Josie's trembling lips betrayed the fear etched on her face. Her once vibrant demeanor seemed drained, and the pallor of her lips mirrored the rough time she endured in Xylon's absence.
She avoided fixing her gaze on the macabre display of bodies before her, attempting to divert her attention from the disturbing scene unfolding in front of them.
Josie's words spilled out with a mixture of fear and uncertainty.
"I wasn't conscious during the last full moon. I didn't witness what transpired between you and the skyers, but somehow, I just assumed that you were going to show up... for a reason," she uttered, her voice wavering with a hint of trepidation.
Josie, recognizing the guards of the arcane mortuary, fell to the ground in shock, shaking as she shouted, "You killed them... you killed them!"
The tremor in her voice echoed the horror of the revelation…she was not even accompanied by anyone , she was all by herself .
