I Can Write the Fate of Heroines to My Liking!

A/N: This is a rewrite version. Different MC, System, Setting, and so on. *** If you stumble upon a magical book that can change not only a person's fate, but also a region, a historical event, and even the order of the world, what would you do? For me, I wouldn't put much thought but to keep it for myself. Like, how could you not? When I moved to a new place, I come across that strange book. There was only one page filled with texts in it, and the content was something you'd expect from a prank. I thought the previous owner got scammed or something, but lo and behold, he wasn't! That book has the power to change fate! When I accidentally wrote the name of someone from a different world, I found myself transported to the world that existed with the target. In order to get the chance to change fate again, one of the methods was to reverse the target's original fate as much as possible. Sounds fun, if you'd ask me. My goal? Have fun with all the book's features, of course! *** 7 Advanced Chapters in Patreon https://www(.)patreon.com/WildCatMan *** Current World: Oshi no Ko

New Beginning

A/N: It's a rewrite, yes.

Different MC, System, and Setting.

I'll take a thorough approach to the heroines this time, unlike before that seemed to be rushed for the readers.

Don't worry, most of the heroines from before will still be here, just longer to appear since I'll focus on Ai Hoshino for quite a while.

Main Character (Image in Comment): Hiroki Yoshikawa

***

It was somewhere around a small village. There was a vast and large traditional building located close to the rice fields. It served as a special inn, divided into several quarters, and inside one of them,

"Finally!"

I smiled widely, so wide that it might came across as ridiculous.

In my hands and on my back were several belongings, and I stood in front of a corridor leading to several doors, both along the sides and at the end. They have a traditional village-style vibe. This was the place that would be my new home from now on. Far from the reach of those two wretched parents.

The story is somewhat typical, really. I had serious problems with my family. Problems that escalated to the point where I just wanted to kill them. Of course, that was impossible. Despite my background, I still wanted to live and enjoy various things before dying. Killing them would also be a crime, and I could end up in prison. Prison would restrict my freedom.

I tried to hold back my laughter, but considering there was no one here besides me, I let it all out without holding back. 'After graduating high school, going to college, I'll get a job far away from them! Well, it probably won't be that easy.'

I hurried to check out my new living space. I quickly found that the place was well-maintained by the owner. Satisfied with its upkeep, I began to meticulously unpack my belongings.

'Laptop, books, clothings--'

While unpacking, I found a book under the table. It was beside my bed.

I picked it up and curiously read the title. 'The Fate Writer's Guide…?'

A relic from the previous tenant?

I gently opened the cover of the book. Reading it, a weird look quickly formed on my face.

[Welcome, dear reader.

This is a book dedicated to guiding you to become a skilled writer of fate.

Before we begin, you should write down which fate you wish to alter.]

'How ridiculous...'

That was all there was on the first page, right after the cover. As I flipped to the next page, and the one after that, and the next one, they were all blank. I quickly rifled through the pages without carefully looking and, as expected, they were all blank.

"Was the previous tenant scammed or something?" I muttered, having the urge to laugh. 'That's just sad.'

I returned the book on the table without caring much and continued setting up my new place.

I arrived here in the afternoon, precisely at five o'clock, and finished unpacking everything by five minutes to six.

I turned on the lights in the dark room and sat at the study desk. I had set up my laptop, textbooks, and other items there. The strange book I found under the table was also there, open to the first page. 'Since it's here…' I picked up a pencil and wrote down a certain character's name on the paper, grinning. 'It would be funny if this actually allowed me to control someone's fate—beyond this world.' With such silly thoughts, I finished writing. I turned to the next page, harboring the funny wish that there would be a written response—which surprisingly, there was.

"...?"

But what surprised me was not the writing. Instead, an inexplicable, strange feeling that suddenly flowed through my body. It felt similar to a shiver. 'What the hell was that?'

As I took notice of the open page,

"Ah?"

I was bewildered.

[Your request has been accepted.

One Fate Point has been given, namely the Fate of an Individual.]

[Ai Hoshino was a famous idol who died due to actions triggered by Hikaru Kamiki. She left behind twin children named Aqua Hoshino and Ruby Hoshino, both of whom are from Hikaru Kamiki.

Is there anything you would like to change about her fate?]

Faced with the absurdity before me, I couldn't help but sneer. 'Yeah, and how should I know that the fate had been changed? From the manga and anime suddenly shifting their plotlines?'

I had just happened to watch and read the manga recently to write down her name.

I wondered briefly about the origins of the odd book, but set that thought aside right away and picked up a pencil to write. 'Let's play along, and start with the most cliché, though if the book's usefulness is only as far as I think, it'll get boring quickly.' Sure, changing someone's fate sounds grand, but only at first glance. 'If it could affect other aspects of fates, that would be cooler... Uh, it said something along that lines subtly, so I guess I was wrong on that note.'

There was no section to give an answer, so I take a look on the following page just to check. Skimming through it, I noticed quite a few things. 'Some kind of rules, huh? There's a word limit. Also, a limit for erasing content, conditions for authorship, and whatever that is.' At the same time, depending on what I write, I could get extraordinary things with little effort. Those limits can also be increased, it seems.

I thought for a moment. 'Hoshino's fate... An encounter with her sounds like it'd bring more trouble than benefit—yet, that's the point!' Living without obstacles is the same as not living at all.

I made up my mind in that instant.

I wrote something short on the book's pages. There were no strict writing style requirements, so I had no trouble for the most part.

My phone rang soon as I was done, forcing my attention away from the book. I picked it up from the table and checked the incoming message.

[Boss: Hiro, can you come here as soon as possible? I need your help. Sorry to ask on your day off and right after you moved, but I'll promise extra pay if you come.]

'What's the problem?' I was naturally surprised by the sudden request.
