The sun was up. The light coming from the windows brightened up the room, giving her such a wonderful feeling. She could feel his heart beating underneath the palm of her hands as his chest moved with a steady rhythm, in time with his breathing.
She pushed herself on her elbows to have a better look at his features. She liked to stare at his sleeping form because it always had a calming effect on her.
Her phone suddenly made a buzzing noise, notifying her of an incoming call. She immediately snatched her mobile on the nightstand, hoping she could get it in time before she disturbed his peaceful sleep.
She was too late. He started stirring on the bed and his eyes pried open. After rubbing his face, his eyes focused on her.
"Sorry," She mouthed as she gestured to the handset in her hand which was still ringing. He stretched lazily in the bed but continued to check her out with a smirk.
