Grandpa sat there, sizing me up for a while, and sighed with a smile,
"You, you're just like your grandmother in temperament. When she was young, she was like this too. After marrying me, though, she became a lot more dependent, like a little bird reliant on a person. These days, she hasn't been idle either; she comes over to argue with me every day and even scolds me. It's as if we've returned to our youth… it's really nice. I genuinely feel at ease living here."
Seeing him trying to evade the topic with me, I wasn't in a hurry; I also engaged in the small talk…
"Haven't you ever felt even a little bit of remorse when you killed my parents, your son and daughter-in-law? If that puppet hadn't been controlled properly, I might have died too."
"No. You wouldn't have. I had calculated everything."
