichiro's words, she immediately got pissed off. "Ichiro!! Please take this seriously!"
Ichiro raised his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, Tsumiki, calm down. I'm just joking."
He gave her a reassuring smile, trying to diffuse her anger. "But seriously, we should get going or you two will be late for school."
Tsumiki's eyes widened in realization. "Ahh! You're right. I was so caught up in the moment that I totally forgot. Let's go, Megumi."
She grabbed Megumi's arm, and they started running towards their school. Ichiro followed along, a smile plastered on his face, enjoying the familiar feeling of rushing with his siblings.
As they arrived at the school, Tsumiki hurried off to her classroom while Ichiro and Megumi made their way to the teacher's office. Upon entering, Ichiro immediately felt the heavy atmosphere. The parents of the four kids Megumi had fought were already there, their faces etched with anger and disapproval.
Ichiro noticed the piercing gazes directed at Megumi and glanced at his younger brother to see his reaction. Megumi's expression remained stoic and unchanging, a mask of calm that seemed almost defiant. He stood tall beside Ichiro, unfazed by the hostile stares as they approached the waiting parents.
One of the parents, a stern-looking man with a neatly trimmed beard, stepped forward, his eyes blazing with indignation, as he observe megumi's stoic and unchanging attitude and ichiro's carefree demeanor which Infuriates the man
A/N hey guys author here since I don't know where do they settle a fight in Japan I'm just gonna go with a teacher office.
The tall and bulky man spoke up, his voice carrying authority and annoyance as he looked towards Megumi with a critical eye.
"Hey!!! Sensei, can you do something about that problem child right there?"
Megumi met the man's gaze with an uninterested expression, seemingly unaffected by the accusation. The man then looks at Ichiro who remained calm and seemingly not giving a damn about the situation.
"Hmph!! I can see where that child gets his attitude," the man muttered under his breath, his frustration evident.
The teacher, a middle-aged woman with a calming presence, stepped in quickly to defuse the tension. "Now now, please calm down. Let's hear from the children themselves what happened, starting with the seniors."
One of the older kids stepped forward, his posture defensive as he began recounting the events. "Megumi picked a fight with us and disrespected us," he started, his tone accusing. "We tried to scold him for his behavior, but he immediately started attacking us."
Ichiro listened with growing frustration as he heard the distorted version of events from Megumi's seniors. He stole a glance at their smug faces, realizing how they had manipulated the narrative to paint Megumi as the aggressor.
'I see, so that's how it is,' Ichiro thought bitterly. 'They're making it seem like Megumi is the one at fault'
As the other parents in the room listened to the skewed story, their anger intensified. One of them, a middle-aged woman with a stern expression, turned sharply towards Ichiro. "What kind of a brother are you raising this problematic child?" she demanded, her voice sharp with accusation.
Another parent chimed in, "You clearly haven't taught him any discipline. How could you let him behave like this?"
"Your parents ought to be ashamed, what kind of a parents do you have to grow to become like this!"
The accusations came one after another, each parent taking their turn to scold and lectures Ichiro and his parents for Megumi's behavior saying that their parents should properly raise them like how they raise their children. Ichiro stood there, trying to maintain his composure despite the rising tide of irritation and anger within him.
The teacher then Interrupted them diffusing the tension between the parents and ichiro, as they calm down the teacher then ask megumi to hear what's his side of the story.
"Now then megumi Kun, would you mind telling us you sides of the story" the teacher looks at megumi prompting him to speak
The tension in the room was thick as Megumi finished recounting his side of the story. The teacher, sensing the need to manage the escalating emotions, intervened gently. "Thank you, Megumi. Now, let's all take a moment to calm down and discuss this rationally."
Ichiro, however, was seething with anger and irritation. He took a deep breath, and breath it all out.
He then looked directly at them with pure malice in his eyes, his lips curled up into a grin his voice sharp with accusation.
"What kind of parents are you!!?" Ichiro's voice cut through the room, filled with disdain. "Huh!!? What kind of values are you teaching your children? Can you even be classified as parents?"
"Your advice about parenting is like a unicorn—magical and completely imaginary. I guess leading by example was just too much effort, huh?. And thanks for the tips! I'll be sure to pass them on to someone who actually takes advice from people who don't practice what they said. And also I didn't realize parenting was a spectator sport for you. Must be nice to watch from the sidelines. Your unsolicited advice is like a lighthouse in the desert: completely out of place and utterly useless. I'll definitely consider your parenting strategies... right after I see you use them on your imaginary kids."
The parents shifted uncomfortably under Ichiro's piercing gaze, some looking down in shame, others bristling with defensiveness. The teacher started to speak, attempting to calm Ichiro down, but he held up his hand to silence her, his expression unyielding.
"Not now, sensei," Ichiro interrupted firmly, gesturing for her to let him speak. "Let me finish first."
He continued, his voice dripping with sarcasm and bitterness. "If I had a dollar for every time your parenting tips were helpful, I'd still be broke because you've never had to use them yourself."
"And you all clearly haven't taught yourselves any self-awareness. How could you think your opinion matters here?"
After Ichiro's impassioned speech, which seemed to reverberate throughout the office for a full minute, the atmosphere was tense as the parents and their children listened to ichiro's words. Eventually, they settle the fights with the children through writing about ten pages of paper back to back about saying sorry I will not do it again, the parents then went out of the room, leaving behind ichiro and megumi
Ichiro turned to Megumi with a grin, trying to lighten the mood. "That was fun, don't you think so, Megumi?"
Megumi remained silent, his expression unreadable. Ichiro sensed something was amiss and pressed gently, "Hmm? What's wrong?"
"It's nothing," Megumi replied quietly, avoiding Ichiro's gaze. "I just thought you would apologize to them, like Tsumiki does whenever I get into trouble."
Ichiro frowned slightly, processing Megumi's words. "And what's there to apologize about? They're the ones that started it, and you just finished it. I don't see the problem there."
Megumi glanced briefly at Ichiro, then looked down, a mixture of emotions flickering across his face. Without another word, he walked briskly towards his classroom, muttering a quiet "thank you" under his breath.
Ichiro watched him go, his smile fading slightly as he realized the weight of the situation on Megumi. "You're welcome," he called softly after his brother, hoping his support had been enough to reassure Megumi in some way.
