Arrival to Astral

As soon as the warning was over, a bright beam of light hit my eyes, and then within a second my entire room was covered with the white light. It felt like I was in a void and moving in any direction will make no difference. The only thing I was able to see was white color everywhere. I think it was the 4th dimension which is time itself. But the problem is that I know nothing about Astral and nor do I know what my first mission is going to be. The system was so kind enough to provide me with no information about the Astral or the mission. But I think it is me who should be blamed and the system even warned me about the consequences.

I was just self-introspecting myself when the system spoke up-

"This mission is not going to be easy. Users often think that the mission must be very basic."

"'It means I am not the only one who has system structure. Even I thought that the first level will be very easy and basic."

"Indeed it's not at all complex but the first mission tests your patience. Almost 90% of the user fail the 1st test. This number is really terrifying. I hope you will take action accordingly. This info will be sufficient for now because we are going to get teleported to Astral through time and space. Since it's your first time so you might get dizzy. Hence, I will provide you with the rest of the information once the teleportation process is over."

"Alright."

Then all of a sudden I realized that my legs were numb and I could no longer feel my feet on the ground. I was flying inside a hollow sphere outside and I saw nothing but the color white. The reflection was so strong that it felt like the light is going to Pearce through my eyeball. It was really a terrifying experience. The sphere then began to make some movement and began to oscillate around its axis. I was really getting curious to know what was happening outside so tried opening my eyes. I tried to open my eyelid very gently and slowly. A blurry scenario appeared in front of my eyes. I don't know why but my entire body was glowing bright green. It seemed as if it is trying to send a single to the astral that Arora is coming. The scenario was getting clear and I saw a gigantic meteoroid right in front of me. I thought that we are going to collide with the meteoroid but luckily this spherical ball is a very good driver and it prevented the accident.

I was in space and nothing like the earth was visible. The only thing which I was able to see was vast melancholy darkness and tiny stars all around me. Oxymoronic isn't it from bright white to melancholy dark. The sphere was traveling at such a speed that I was even not able to look at a star for more than a second. Gigantic stars were passing by like roadside trees. The momentum of the sphere was so high that I was just able to look forward.

"Get ready Lokk we are almost there"

I was able to see a gigantic solar system right in front of me. This solar system was really strange because all the planets were like gems and crystals. They were like Jupiter made up of trillions of octagons and pentagons. But the strangest among them was the Sun of the solar system which was imparting bright Red light. The sphere began to move toward a planet light blue in color which had a calm aura. It seemed as if it symbolizes peace and harmony. Then I felt some turbulence and a strong gravitational force tried to pull me, it was like I was being pulled inside a strong whirlpool.

I lost my consciousness due to strong field forces acting on me. When I opened my eyes I found myself inside an evergreen forest. It was dark I looked above and found two pale yellow moons right above me. These two moons were surrounded by 5 shiny structures in the formation of a star and the moons were in between them. I found it strange but ignored it.

"You are finally awake. We are already running 5 hours late so hurry and get on your feet."

"Is this planet Astral?"

"Yes, and currently we are in Manloch Forest."

I was on my feet and ready to begin my adventure journey.

"We have a week to complete the first mission. But before starting the main mission you need to gain skills and accessories. This forest is like a paradise for the beginner. It is full of mysterious, powerful, unique crystals and resources. But you can only take 5 items from this entire forest which is spread over a radius of 10 miles. So you have to choose wisely."

"You must be knowing which items are important and rare."

"I used to but most of my memories about Astral and the missions have been formatted by the higher authorities as a punishment."

I looked around and was astonished by the enormous size of the trees and herbs. According to the system, the forest didn't even contain a single weed. Every single plant had some or the other importance. The height of every single herb was about 2 meters, neither of which was greater or smaller than 2 meters. While the trees had an average height of 70 meters. I had to examine the flora and fauna of the forest so I tried to explore the forest. I came across several animals which were just like any other animal on earth. I found nothing peculiar in the fauna. But the flora was beyond my understanding. Every single herb was different from the other which meant every single of them is one of a kind and I know none about any of them.

"Hey Arora, I think we should take 5 herbs and then must start our journey. The animals here are just the same and neither is there any difference in their sizes. Since every single herb present here is one of a kind it would be better to have them."

"Don't get excited. It's true that my entire memory has been formatted but I still remember some facts about the first mission. Your analysis is not wrong but the thing is that you are thinking just like any ordinary person. As I said before this mission will test your patience. Players often give up after realizing how vast this forest is. Eventually, they pick up just random herbs and proceed to complete the mission. They might succeed in doing so but they missed this golden opportunity to take whatever they wanted from this mythical forest filled with mysteries.

I said you that we can take 5 items but you can also consume 5 herbs from the forest at most. Although no one has ever tried to eat 5 of them. The reason being said is that when 5 herbs of Manloch forest are consumed within a week then it turns your entire body into poop. Your entire body will decompose to become poop."

"Eww, that sound both terrifying and disgusting"

"Now shall we begin our journey of what to eat, what not to eat what to take and what to leave?"
