Well That's A Big No

Nogde shook his head vigorously like a child to drive away the flood of thoughts and doubts beginning to take root in his mind. He didn't have time to let go of suspicions about his protege's icy behavior, which usually looks like a frightened and injured cat.

He decides to give his head to something more concrete than these scary thoughts that want to overwhelm him. After all, that's all he hoped for, Aim, isn't it?

He wanted him to exude confidence and dominance; otherwise, why would he go to all the trouble to introduce him to his fitness sessions and all the other preventive measures, huh?

Well, it's true; we should admit he had to channel his full energy and lack of interest in a subject once he understood it, which usually doesn't take half an hour. But honestly, did Nodge have to train him like a soldier and muscle him like a Greek god when he's only seventeen, huh?

And then, with his legacy, he can't afford to act like a wounded little animal in front of his greedy staff members; it will give them one more reason to eat him raw and spit the bones out to the vultures.

He took a deep breath while avoiding his attention to slip towards the door, not even a glance towards the door where his protegee in the ice statue is frozen like a priceless jewel. He is indeed valuable, but in this context, he is much more frightening, in Nodge's opinion.

He leaned slightly towards Kiara and put his hand on her shoulder so as not to rush her. This one, lost in the contemplation of her son's beautiful face that she witnessed not long ago, the poignant pain that seized him, making him grimace, does not even realize Nodge's hand on her shoulder. She continues to whisper weakly to her son like the light breath of the wind.

In fact, she very clearly remembers the episode at the jewelry store and what Ewen told her. Of course, he avoided mentioning to his mother the panic that seized him that day because of Aim's voice and unexpected presence.

He purposely avoided telling her this whole embarrassing and weird situation started a few days after the latter kissed him on that damn roof of his university building.

But still, this time, it's completely different from when she saw him in this state for the first time. Therefore, in relation to the anecdote of her son, she tries to calm him down by talking to him and showing him that she is there for him.

But hey, no one told her that Aim, the instigator of this terrible change in his son's health, is also the one capable of bringing him back to his normal state.

So, for lack of having Aim to bring him back to the light and the peace of mind he needs, since the latter has decided not to move a finger to help him, Ewen tried with all his being to focus on her mother's voice.

He remembers how much she helped him, more than once when he was on the brink, how his mother kept him on the right path all those years from thinking a single day about putting an end to his days because of the monstrous treatment of his father and his grandparents who hate him and treat him like less than nothing.

If there is one person he can count on with his eyes closed, there is only her. In the beginning, he had only her. They were only the two of them all his life.

So he forced himself to do everything he could to hold on to her, to hold on to that beautiful voice devoid of malice and arrogance that whispered lovely words of encouragement to him.

She reminds him of how strong he is and how much she believes in him. With his strength of spirit, nothing can happen to him because she has never met someone as determined and extraordinary as him.

Ewen clings to that, trying to push away the emotionless blue steel eyes that pierced his soul a few minutes ago and left him in that tearful, pitiful state.

Even the first time he ran into him, even though he was using lenses, Aim didn't glare at him like he was shit his shoes would never come by, and now that they know each other even beyond borderline friendly acquaintance, Quincy treats him way worse than shit.

His eyes that used to caress him, who wanted him and made love to him without touching him, became his focal point in a fraction of a second.

He has the impression he has seen a stranger under this doorstep. He has never seen him with this icy gaze devoid of any trace of humanity.

"What happened to him?" Where is this boy who knows how to play with the nerves of my body without having to open his mouth or touch me, just by using his most devastating seductive gaze?

He is Ewen, after all, the God of war, isn't he? So he has to fight not for his mother's sake but himself. He has to fight against this power Aim held over him and get rid of it as soon as possible.

He has a fighter's soul. He knows that, except since he met Aim, his resolve and wall of defense have been shattered just by a simple look that the latter has laid on him.

It was the first time a boy who wasn't Zack looked at him without looking disgusted or laughing at his face because of his features like he was some joke.

Sometimes they even circle him, laughing and touching him everywhere like wild beasts playing with their prey, but that's when Zack wasn't with him.

Then one fine day, they stopped acting like fools around him, but they could never watch him without having disgusting thoughts running through their minds. Even if they claim they hate him, they all want to taste and devour him.

Thank God they could only do that because he had someone near him who frightened them so much that they even feared their own shadow when they saw him pass.

They jump in fright every time they hear Zack's voice, even at a reasonable distance from them. This was after they tried to bully Ewen and Zack taught them their life lesson.

He doesn't give a damn about the physical pain he inflicts on them. He breaks their feet, arms, and jaws without showing any regrets or thinking twice about their family since they allow themselves to look up at his friend in such a disgusting way, just like he rammed into Aim like a truck, smashing his ribs with his fists and he wasn't even mad that day.

He had to do it that way so they could never forget what could happen to them if they ever tried something stupid when they ran into Ewen alone.

Beneath his serious and carefree looks hides someone who is very protective and, above all, a very mean person when it comes to protecting someone dear to him. Let's say when it comes to safeguarding Ewen. He goes about it with elegance and joy of heart. He is an artist in doing it.

Zack is the type to pulverize every bone in your body to a dismal mush just for an out-of-place sideways glance, but no one but him and Ewen know that.

"It's pathetic, Ewen, to let yourself be oppressed by a self-centered little shit. It's not your style at all, mate. So move your ass and get out of this horrible state." he snarled at himself inwardly.

After thinking about Zack's way of protecting him and what Aim said to him the first time he almost dragged him home, he started lecturing himself. He should not let someone as unstable as Aim have a firm hand on him. It's out of question. That's a big hell no Buddy.

Aim told him he was his possession and the was territorial… "Territorial, my ass," the latter growled aggressively, which startled his mother, but the words weren't too clear for her to grasp what he said in his growl.

Squatting on her high heels for so long is no small feat. Kiara's jump caused her to lose her balance. The hand Nodge placed on her shoulder clenched as he tried to help her keep her balance.

It must be said that the little lady has it in her knees. She even deserves a standing ovation to salute her courage and elegance.

That's only then she felt Nodge's hand on her shoulder, she flinched, and her heart quivered before racing with ants tingling in her stomach despite herself at the touch of that iron grip on her.

We will put all this down to the soft fabric of her haute couture suit, which is not thick enough and unable to protect her against the heat that emanates from the palm of this bronze Apollo.
