Another Blood Tear

So we had 5 days in our hands and decisions were to be made wisely and the maximum output has to produce as every day passed.

In front of me was a big tree. Its name was engraved on the tusk with capital letters which stated the name as "The Wise". The tree had a stair-like structure in a helical path up to the top. It looked like a gigantic anaconda with a body of stairs crawling up the tree. I thought of climbing the tree to have a wide view

"Lokk I will now assign you your very first task which is to climb the tree 'The Wise' plus explore the forest and find something which is worth at least an E grade.

Reward: 1. Agility will increase by 20 from 0

2. Stamina will increase from 0 to 30. "

"Now that's what I wanted to hear bro, leveling up along with completion of tsk ."

E grade was considered to be the lowest grade so it's going to be easy. I knew that climbing up the tree through those stairs ain't gonna be easy. Obviously, it will be tiring but imagine if you were in my place and if you are awarded agility and stamina this easily. Exactly you will grab this opportunity and so will I.

"My first event I will give it my all. Our first ever event together. C'mon Arora let's do it"

I took a deep breath and had a bright smile on my face and ran at my full speed. I was running like 144p Usain Bolt version. As said by Albert Einstein 'To keep your balance, you must keep moving' so did I. The climb which was expected to be completed within 3 hours was completed within 2 and half hours. I think that's what you call the impact of the excess release of adrenaline in your body.

"Congrats Lokk you climbed way too quickly"

I took a look all around and found that I was on the biggest tree in the forest which was about 200 meters high. Seriously how the hell I covered such a distance in such a small span of time? But keeping that aside I focused on my main goal which was to explore the forest and the tree. I tried to observe every single herb I could. Each one of them was different and since it was dark I was barely able to beyond 100 meters.

"It's way too dark Arora can you make an analysis of the visible area for now"

"All right I will give it a try. it may take half an hour so till then why don't you get upon any of the branches and pluck one fruit. These fruits may be high rank, you never know."

The fruit of the wise was considered to possess medical importance. There were only three branches on Mr. Wise and we were at the junction of the three. Just like Robert frost's said 'two roads diverged in the yellow wood, but this time 3 branches diverged in this dark wood and sorry I can't travel all three. The color of the fruit on each branch was different which clearly signifies the variation in the qualities. As seconds turned into minutes, I was still not able to figure out which way to go the reason being I only wanted to take a single fruit out of the three. Then I just chose at random and walked to the one containing blue fruits. The fruit was like an apple. I sat on the branch to pluck one when I slipped. Luckily 144p Usain bolt was able to pluck one of the fruit. I was falling and enjoying the freefall. I was sure to injure my spinal cord. To minimize the injury I tried to reduce my momentum by grabbing the branches of different trees every single time when I slipped from one. The final fall was about 5 meters and it minimized my injury a lot. Seriously I could have died on the very first day (sadly readers I didn't). Even though I broke my left leg.

"Quickly eat that goddam fruit. It has an E-class recovery ability" said the system.

Strange isn't it, a tree named Wise only possesses a fruit of E grade. I was expecting at least a B.

I quickly ate the blue apple which literally tasted like an apple, maybe earth's one is better. The healing power was real. By the time I finished the entire apple I was back to normal and it felt like nothing really happened. Rather than having pain all over my body, I felt very refreshed and active. The fruit might be an E grade but it was worth an A grade.

I was back on my feet and was ready to move on when I felt the presence of strong energy behind me. I don't know how a noob like me was able to even sense auras like pros. The mysterious aura was coming from a creature hiding in the bush behind me. I went near the bush and to my surprise found a sparrow with an egg in her mouth and tears of blood rolling down her eyes. Something similar happened when I met that sparrow the previous day.
