I don't belong here!

"How did I get caught up in this mess?" I asked myself. The only daughter of a rich and powerful family who owns several hotels. My name is Mya Chambers. When I was in elementary school, I realized that I've transmigrated into a popular romance novel targeted at young teens. The story was bland. Very bland. A commoner girl who was found to be very talented in magic enrolls into the most prestigious academy in this city and meets the love of her life. Love of her life? As if. The male lead of this story is so cliche and boring. He says cheesy lines with no second thoughts. "You are the only one for me." "Don't leave me." Disgusting. I remember reading through this entire novel and regretting it. I do not remember how I ended up in this body though. One may ask who I am. Well... I'm a side character who barely got introduced in the novel and was ignored for the rest of the story. But if I am a side character and is also irrelevant, then why is the cheesy male lead currently holding me in his arms? "She's the one I want to marry." He said with a grin on his face. Bullshit! Complete bullshit. I've never talked to you in my entire life nor had I wanted to. I don't belong here with the main characters, someone get me out of here!

01: Just right before high school...

"She's the one I want to marry," the crazy man who held me by the waist said smiling.

We were in a high-class party celebrating the graduation of many middle school students. I was simply enjoying my food alone until this strange boy grabbed me by the hand and suddenly started spouting nonsense.

There was a young lady standing right in front of us with beautiful velvet hair and yellow eyes that shined like gold. It was the villainess of the novel.

Everyone had their attention on us. I shivered due to all of the eyes looking at me.

What is going on...? Why is the male lead, no, Jayden Keller saying this?

I was just about to graduate from middle school. Mya Chambers is my name. Finding out that I've transmigrated into a shitty novel was the biggest shock of my life until today, the day I got dragged into this mess. I've never talked with him and I've never made contact with him. Why is this happening to me?

"H-Hey... get your hands off me," I said softly.

"Sorry, what?" Jayden replied.

Ugh.

As I was about to hit him with my elbow, the young lady in front of us started speaking.

"Jayden, is this why you wanted to break up?" The lady in tears asked.

Hold on... Don't tell me I'm being used right now???

"Yes, I do not love you so stop chasing me." The man responded.

"I don't believe you! There's no way you would be with Mya, that bitch!" She yelled.

"E-Excuse me?" I interrupted.

All eyes were on me now.

"Miss, you must be out of your mind lately?" I frowned.

"Ha? You snake! I thought our relationship couldn't get worse until you decided to steal my man!" The lady in front of me scorned.

I did mention that this lady was the villainess of the novel. But did I mention that she's also my enemy? This fox has always been against me no matter what I do. Last year, my father gifted me an expensive dress for my birthday which I wore to one of her parties that she held. But that day, she purposely spilled tea over that dress and said that I ruined the dress myself. Ever since that day, we've been fighting nonstop over the smallest things. The strangest thing would be the fact that our families got along so well to the point that I see her all the time. This is so annoying.

"Who would want your m-"

The boy covered my mouth before I was able to say another word. I glared at him and tried to move his hands off of me. Despite my struggles, I could not get him to budge and I was stuck in his arms. I've never been held so close by someone of the opposite gender outside of my family. If my father finds out, he will not forgive this crazy bastard.

"Michelle, we can talk later so please allow Mya and I to leave for now," Jayden said.

The young lady glared at us as we left the party.

The moment we were out of people's sights, the man let go of his hands.

*Pah!*

"What is wrong with you?" I said as I slapped him across the face.

The red-haired man in front of me looked down on me as he held onto the cheek I slapped.

I could not see his expression due to the night sky but I could feel a dark aura coming from him. Was the male lead always like this?

"Sorry." He said.

"What?" I replied.

"I had no choice. She was going overboard and I couldn't stand it anymore." Jayden sighed.

"Are you sure you're Jayden Keller...?" I asked.

The boy in front of me smiled with no emotion in his eyes.

"That's me, how can I help you miss?"

Crazy... This person is out of his mind. Where is the male lead from the novel that would say cheesy lines? Just who is in front of me?

"Compensation," I said.

He looked at me in confusion.

"I just helped you, didn't I? Even if it was not by choice." I frowned.

"Well, isn't it nice to be the girlfriend of someone like me?" He smiled.

Oh my god. I want to beat this guy up right here right now. But I probably won't make it out alive if I do that.

"Do I look like I want to be your cute little girlfriend, Mr. Keller?" I responded.

He started laughing. I don't want to be here for another second longer.

I flipped my long blonde hair and glared at him.

"Stay out of my life. And remember that you owe me from now on" I said as I quickly walked towards the car that was picking me up.

Why is a minor character like me getting involved in all of this?
