Chapter 1: Welp I'm Dead

'Its a very weird feeling, dying I mean. If your wondering no its not easier then falling asleep. It sucks it hurts and now I can only look up at the sky after being hit by a semitruck after pushing a child out of the way.

Heh maybe it was Truck-kun, that would be awesome maybe ill be reincarnated by a R.O.B.' Were the thoughts of one Cid Takanawa. After saving the life of a child he didn't know from a oncoming truck he lay in the middle of the street bleeding out, dying.

As he lay there suddenly, he found himself in a empty white space with nothing but fog as far as the eye can see.

"What...the hell is going on..."

"Well your dead and now I get some entertainment." a voice called out from behind him. As Cid whirled around he came face to face with a being wrapped in light with no discernable features other than a golden halo atop where his head should be.

"Are you God?"

"Well I am a God but not the one your thinking of. I'm a R.O.B and now lets skip all the boring intros and get to the point. One: Your dead, two: I'm going to send you to another earth with a system that is random, and three I'm going to watch but not interfere with your decisions."

"Ok so what happens now?" Cid asked looking around.

"Now? Now you go bye bye!" The R.O.B cackled.

"Wait wh-a?!

Now suddenly finding himself in a house of all things Cid was confused. As he try to gather his wits he was bombarded with memories of this body.

His name was Tien Takanawa, the man he reincarnated as was a game developer of no note, he had no family and no money, and on top of all of that he was a Japanese born national. not that cid was agaist that he was already half japanese from his mothers side of the family. As he tried to get himself in order a window of energy appeared before him.

As Cid looked on dumbly he couldn't help but think...

'I'm screwed...' he thought.

After reading the message that appeared in front of him, Cid immediately got a piece of paper to write down his goals, he either needed to be hired by a company or he need to found his own. seeing as he had more money than he needed he immediately set out to find a realtor to buy a small building.

Afterwards he would need to hire at least 4 to 7 people for his new venture in video game making. Going through the memories of the body he found that he at least wasn't a complete shut in and did have some friends to hopefully help him start this.

"I need to go see Umetsu, Tsuna, and Kari...hopefully they can help." he thought as he got into his car and drove to where he knew they would be.

Meanwhile:

In a Nomiya(Bar) across town two friends were sitting having drinks while discussing how to acquire work. As 1991 was coming around jobs were scarce and money was tight.

In a booth not too far from the door two people were drinking while bemoaning that they had no jobs. The first was a young woman of 20 years old with long black hair with purple highlights in it, she was pretty and had no blemishes to speak of. The other person was a male of the same age who had short black hair and a bit of stubble on his chin. he looked disheveled as if he had not been taking care of himself lately.

"I just don't know what to do Umetsu, I was just fired from my previous job and no one is going to hire a programmer without a recommendation. *sigh*" Kari said while taking a swig of her sake.

"I know, Kari its getting harder and harder just to stay afloat in this country, i cant get a job either and my designer degree isn't helping currently. No one is hiring artists right now especially ones who work on a computer."

As they continued to talk, they saw Tsuna come into the bar also looking rather grim. Tsuna had a wild look to him having spiked black hair with blonde tips, dressed in a suit and tie while looking like he was in the yakuza.

Tsuna saw his friends and immediately sat down next to them.

"No luck on finding a job as well?" Tsuna quietly asked.

"No its just getting harder and harder to find and keep one." Kari responded looking hopeless.

At this time Tein popped into the bar and saw them.

"Guys! I have something to show you come with me!" Cid hurriedly whispered.

They curiously got up after looking at each other and followed him out of the bar to his car that was haphazardly parked.

"I have found a job that we all can share, that also plays to our skillset. I'm going to make a video game company and I want you three to be my first employees!"

The threes eyes sparkled as they thought of the possibilities. This was a dream come true as they all could help in some way, either through Kari's programming, Umetsu's skill in art design, Tsuna's Musical skills, and Cid's skills in marketing and programing. Plus they all liked games so what could be better than making them for a living? Games hadn't become mainstream yet. No one wanted to go into that market especially as it was currently like the wild west. After getting the details of how they were going to start this so called company, they all left to find a suitable building to house their dream jobs.

It had been over a month since Cid had offered them jobs, now that they had a building to work out of and the equipment to do so, it was time to make games. But first they needed to name their new company. Cid who had started the whole idea called it a name that was a powerhouse in old world. Nintendo. The others were curious about the name but didn't ask where the name had come from.

1 Month Later

Cid was sitting in his new office thinking about what game to make first. It had to be a memorable one. A game that resonated with people of all ages. Then like a bolt of lightning he had his answer, Super Mario Bros.

But first he needed to open the starter pack!
