Chapter 7: Faded Memories

After the heartbreaking accident, Shouta called an ambulance for her, the truck driver was later taken in the station for questioning. But Shouta will never forget this traumatic event.

"Shouta.. Are you okay? " -Shouta A

Shouta was out of words for he had witnessed the accident right infront of him. Shouta went with the ambulance to the hospital. After a while of spending time in the hospital, Shouta A, Masahiko, Kiyomi, and Kouta eventually arrived.

"Hey Shouta" said by Kouta

"Hey Kouta not now, can't you see the man is in pain, look at his eyes, they've seen things that a normal 16 year old shouldn't see" Shouta A replied

"Hey.. Shouta, I'm sorry-" Masahiko said before getting interrupted by Shouta

*grabs Masahiko's shirt*

"It's yours and Kiyomi's fault" said by Shouta

"If you hadn't been there maybe she wouldn't be in there right now, maybe it should've been you not her" Shouta added

"Hey now, Shouta calm down, I support you but this is too farfetched" said by Shouta A

"You Shouta senpai, I idolize you and everything but have actually helped me at all? You've just been in the sidelines doing nothing at all" Shouta replied

"Okay calm down both of you" said by Kouta

"And you Kouta senpai, you've just been in the way, you've also done nothing so stop acting like you did anything" Shouta replied

"I'm going inside" said by Shouta

Shouta went inside of the hospital room to go talk to Sumi. After talking to Sumi and the doctors, they've figured out that Sumi was in a coma, and when she wakes up her memories will be erased. So everyday for 3 years Shouta keeps visiting her and giving gifts, flowers, etc. He tells her stories as well and his experience at school.

*Present Day*

"Hey Sumi, It's me again Shouta, I'm back from college, and I miss you, I've been praying that you'll wake up soon, they said that they you will be considered dead if you don't wake up soon, I hope you wake up soon," Said by Shouta

Shouta kisses her forehead before he left. After 1 day after his visit he gets a sudden call from the hospital telling him she has woken up. Shouta quickly rushed towards the hospital.

"Hey you're Shouta right?" -Doctor

"Yeah I am" said by Shouta

"So her memories are gone, you do your best to make her remember. " -Doctor

"I got it Doc" said by Shouta

*Shouta entered the room*

"Hey Sumi, you probably don't remember me but I'm Shouta, and I'm here to refresh your memory" said by Shouta

"Who? " Sumi replied

"Yeah the doctor was correct, you don't remember anything" said by Shouta

"So let me repeat, I'm Shouta and I am your Friend, and you lost your memories, so I'm here to refresh them" said by Shouta

"I don't know... Who... You.. Are or who I... Am for ... That matter" Sumi replied

"I figured" Shouta replied
